Scene: Street

A man runs with a baby in one hand and a knife in the other hand. Some people try to stop him, but he threatens them with the knife and runs away. One man calls CID.

CID vehicle arrives. Daya (with a clean shaven head), Sachin and Purvi make enquiries. One lady shows Daya a photo of the man and baby she had managed to click. She sends it to Daya's phone through Bluetooth.

CID team goes in the direction in which the man had run with the baby and ask people if they had seen the man. Everyone denies having seen him. After some time, they find a crowd gathered around a dead body near a garbage dump. They find that it is none other than the man who had come running with the baby. There is no sign of the baby.

Daya decides to publish the dead man's photo in leading newspapers and check if anyone had filed a missing report for the baby.

Scene: Bureau

Abhijeet dials a number and suddenly hears the other phone ringing just behind him. It's none other than Daya 😊

Abhijeet asks if any missing report of the baby was filed. Daya says that there is no missing report. Purvi checks the criminal records and says that there was no information on the dead man.

Abhijeet is surprised that the baby's parents had not filed a report. Daya suggests that the dead man was probably related to the baby, and hence the parents might have thought that the baby is safe.

Freddie comes in with a man Ronit who claims to be the dead man's friend. Ronit says that the dead man was Puneet who worked in a BPO at night. He also did something during the day but never revealed it to his friends. Ronit says that Puneet was single, so the baby was not his own. Puneet also didn't have any relations in the city, hence the baby couldn't be related to him.

Abhijeet asks for Puneet's address.

Scene: Puneet's house

Rajat and Nikhil enter and search Puneet's house. Rajat enters the study and finds Puneet's business card which showed that he was a private detective. Rajat checks the computer and finds pictures of the missing baby and his parents. He checks the drawer and finds a diary where Puneet had noted down information on day to day activities of the baby and his parents Jagan and Nalini. Rajat checks the last entry which shows that Nalini had visited Dr Kiran, a child specialist. Rajat decides to ask the doctor.

Scene: Dr Kiran's clinic

Dr Kiran recognises the baby Sonu who had a vaccination the previous day. She also tells CID team that Sonu was suffering from an allergy which required him to have an injection once in 48 hours, otherwise he would suffer from breathing difficulty. The next shot was due the next day morning. Rajat adks for Sonu's address.

Scene: Sonu's house

Abhijeet, Rajat, Nikhil and Purvi find that Nalini and Jagan are not available. The servant calls 'madam' who is Nalini's sister Divya.

She says that Jagan, Nalini and the baby Sonu were on a vacation in Mahabaleshwar.

Abhijeet shows the picture of Puneet carrying Sonu to her and asks her why Sonu was with this man. Divya blatantly lies and says that the baby in the picture is not Sonu and she doesn't know the man in the photo. She asks the CID team to leave as she is busy. Abhijeet doesn't seem convinced and asks the others to search the house and see if Jagan and Nalini are really not there.

Rajat, Purvi and Nikhil search and report that there is no one in the house. Abhijeet asks Divya to give the number of the car in which Jagan and Nalini had gone to Mahabaleshwar. She gives it. Abhijeet asks Nikhil to find the car's whereabouts.

Divya asks CID team to leave. Abhijeet gives her a menacing look and tells her that he's leaving now but he'll be back soon.

After coming out of the house CID team discuss about how Divya was blatantly lying and decide to keep an eye on her 24 hours and see what she was talking and to whom. Nikhil asks how this could be done. Abhijeet says that it is possible. 😛

Soon, a Tamilian telephone operator with bushy, overgrown hair, big moustache and chandan smeared on his forehead rings the doorbell of the baby Sonu's house.Divya opens the door. The phone operator who is none other than Abhijeet in disguise in an exaggerated mix of accented Hindi and Tamil tells her that he's there to repair a fault in the landline phone. Divya tells him that her phone was working perfectly, but he insists that the phone is faulty and barges in. He asks 'phone enge irukku' in flawless Tamil. 😛 He pretends to repair the phone and inserts a bug into it, talking non stop in half Tamil and half Hindi, much to Divya's irritation.

He goes out to a place at a distance from the house where Nikhil and Rajat were waiting with receivers. Rajat gets a call from his informer that there's no information on the baby. Abhijeet gets worried because the baby was due for his injection.

After some time Divya receives a call and CID team listens. A man threatens to kill Sonu if she revealed anything to CID. Purvi watches from outside Divya's window.

Abhijeet asks Rajat to find from where the call had come.

Nikhil traces the phone and finds that it is travelling. CID team finds that the phone is in a taxi which was ahead of them. Rajat overtakes the taxi and stops in front of it. The taxi driver denies that the number from which the threatening call was from him. Nikhil dials the number and they hear the phone ringing from the passengers' seat at the back. The driver says that his previous passenger might have forgotten it. Abhijeet asks the taxi driver to take them to the place where the passenger had got off.

