He is going to give tough competition to Nik !! He has played the role of an inspector in the show "Gunahon ka Devta".. and he has played some small negative roles in shows like "Chhoti bahu" and all I suppose !

I am waiting to see Vikas Kumar as CID cop. He looks cool as a cop, have seen him leading the team, but now he will have some seniors (i hope) ! Lets see how he gels with the team

What a nightmare CID has become :( I doubt I will be able to survive this Tri-Weekly thing. I kind of survived Twice-Week but they have gone way too far now. Poor Vivek still did not get anything centered around him yet and they keep flooding the team with new faces. How about giving opportunities to under utilized officers for a change.

Seeing Aditya Srivastava in worthy movies looks like a distant unfulfilled dream. Such a class apart actor totally wasted but then no intelligent person will let go of his regular income. In the times when Irfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, even Manoj Bajpai (after wassepur) are making their presence felt, doing some great work. I really miss Aditya, the actor. Now is the time when his kind of films are working but he has no time to participate in them. Such a waste of talent :(

Vikas Kumar is the only new entrant I'm looking forward to see. Loved his no-nonsense persona in KS and I certainly think they could do with some of that in here (hopeless hope, I know). Who knows, there might be something good coming out of this after all.

Pata nahin...the entire essence of CID is lost...even if the best actor in the world comes in, I don't want him.

A closely knit team enjoying little convos and having fun while investigating is what I love...not these serious faces and 15 people working on one case.

It's crap...it's not what I used to see earlier. Anyway...it's a crime show and I get to see some actors whom I admire...as they are not to be seen anywhere else, so I am hanging on.

since long i have been getting irritated with this tri weekly stuff

but when i thought with cool mind...i realised we can only express our feelings here and cannot do anything but accept it...so im taking this tri weekly as positive and going with the flow

but...that model like fellow doesnt suit me...KS guy and jahnvi are good...jahnvi did a gr8 job as airforce officer in choona hai aasman...so i feel she will do good as cop

Sony banks on its crime shows; extends CID & Crime Patrol to Sundays

Starting today, fresh episodes of CID and Crime Patrol will be telecast only three days in a week

The Hindi general entertainment channels are becoming bullish on their weekend programming. In a recent announcement, Sony Entertainment Television has extended its top-rated crime shows, CID and Crime Patrol, to Sundays. Starting today, fresh episodes of CID and Crime Patrol will be telecast three days in a week – Friday to Sunday. Earlier, both the shows were being telecast on Fridays and Saturdays.

CID and Crime Patrol may have direct competition with Zee TV's new television series, Fear Files, based on paranormal forces that is launching tomorrow and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10.30 PM.

CID and Crime Patrol have been the weekend chart toppers delivering more than 3 TVRs and contributing at least 10 GRPs per episode for the channel. With their extension on Sundays, these shows are expected to add more eyeballs for Sony.

Along with Kaun Banega Crorepati in October 2011, CID and Crime Patrol contributed a lot to establish Sony as the No. 2 Hindi GEC. Even after KBC, Sony remained the second most watched channel for a long time on the back of its refreshed fiction shows and top scoring crime shows. However, for the past few weeks, the channel has been facing stiff competition from Zee TV and Colors at No. 2, and in the last four weeks in a row, it has been displaced from No. 2. Last week, the channel recorded 201 GRPs.

Sony is aiming to strengthen its position once again with this move and is expected to touch new heights once the new season of KBC hits the screen. Auditions for KBC are already underway; however, Sony has not announced the launch date of the show.
