Hmm...i agree to some extent,... but again as i said what you define as a 'friend' makes the difference...(hope you don't consider people listed in friends list to behave as best friends😛) if they are really a friend and both know each other... and if the friend in trouble is ready to share then.. yes i am sure the other friend will listen...

and.. i say from experience very much here on IF... i am sure many people here have experienced it...
