I was and am still actually glad they did that instead of totally scrapping the contest.
This date obviously seems more realistic seeing the scale of the competition.

But point 2 is dangerous. Plus they may have postponed the date in a hope most of participants will forget this. If they totally scrap the contest , fans will get totally angry.

I don't think anyone who has invested so much time into writing a story will forget it in a matter of 3-4 months.
Clause 2 was always there, it's there is all the contests usually because of the risk of not getting enough or good entries. To scrap such hugely promoted contest that too related to its flagship programme is just foolish.

I partially agree with you mini. But FIR experience don't allow me to agree full. And again they haven't shown the postponed date on TV nor on their official sony site. Where as Ads & promotions were on these platforms. This date announcement is made on the site where we have submitted all the stories. And that site is now practically dead. Even in that site they have made announcement in T & C page where u get to see this small change only if u see carefully. I accidentally saw that & posted. Everybody will not be that regular & even I can forget .

I made those statements based on my own knowledge and the posts made on this thread only,where I assumed that announcements on this thread were based on an official announcement.

It was official announcement. But it is made in such a way that many people might have not seen it. Or at least that can be the intention of makers. Because if the intention is honest , then they should have announce it on TV. They could easily show it below like a strip in on going episode of CID.
Anyway, let's remain positive & hope for the best and may someone here from IF writers wins. 😊 But we should be alert & ready for fight till our best , that's my concern. We just can't let them go as it is.