Abhijeet, Nikhil and Rajat look around for some time and then hear the cry of a baby. They follow the sound of the baby's cries. and reach a house. Nikhil finds the back door open. He enters and opens the front door for Abhijeet and Rajat. They hear the baby crying in an inner room. They enter and find 2 men dead on the floor and the baby Sonu on the bed. Abhijeet picks up Sonu. He asks Nikhil to bring the taxi driver in and asks Rajat to take Sonu to the hospital and give him the injection.

The taxi driver comes in and recognises one of the dead men as his previous passenger.

Scene : Bureau

Purvi plays with Sonu. Sonu seems happy with her. Divya comes in and hugs Sonu.

ACP tells Divya that Sonu's life is in danger so it is advisable to keep him in the bureau. Divya says that she's worried about her sister and brother-in-law.

Freddie comes in and says that Jagan and Nalini had not reached the hotel in Mahabaleshwar where they had made their booking. They had made a cash withdrawal from an ATM in S V Road.

Scene : A Parking lot

The security man talks to another security man about a car which had been parked since the previous morning. They sense something fishy and decide to inform the police. CID team(Abhijeet, Rajat, Purvi and Pankaj) soon arrive there.

Rajat finds Nalini in the boot of the car, unconscious. Pankaj calls an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Abhijeet asks the security man as to who had brought the car. The security man says that one man had brought the car, alone. Abhijeet wonders where Jagan had vanished alone.

Rajat tries calling Divya on her landline and mobile, but there's no response. CID team decides to go and check if Divya is ok.

Scene : Divya's (or Sonu's or Jagan and Nalini's) house

Rajat, Purvi and Nikhil break in and find the house in a mess. The servant is injured and lying on the floor. Divya is missing. Purvi dials Divya's phone. The ringtone is heard within the house. Purvi finds the phone under a cupboard.

Purvi checks the call record and finds that the last person to call Divya was Jagan.

Rajat says that Jagan's phone has to be traced.

Scene : A building under construction

A white car comes to a halt. Jagan picks up an unconscious Divya and carries her up, where man was waiting with a couple of goons. Jagan says that he had brought Divya as told and requests the man to return his son Sonu back to him.

The unknown man laughs and tells Jagan that when Divya regains consciousness he would clear all misunderstandings. He takes out a gun and points it at Jagan, saying that Jagan was the cause of his separation from his wife Divya. Jagan admits his guilt and asks the man to forgive him and return his son back.

Divya regains consciousness and is surprised to see the man with the gun. He's none other than Ronit (the man who had earlier come to the bureau as the detective Puneet's friend). Ronit tells Divya that he did this because wanted to prove his innocence. There was a fraud of 14 lakh rupees of which Ronit was accused. But Ronit was not the culprit. Jagan had framed him. Ronit was also accused of harassing some women in the company. Even this was Jagan's doing. Divya asks Jagan if this was true. Jagan flatly denies it and tells Divya that Ronit is trying to make him confess by kidnapping Sonu. An argument breaks out. Ronit pushes Jagan and is about to shoot at him when CID team (Abhijeet, Rajat, Pankaj and Shreya) arrive. Abhieet shoots the gun away from Ronit's hand. Abhijeet slaps Ronit for kidnapping a baby.

Scene : Bureau

Jagan and Ronit are in the confession chair. Jagan admits that all the offences were committed by him and he had framed Ronit.

Ronit says that he wanted to clear his and have revenge against Jagan, so he had appointed the detective Puneet to keep an eye on Jagan and Nalini's whereabouts.

He came to know that Jagan and Nalini were going to Mahabaleshwar. When Jagan got off the car to go to the ATM, Ronit hit Nalini on the head and rendered her unconscious. When Jagan returned, he pointed a gun at Jagan and forced him to take the car to a lonely spot. There he tried to kidnap Sonu. The detective Puneet who was following them stealthily arrived on the scene and tried to stop Ronit from kidnapping Sonu, saying that he was keeping an eye on Jagan's family as per their deal, but not for causing harm to a baby.Jagan saw his chance and asked Puneet to help. Puneet grabbed Sonu and ran away. After Puneet escaped, Ronit got his chance and asked his goons to follow Puneet and kill him., because Puneet had come to know of his misdeeds.

He kidnapped Sonu and kept him under the custody of the goons so that he could use Sonu to make Jagan confess.

He saw CID team coming towards the house, so he killed his own goons and escaped.

Jagan didn't know that Sonu was already rescued, so he agreed to bring Divya to him.

ACP tells Ronit that he would get phaansi for kidnapping a baby and murdering 3 people.
