Scene: Beach

Daya is seen romancing a girl Shouki. Suddenly, there's a writing on the sand saying 'Daya, you will die today'. Shouki starts crying, returns her engagement ring to Daya and says it's best for them to break up as she doesn't want him to die.

Flashback:

Scene : Bureau

Shouki walks into the bureau in tears, saying that she has killed Rajesh. She shows a paper cutting of the obituary and explains how he had died in a hotel room where he was staying. The doctors had said that he had a heart attack but Shouki says that's not true.

ACP finds the baggage tag on her bag and finds that it's dated the same day and asks her how it is possible when she was not even in town when Rajesh was killed. She explains that she's the cause of the deaths of Rajesh, Nitin and Gautam as well.

Flashback (within flashback):

Shouki is in college and there's a shy guy named Nitin who loves Shouki but is ridiculed by their classmates. Shouki too doesn't show any interest in him. Nitin is upset and commits suicide in the boys hostel by wrapping his head in a plastic bag. Everyone blames Shouki for the death of Nitin.

Gautam is another guy whom she met in Chennai and he dies the same way as Rajesh - of suffocation (or heart attack) in a hotel room.

CID team decides to investigate.

Scene : Bureau

Salunkhe checks Rajesh's body says that Rajesh's body had turned yellow and was completely devoid of oxygen, which is only possible if someone stays in a congested place for a long time.

Scene : Hotel

CID team decides to check the hotel room where Rajesh had died. They look at the room and the pictures of how the body was found and conclude that there was indeed something fishy here. They decide to talk to Gautam's parents.

Scene : Bureau

CID team talks to Gautam's parents through Skype and they say that Gautam had suddenly died of heart attack which was shocking.

Pankaj brings the layout and CCTV footages of the hotel. But there's nothing fishy there.

Abhijeet suggests that all the people who died were lovers of Shouki, so if one of them could play Shouki's boyfriend they could catch the murderer. Finally ACP asks (orders 😆) Daya to go and play Shouki's boyfriend.

Daya agrees and starts 'dating' Shouki with a camera and mic fitted to his body and CID team watching him 24x7.

Back to present

Daya is still on the beach and gets a call from ACP saying that they have to catch the killer and asks him to be alert.

Scene : Hotel room

Daya checks in, Pankaj shows him all the cameras fitted and also an Oxygen tank for emergencies.

Daya lies down on the bed and waits for something to happen.

Shouki comes and pleads with Daya not to risk his life for her. Abhijeet talks to Shouki through the headset and asks her to leave.

CID team watches him. After some time, a suspicious looking guy tries to open Daya's room. ACP warns Daya and he gets ready to shoot, but it turns out that the guy had mistaken Daya's room for his own.

Suddenly there's a power failure in the bureau. After some effort by Freddie with the mains, the lights come on and the footage is visible once again. Daya is seen flat on the bed. Abhijeet calls him a few times but Daya doesn't move. Everyone gets worried, then Daya wakes up and says that he's alive. Abhijeet makes a sarcastic comment about how he's able to sleep peacefully when they were all worried about his welfare.

ACP starts feeling that the killer has changed his mind about the location or murder and asks Daya to check out immediately.

Scene : Daya driving his car next day

Daya starts feeling a little suffocated and tries to open the windows, but they don't open. The car brakes also don't respond. Daya somehow brings the car to a halt, struggles against the falling oxygen level in the car, kicks the windshield with all his might and breaks it open to get some oxygen.

Scene : Hospital

The doctor says Daya was lucky to survive. Shouki holds herself responsible for what happened to Daya. Daya tells her it's not her fault.

Abhijeet phones ACP and tells him that he has found something in the car.

Scene : Lab

Salunkhe finds a marble-like thing in the AC duct of the car and analyses it to find that it is a chemical which draws all the oxygen from the surroundings into itself and this chemical was still under research and not available to general public.

ACP says that it could be chemistry student, because even Nitin was a chemistry student. He asks his team to make a list of all friends of Nitin who were chemistry students.

Scene : Bureau

Shouki and the manager of the hotel where Daya had stayed arrive. ACP tells Shouki that they had found the culprit and it was one of her college mates Red Rose who always posted messages on Nitin's death anniversary (7 Feb) . They show the footage where Red Rose was following Shouki (I presume Daya kept an eye on people around them when he was dating Shouki). The hotel manager recognises her as Reena who had checked in along with Rajesh. Shouki recognises her as Rajshri, her college mate. Purvi brings in Red Rose, alias Rashi who was in love with Nitin and held Shouki responsible for Nitin's death and wanted revenge. Rajshri says that she wanted Shouki to suffer the same pain, so decided to kill all her boyfriends.

Rajshri is taken away and Shouki thanks the CID team, Daya in particular. 😉
