A much-better batting display by Hong Kong. Two of their top four were among the runs and that helped build a solid foundation. Zeeshan was more sedate than usual at the start, but did find the fence a few times before perishing. Nizakat was also scratchier than he would have wanted but his 42, coupled with Murtaza's 28-run cameo, have allowed Hong Kong to get past 140, which may not seem like a lot, but does give them something to play with.

Hong Kong have finished with 143, a much better effort than what they managed the other night against Afghanistan. The intent was there right through the innings, even though that didn't always translate to the outcome they wanted. They had contributions right through the order, some of them slow, some brisk, none very eye-catching. The eye-catching bit came from Tanzim Sakib who bowled some cracking deliveries and was the pick of the bowlers with 2/21. The pitch looks decent to bat on. Goes at it too early and the bottom hand comes off as a result. Hayat settles himself under the high ball and sends Emon on his way. Ayush is pumped, and why shouldn't he be!

Ateeq Iqbal to Tanzid Hasan, OUT

catch it is the cry, and taken brilliantly by Nizakat! Fullish just outside off and this seems to nip away just a smidgen. Tanzid wants to go down the ground but the movement means that he cuts across his stroke a little too much. Nizakat, running back from mid off, seems to misjudge it initially but then redeems himself to gobble it up over his right shoulder. Superb grab, and Hong Kong have their second wicket!
