Yes. And I can write an essay what happened. Captain was dull and lifeless and it rubbed off on the team. Choking in crunch moments and getting slow. She shouldn't have been selected first of all. It should have been Jemimah instead of Mithali with harman as captain.

If you can get extended Hls, watch the SA - ind game and just focus on Harmanpreet and then compare that with Mithali. Harmanpreet put her everything on the line. Didn't care about injury. Scored runs, took wickets, pulled off spectacular saves and catches without caring about injuries. It was as if she decided i will alone take this team to the title. And she made is reach a point where we were winning but a no ball in crunch situation cost us.

Hopefully with Mithali gone we can build a new team for home wc in 2025 and win it at home repeating the glorious 2011 of mens.

BTW the pattern is same here. 😆 Heartbreak in final in 2017 (2003). Kicked out in first round in 2022(2007). Winners at home in 2025? (like 2011). I hope so.

There is one more factor. Indian world cup winning captains have been from small unknown towns. 😆 Kapil Dev from Chandigarh (unknown then). Ms from Ranchi.

Harmanpreet is from Moga (punjab). Will the small town luck work for us again? 😆
