Scene : A house
7 friends (5 guys and 2 girls) who were in college together have a reunion.
They decide to have fun by playing a game of summoning an aatma and talking to it. They all go into a dark room and sit around a table with candles etc.
Some lights flicker and they assume that an aatma has indeed arrived. One girl asks the aatma if she'll get married next year and the aatma says yes.(the finger of the person who has asked the question moves across a circular board, to indicate the answer) šµ Next another girl asks if she'll be able to become an interior designer. The aatma says no' and the girl gets upset and scolds the aatma. The others ask her not to scold the aatma. Suddenly the lights start flickering and they assume that the aatma is indeed angry with them.
At that time one guy (Anil) gets a call and goes out. Then 2 others (Mohit and Gautam) go out on the pretext of making calls. After some time the people remaining in the room (2 guys and 2 girls) wonder where the others have gone. The go in search of them and find Mohit and Gautam unconscious in a room. They panic and one guy decides to take them to the hospital. The 3 others (1 guy and 2 girls) go in search of Anil and find him dead in another room with a bleeding head.
CID team members (Daya, Freddie, Kavin and Nikhil) arrive. Daya interrogates them. One of the girls mentions the aatma. Freddie is scared and gets a reprimand from Daya. Nikhil says that the murder weapon is not found anywhere. Daya decides to find out more from Mohit and Gautam who are hospitalised, as they could be knowing something about the attacker.
Scene : Hospital
Daya, Kavin and Nikhil enquire in the reception. The guy there says that Mohit and Gautam were not there any more. Mohit was discharged some time back and Gautam was behaving strangely and escaped from the hospital hysterically shouting woh waapis aa gayi'. The wardboy says that he was violent and running around wildly so couldn't be stopped. Daya asks the wardboy as to who was the nurse attending to Gautam. The wardboy says Shefali'.
Scene: Mohit's house (That's what it's supposed to be, but hey...this is the same as Shreya's house where Abhijeet and Daya came when her engagement stuff was happening )
ACP, Sachin, Freddie and Shreya ring the bell. Mohit's mother opens the door and tells them that Mohit is sleeping in his room and is tired. ACP asks her if she knew where he was before he came home. She says that she's not aware of this. ACP tells her that they are making enquiries about a case and would like to talk to Mohit right away. The lady (Sulakshana) takes them to Mohit's room. CID team knocks the door but there's no response. ACP suspects something wrong and asks Sachin to break open the door. To their shock the find Mohit hanging dead from the fan. Sulakshana faints.
Sulakshana is revived and then ACP asks her if she didn't hear anything when Mohit was committing suicide. She says that she's partially deaf.
ACP asks if anything unusual had happened in the house in the near past. She says that there was a theft and all her jewellery was stolen.
Scene: Hospital
Daya, Kavin and Nik talk to the nurse Shefali about Gautam. She tells CID team that she was supposed to be on duty but she was delayed as her uniform was misplaced and she was searching for it. After half an hour the uniform miraculously returned to its place but it looked as if someone had worn it. CID team wonders who had worn Shefali's uniform and frightened Gautam.
Scene : Mohit's house
CID team searches the house. They wonder if Mohit had committed suicide or was murdered, because there was no suicide note in the room. Shreya finds the stolen jewellery in Mohit's cupboard. Sachin suggests that Mohit had probably stolen the jewellery and Sulakshana gets angry. Shreya asks her to check if all the stolen stuff was there. Sulakshana says that half of the jewellery was missing. ACP suggests that he might have sold it or given it to someone else. (implying Gautam)
Scene : Gautam's House
Abhijeet, Freddie and Pankaj reach Gautam's house but find him missing. They break open the door and search the house. (Pankaj goes to the kitchen and helps himself to a banana, and gets a scolding from Abhijeet for it š)
Freddie finds a photo showing Gautam's friends. There were 7 friends in the party (in scene 1) but the photo shows an extra girl who wasn't present in the party. They wonder who's that girl.
Scene: Tanya's house (Tanya is one of the girls who attended the reunion party)
Tanya is talking to someone on phone when Gautam barges in. He starts messing around with her cupboards and stuff and throws things around. Tanya protests, but Gautam pushes her away and her arm is severely injured.
