CID Written Update - 25th Jan 2014: Ahmedabad Mein Daya Faraar - II

Scene 1

The scene continues from where the previous episode left off. As Daya sir approaches Shreya, who's lying on the ground, he's surrounded by a band of armed goondas who arrogantly start to approach. Finding a chance, he draws his gun and swiftly dispatches all of them, and then looks at Shreya.

Scene 2

ACP sir and Abhijeet sir are seen walking with the Gujarat cop Rana and discussing what Daya sir was doing after all. Rana informs them that the biker guy killed by Daya sir was just some theatre actor. He adds that he's found out where the tender is.

Scene 3

In a dark school chemistry lab (?), Daya sir removes the bullet from a shrieking Shreya's wound and tells her to wait in Ashish's house while he tries to contact Abhijeet sir.

Scene 4

At the Astrodiya gate, Daya sir arrives on bike and sees articles about him in the newspapers. He realizes that Pakhiya is trying to frame him, and decides to capture him or his accomplices.

Scene 5

The team arrives at the Nehru Drama Hall and enquire about Sarthak, who used to work there. One of his good friends Jagriv (?) informs them that Sarthak had approached him saying he'd gotten some work and his employer had called him to Kankaria. He was afraid and asked Jagriv to accompany him too, and they met the guy there. Abhijeet sir starts enquiring about that man.

Scene 6

Daya sir is seen forcefully interrogating one of Pakhiya's cronies about his whereabouts. The guy finally divulges that Pakhiya was about to go to the Kite Mahotsav.

Scene 7

At the Kankaria lake, Jagriv leads the team and Ashish to the spot where he's met the man. Looking there, Abhijeet sir construes that perhaps he worked in one of the shops there. Soon the man himself emerges there and is shocked to recognize Ashish, who recognizes him as the dude he was talking to about Pakhiya. The guy bolts like a rabbit and there's a chase scene at the end of which he's fatally shot by an unseen assailant. Before succumbing to death, he blabs something about Daya sir and a kite. ACP sir realizes something.

There's an extended flashback scene of the events of the previous episode concerning Daya sir, until the part where they get the Bat kite.

Scene 8

The team along with Dr. Salunkhe and Dr. Tarika is seen gathered around a table with candles. Dr. Salunkhe asks them all to perform an intriguing chanting ritual after which the lights go off and the Bat kite is lifted up and hovered on top of the candles. They see a sun symbol over a "T" printed above its tail, illuminated by the light. Rana concludes that it is referring to the Modhera Sun Temple. ACP sir says that this message was meant to be delivered to someone via the kite, and they need to get to the Temple at once. Abruptly, Daya sir enters demanding for the Bat kite. Rana threatens him but he explains that he didn't kill those two CID officers.

(Flashback)

In the alley, Daya sir shows his badge to those two officers. They don't believe him and order him to surrender his gun. Daya sir gets a ransom MMS with Shreya's photo and the men ask him to hand over the phone. He manages to distract them and get away.

(Flashback ends)

Rana tells him that those two were not cops but just security guards, and points out that he killed the other guy. Daya sir confidently says that he was not responsible for that. Rana demands why his own teammates were shooting at him then; Abhijeet sir explains that those bullets were fake and he trusted Daya sir all along. Daya sir requests for the Bat kite once again.

Scene 9

Daya sir arrives in a mall with the Bat kite; Pakhiya is seen spying on him and informing somebody about his arrival. Eventually, they meet and Daya sir hands over the kite and demands him to release Shreya as promised. Pakhiya begins hurling vile taunts, causing Daya sir to lose his cool and thrash him black and blue. The battered Pakhiya reminds him that he'll have to do as he says or Shreya will be murdered.

(Query: Bheem rips out Dushasana's arms, right? Not legs. At least get something right...)

Scene 10

The team arrives at the Sun Temple and admires its beauty. ACP sir says that the bag hidden in the Akha Bhagat (?) well must be hidden somewhere there, and instructs them to search for it. They spread out to do the same and eventually Abhijeet sir recovers it from the Temple pond/bath. It turns out to be full of diamonds. Just as he informs ACP sir about it, a band of thugs opens fire at them. The team engages them in a gunbattle and dispatches most of them. Abhijeet sir disarms and captures the leader, who divulges that Pakhiya stole the diamonds from him and hid them there. ACP sir says that he'll be executed for his crimes.

Abhijeet sir goes back to the pond where he had dropped the diamonds in the commotion, and sees Daya sir getting away with the bag. He catches up with him and Daya sir explains that he needs the bag to save Shreya and has to do it alone, for the enemies will kill her if they realize the entire team is after them. Abhijeet sir understands and gives him something unseen to keep, and says he's always there for him. They part on an understanding note.

Scene 11

The team sits together in a restaurant when suddenly ACP sir gets a call from Abhijeet sir, even though the latter is right there with him. Abhijeet sir reveals that it was his phone he had given to Daya sir, and thus it's him calling. ACP sir turns on the loudspeaker and they hear Daya sir telling someone to release Shreya in exchange for the bag of diamonds. The man asks him to meet two hours later at the Sabarmati.

Scene 12

We have some nice light-hearted scenes of the disguised ACP sir, Pankaj, Abhijeet sir and Purvi in traditional outfits as they wait. Daya sir arrives with the bag and goes onto the dock where Pakhiya and his gang are seen in a motorboat with Shreya. He follows them in another boat and Abhijeet sir and Purvi go after him in yet another one. Daya sir meets up with Pakhiya's boat and hands over the bag in exchange for Shreya. Abhijeet sir calls out for them to move away, and he and Purvi engage Pakhiya's gang in a fierce gun-battle across the waters (a very well-shot scene). Unfortunately the miscreants manage to damage their boat and get away.

Scene 12

The team is seen taking care of Shreya and feeding her. ACP sir expresses regret for what she went through but says that it's an occupational hazard of being a CID officer. Shreya says that she overheard the goondas talking and knows that one of them works in some restaurant under the Shivranjani Flyover there.

Scene 13

Our trio is seen positioned around the said restaurant/flyover in wait for the goonda. Eventually, he arrives and they manage to seize him. He says that they kidnapped Shreya because she had witnessed something at the Akha Bhagat well and the said item is going to be taken elsewhere the next day.

Scene 14

The team is seen waiting in concealed positions at the Shri Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium. Eventually Pakhiya arrives and meets a heavily scarf-wrapped janitor there, and after talking realizes that he is his boss who summoned him there. The boss asks him for his bag, and then without warning shoots him dead and starts making his getaway. The cops chase and manage to capture him; he turns out to be none other than Ashish. Daya sir hands him a tight SLAP (tm). Ashish confesses that his henchmen had stolen the diamonds and hidden them from the police patrols in the Akha Bhagat well. Shreya's grandfather witnessed them doing this and thus they kidnapped her, realizing too late that she's a CID officer. When Daya sir began chasing them, they framed him via Pakhiya fooling the unfortunate Sarthak into thinking the bike chase was a film shoot and got him to switch places with him. He then went on to kill those fake CID officers as well after Daya sir had gotten away. ACP sir says he'll surely be hanged for his crimes.

Rana asks Daya sir how he trusted such a lowlife; Daya sir says that sometimes one needs to risk it and trust because uncontrolled skepticism can be bad. Abhijeet sir points out the example of ACP sir trusting Chitrole and when the latter objects, clarifies: main toh philosophy jhaad raha hoon. 😆

Note - I didn't really pay attention to the story in Part 1 and also watched much of this one in fast-forward mode. Please let me know if there are any errors.
