1. What is that one thing which excites you the most about IF?
Most members here are very respectful, tolerant and fun-loving, great to be with and chat to. The moderators are cool and as such the place generally has a very healthy atmosphere, in addition to lots of cool articles, videos and unofficial tidbits. I've found some really dear friends on here.
2. What is the one thing which you would like to change about IF?
I'd love to see a proper mobile-friendly version developed, first of all. Browsing the site on handheld devices is quite a chore.
3. What is your advice to Ekta Kapoor about taking 20 year leaps every month?
I'm afraid I didn't get what you meant by 20 year leaps. But I'm totally indifferent to her, so I hardly care about what she does or doesn't. 😆
4. Which is your favourite food? Why?
Just about any paneer dish. It's much healthier than other party stuffs and tastes like manna from the heavens for me. Bon appetit! 😛
5. Which is your favourite holiday spot? Why?
Haven't been on a lot of holidays myself, but I'd love to visit Kashmir or Manali someday.
6. Who is your all-time favourite on-screen Hindi film couple? Why?
I'm not really enthusiastic about Bolly films, especially the romantic ones. Can't think of any couple.
7. Which is your all-time favourite Hindi song? Why?
Ghanan Ghanan from Lagaan. It's so brimming with energy, optimism and hope, never fails to cheer me up. Not to mention Rahman sir is one of my all-time favourite composers and an inspiration.
8. Which is your all-time favourite English song? Why?
The Circle Of Life from The Lion King. Childhood nostaliga + Carmen Twillie's wonderful performance + Mark Mancina and Hans Zimmer's majestic arrangements + the beautiful, thought-provoking lyrics + the sheer awesomeness of the scene it accompanies in the film = a real winner for me.
9. Who is your favourite singer?
I listen to instrumental/orchestral music mostly, with my top favourite composers being Hans Zimmer and John Williams. But if I've got to name a singer, I'll go with Shreya Ghoshal.
10. What is your favourite beverage? Why?
Orange juice. Tasty bhi, healthy bhi! 😛
11. What is your favourite soft drink? Why?
I gave up on soft drinks long ago. But to answer the question, I'll go with Sprite.
12. Do you believe in astrology? If yes, then why, and if no, then why not?
No and yes; I'll expand. To put it mildly, I think 99.9% of all the astrology/palmistry/tarot-card reading/whatever shown on TV channels every morning is utter brachiosaurus crap, and the majority of the astrologers/prophets/seers etc. are frauds with a capital F. I'd have answered no to the question, but I've experienced certain predictions (or so they're supposed to be) calling whom a coincidences or phony tales feels like quite a stretch.
At the same time, it's important to remember that astrology finds no support whatsoever in modern science, and many such predictions have been periodically debunked. I'm very anti-superstition and do not like to believe anything without sufficient evidence or personal investigation. I've searched around online for arguments both for and against astrology and at this point feel that there's possibly some truth in it, but it's likely a phenomenon much beyond our current understanding (just my thoughts). But regardless of its validity, I think one should concentrate on the present and work to achieve our goals without worrying about the stars. Remember Lord Krishna's famous verse from the Gita.
13. What is your greatest phobia? Why?
Let's say my boggart would take the same form as Mrs. Weasley's. I got chills when I first read that part in the book.
14. Which is your most favourite festival? Why?
I was on the verge of saying Diwali, but I'll go with Ganesh Chaturthi now because of the absence of fireworks. 😆 Also because I venerate Lord Ganesha and love that puja in general.
15. Describe a typical day of your life.
Wake up, check my mobile, get washed and ready, browse my regular list of sites, get busy with college stuff, hang around with friends, lunch/dinner etc, retire into my little room, second round of browsing, gaming or music before bed. What fun! 😛 😆
16. Describe your childhood in 100 words.
Seeing what so many poor children in our country live like, I'm extremely grateful that mine was very enjoyable in comparison, thanks to my dear parents. I've got a massive collection of (well-preserved) toys that'd make quite a lot of jaws drop. I also got my first computer a bit earlier than other classmates and it came in very handy with studies too. I was a bit of a recluse in school initially and got bullied a bit, but that was rectified later. I met a lot of wonderful people who influenced me a lot. All in all, great!
17. Describe yourself in 500 words.
Yaar, there isn't much to describe! 😆 I haven't even filled the "About Me" field in my Facebook profile yet for the same reason. I'm just another guy out there who tries to live life to the fullest, meet and make new friends and strengthen ties with old ones, try to use my God-given capabilities to their fullest and be a little of the change I want to see in the world. I consider my day made if I managed to bring a smile upon somebody's face, especially someone who truly needed it. I'm a humanist and believe in compassion and love towards everyone. Sorry, bas isse zyada nahin likh paaunga. 😆
18. Which is your favourite scene from CID?
Too many to list, but I'll go with the opening scene of "The Case Of The Unknown Body", where ACP sir returns to the bureau with his restored eyesight and is greeted by the team.
19. Which kind of scene/track would you like to see in CID in the future episodes?
A realistic thriller featuring involvement of politicians and authorities, with the team facing immense odds and using a combination of both brawn and brains to solve a thought-provoking mystery and defeat a genuinely formidable antagonist. Most of all, I'd want the characterization to be given special attention and care.
20. Which is your most irritating scene/moment from CID?
The list is waaay too long. For now, I think the forensic scene from "Maut Ka Aashirwaad" takes the trophy. 🤢
