One side cricket is flourishing like this.. Other side India conducted India open 750 badminton tournament last week and foreign players have complained about unclean stadiums/restrooms and full bird poop everywhere.. 🤦‍♀️

Waste of all that money - one they can use it to improve the existing conditions of the already present stadiums or make sure other games are also having the best possible infrastructure - why are they in a mad rush to build new without improving the existing ones, only lord knows. smiley44

Now when final of ICC events Or IPL takes place everybody are thronging to Gujarat.. AP wants to build similar one and boost economy for their state considering how much cricket is loved.. Bigger the seating capacity bigger the revenue for them..nobody cares about renovating existing ones

Kohlitards getting triggered again by someone appreciating a cricketer other than Kohli. smiley37smiley39

This time it's Coldplay honoring Bumrah.

Kohli should wash his feet and drink it for giving him a captaincy career and a T20 WC trophy.

I told you. smiley37

The difference is a word called Accountability.

BCCI is non governmental body and doesn't get anything from Govt. Instead it gives a lot. Everything they have built is thier own. So they have the accountability.

But for other sports it's just free money from govt grants because public doesn't watch them much because they win 🔔 at global level barring a few generational talent.

Hockey ko Zinda karne ke liye CPR dena for many many years. 2016 me to qualify bhi nahi huye the.

Football and others ka to baat hi mat karo.

Bcci lost one home series in 12 years. ONE. And there is a whole new set of strict protocols and regulations to follow now. That's repercussions of actions.

Anything like this in other sports? Wrestling me to sabko trial bhi nahi dena. Just because we won medals so we should get automatic spot.

Prakash Padukone was so right in saying no Olympic medals in badminton is pathetic performance. There is no excuse of lack of facilities now.

India is now preparing athletes for winter Olympic and winter games. From a country that has 10 months of summer out of 12.

But other sports can't even do basic stuff right.

Kabaddi and Kho Kho are planning for next level and jo sports already big hai unse kuch nahi ho raha.

Its Andhra Cricket Association not Andhra Govt. There is a difference. Why would a cricket association care for other sports? Other sports associations are dead?

Also if people don't know Cricket is India is not govt controlled. It has No obligation towards others sports.

And BCCI ruling is that State association should have thier own stadiums for getting regular matches. Ofcourse BCCI will help but it should be owned not rented. Rented stadiums owned by Govt will be in low priority. When was the last time a match was held in Andhra Pradesh and not Telangana? 😅

And if someone wants to talk about NaMo stadium, it's owned by Gujarat Cricket Association not Govt Of India. Govt of India rents its for thier work.

Yup - matches are held in Hyderabad, essentially Telengana. It’s not AP.

This is news to me - I didn’t know government did not control the sports associations. I did know BCCI is not government controlled but assumed the state associations come under the control of the respective state governments since they do contribute revenue to the government ( they do right? )

@b: government rents cricket stadiums ? smiley22 I’m today years old when I got to know this smiley36

Haan I agree about accountability... BCCI is flourishing because India is a cricket loving nation where money pours in from all ends whereas government invests for other sports..there is board for different sport.. They aren't held accountable for mismanagement..

When Mia Blichfeld said that the stadiums were full of bird poop, bots are attacking her front back and centre for saying something like this about India but nobody is held accountable/questioned from administration side for maintaining stadiums like this and conducting international level tournaments which eventually tarnishes India's image world wide..