Scene : Lab
Salunkhe is standing on a stool with a noose around his neck (this is OTT. š¤¢)
ACP arrives. After some drama Salunkhe tells ACP that Mohit was murdered because he was already dead before his body was hung from the fan. Salunkhe explains how the marks on the neck would be formed if a person hung himself from the fan vs how it would be formed if someone else strangled him from behind.
(Wasn't this shown in an earlier episode? Salunkhe had demonstrated this on Abhijeet and there was a little duo moment where Daya sir helped Aditya sir (not Insp Daya and Abhi) take the noose off. Was it Ravindra Khatre's murder?? š³)
ACP says that there could be more than one guy in this conspiracy as it's not easy to lift a guy and hang him to the fan.
Scene : Mohit's house
CID team searches again to see how a murderer could have entered Mohit's room. ACP finds a mark on the French window pane and a stone, as if someone had thrown it from outside and it had hit the window. ACP suggests that hearing the noise, Mohit might have opened the window and the murderer might have entered the room. The murderer was probably known to Mohit.
Freddie enters with a CD which was found outside the entrance. ACP finds lots of scratches on it, as if someone had tried to destroy it. They take it to the bureau.
Scene : Bureau
Kavin enters and says that the CD was being cleaned and the data was being extracted. Shreya tells ACP that the unknown girl in the photo is Riya who was killed a year back and that she and Tanya were roommates.
Scene : Tanya's house
Tanya is upset at how Gautam had behaved. Another guy from the party (Surya ) consoles her, when CID team arrives. Tanya tells CID team about Gautam's behaviour.
ACP asks her about Riya. Surya there says that Riya and Mohit were in love and that Riya was killed by drowning in a lake.
Scene : Bureau
Kavin comes with the cleaned CD. The CD shows Mohit and Riya boating in a lake when Mohit hits Riya and pushes her into the lake. Abhijeet wonders who was the guy shooting this video and not trying to save Riya. He says that the guy shooting the video could have been blackmailing Mohit with it. That might explain why Mohit had stolen his mother's jewellery. The guy who shot the video might have also made a copy of the video and given it to someone who is close to Riya and that person might have killed Mohit for revenge. ACP decides to check the call records of Mohit and Gautam since it might throw some light on any blackmailer's involvement.
Scene : Lakeside in Lonavla
Gautam is seen standing near the lake and looking for someone. A guy wearing a hood and mask calls him and tells him that he knows what had happened. The hooded guy asks Gautam to wear a black mask and come with him.
Scene : Lonavla highway
CID team traces Gautam's number and realise that he's in Lonavla. Daya, Kavin, Shreya and one of the unnamed cops drive towards Lonavla. Daya suggests that Gautam might have been the one who had recorded the video.
Scene : A house in Lonavla.
The hooded guy leads Gautam into a house. Gautam asks him as to where is she'. The hooded guy starts laughing. Gautam says yeh nahi ho sakta'.
CID Innova arrives outside and they enter the house. They find Gautam and Tanya dead inside. There's a gun in Tanya's hand. Shreya shows that Tanya's hand is swollen (due to injury caused by Gautam's pushing) and that it's not possible to shoot with an injured hand. This meant that someone else was trying to show that Tanya had killed Gautam. They wonder who was the third person present there. Since the bodies were still warm Daya concludes that the murderer might have not gone too far. They go out and search and find the hooded man. He starts running away on seeing the CID team. Daya fires in the air and the guy stops. Daya pulls off the mask and it's none other than Surya. Suddenly Riya (the girl who was supposed to be dead) comes there and puts a gun on Shreya's neck asking CID team to let Surya escape. Shreya overpowers her and slaps her. Daya slaps Surya.
Scene : Bureau - confession
Riya says that she wanted to take revenge against Mohit for having tried to kill her. When Mohit tried to kill Riya Surya was present there by chance and he somehow saved Riya's life. ACP asks her why she had killed Mohit, Gautam and Tanya. She says that none of them tried to save her, instead they only wanted to blackmail Mohit and make money. Riya confesses that she was the one who disguised herself as the nurse and frightened Gautam in the hospital. Anil had come to know of their plan in the reunion party, hence they had to kill him as well.
ACP delivers the final phaansi dialogue.
