When i was studying abroad, one of our sikh batchmates invited us to the Gurudwara. So we, a group of 7-8 students (all Indians) went with him to the Gurudwara.

It was a very mixed experience for me though...

The younger generation very warmly helped us in covering our heads etc.

When i went to the main worshipping hall, I got emotional with the peace and tranquility, also seeing women of my mom's age who reminded me of my mom. Even they noticed me getting emotional trying to hold back my tears and were looking at me as if they wanted to talk but... I felt hesitant and just left the hall looking down...

Then we entered the other hall where food was being served with an attached kitchen next to the hall. Even there the younger generation men & women were very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, something that i really really missed being outside India. However there was one thing that I noticed and felt very discomforting. It was the stares some older males were giving us.

I'm very intuitive in this aspect as to where I'm getting bad vibes and I could clearly sense those unwelcoming and hostile vibes in those elderly males.

I left the Gurudwara feeling overall good & peaceful but the I didn't accompany my friends to the Gurudwara again, just for eating delicious & free Indian food smiley9

I had sensed some hostility in there and my self respect didn't allow me to go there again.

Btw at that time i wasn't even aware of the khalistani movement in countries like UK & Canada.

I'm sure Justin Trudeau's ego will eventually get more likes than the real Justin Trudeau
