5.82 Econ - is it per over? or average of the all the overs bowler has bowled in the match??

how is SR calculated??

Economy means that bowler usually gives 5.82 runs an over on an average.

SR means, that bowler takes a wicket after bowling 31.56 balls on an average.

Cheers..

Netherlands, produced a decent show against a formidable Pakistan unit despite enduring a blow by 81 runs. Bas de Leede in particular was the star among the Dutch, delivering promising performances in both departments.

The all-rounder accounted for four scalps with the ball and conceded 62 runs in the nine overs he bowled. He was equally good with the bat and gave the Netherlands a fighting chance against the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, but his side could only manage 205 in response to Pakistan's 286.

We are back in Hyderabad for Match 6 as teams begin to play their second matches of the tournament. With all teams having had a chance to showcase their wares, we’ve got a fair idea of how they stack up. Although both these teams got off to contrasting starts, both teams made a great impression in their own right. While New Zealand completely blew England away, the Netherlands put up a good fight against Pakistan despite going down in the end. While the odds might be stacked against the Dutch today, there’s always a prospect of an upset and games like those are always extremely exciting.

How did New Zealand kickstart their campaign? Well, the Kiwis couldn't have hoped for a better start to the World Cup. They set off to a winning start and it wasn't just any win. They gave defending champions England a sound drubbing. Chasing 283 to win, New Zealand got there with 9 wickets and nearly 14 overs to spare. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra shared a monumental 273-run stand and they made an astute captain and his world-class bowling attack look clueless.

And what about the Netherlands? They might've lost in their opening encounter against Pakistan but they had a lot of positives to take away. On a placid surface, the Netherlands bowled really well to restrict the opposition to 286. They even got off to a promising start with the bat but unfortunately, they lost their way in the middle overs as Pakistan hit back by claiming a clump of wickets. Nonetheless, the Netherlands looked very competetive and even held the edge for large parts of the game - something that'll give them confidence moving ahead.
