VJ, I tried the finds your friends app. It works... but takes a long time locating your friend. You have to send a request to your friend(s) and only then can you follow them. It's quite cool to keep an eye on close friends and family *ahem*

Well I am yet to find a friend who is using iPhone as most of them are on BlackBerry.

However my complain with iOS5 for iPad is that why they didnt included the Siri feature with the new release for iPad 2 atleast as it has the same processor they have put in iPhone 4S.

And secondly why they have not included the Stock and Weather feature for iPad? This is not done Apple. 😔

been using it for 2 days now...no issues...except for the contacts...is it just me or the add contact button just disappeared?...same with the edit contacts button...i don't see either of them

as for iMessage...i am confused about that as well...i messaged a friend who has an iPhone 4...it automatically switched to iMessage instead of normal texting...however for another friend..who also has the same phone it didn't (both on wifi!)...

my guess is its because for one i saved her phone number in contacts as iPhone...and for other as mobile...but how do i go about changing that now since the option to edit isn't working?

I also tried the iMessage feature. One has to enable iMessage from Settings menu.

Ohh, I don't have an ipad. I am waiting for the ipad 3 impatiently. I don't know if you are aware but jailbreakers are porting siri to iphone 4 and ipod touch 4. There are a few jailbreakers that I am following on twitter. The main jailbreaker who is porting the application to the iPhone 4 is named iH8sn0w and there are many articles about his work: http://www.gmanews.tv/story/235494/technology/hackers-port-siri-to-older-iphones

The thing is Siri doesn't require an A5 processor to run on the previous iPhones as the "thinking" done by it is done on Apple's servers. Sadly, Apple needs to sell those iPhone 4Ss hence have excluded it from us older users. Fingers crossed sooner or later, through jailbreak, we might have Siri or even better through an official iOS 5 update.

Everything toone side I am really ejoying the notification system and iMessage. I still remember when push notifications was introduced in iOS 3 and since then the operating system has grown massively.

Well a lot of people are eagerly waiting for the unveiling of the latest version of iPhone at Apple Headquarters in Cupertino. Whether it will be the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 or both we will soon be finding it out.

This event should also be about releasing the much awaited iOS 5 and iCloud for public which they have announced in their last event by Steve Jobs himself.

If you are an iPhone user well you can look forward to the new iOS 5 which will have a lot of new features and the most talked about iMessage (something similar to BBM for Blackberry Users) and improved notifications and much more..

Lets find out who all are excited about the new iPhone / iCloud / iOS. And do you think its just a lot of hype or its really cool. You can even share what you like the most about iPhone / iPad.

This will also help us understand our audience as we roll out the India Forums Mobile App for iPhone / iPad. 😊
