Mom had to go to Royal Plaza hotel (previosuly known as Ramada Plaza) .. for a conference .. and got some stuff .. I saw the notepad .. the name and said "OMG that's where my cid team stayed when they came to delhi .." :P :P

Ricky Ponting announced retirement from ODIs ..
He's indeed been a gem of a player !! A very classy and an excellent player .. someone who's playing style I've admired !! Will miss seeing him play !!

Yeah! Second highest run scorer in ODIs... His poor performance in the Commonwealth Bank Series cost him his place in the side and then 2 days after he announced his retirement in a press conference! He has said that he would continue playing tests! He is third highest run scorer in tests if I am not wrong and has scored over 40 centuries in tests... Only Sachin Tendulkar is ahead of him now. With 51 centuries!

Hello Everyone. Its very long time. I am very much occupied by work.

Ah will miss Ricky Ponting in international ODI. Loved his fielding but I am little happy his main focus is Ashes he should focus on tests only.

@Akshay and Bhavana he didn't retire he was dropped and in press conference he said -"I don't expect to play ODIs any more and I'm pretty sure the selectors won't pick me either. We all know that day (retirement) is coming closer and closer to me but I just love the game and I love every opportunity I get to play and represent my country". He has officially not retired. On Saturday he is playing Ryobi oneday ODI (final) 😊

When I saw the news of Ponting, I remembered Sunny and had a gut feeling Sunny would come to this thread by tonight and post a tribute. 😉

I waked up at 5:30 AM for his press conference as speculations were he will retire from tests also. Saturday 8:45 AM I will watch Tasmania versus South Australia 😛

Everyone here know Sunny knows fixture of Australia. At which time match will start, when is match etc etc and waking up at odd hours is common. Whenever match is in Australia (leaving Perth matches) I wake up at 5:30 AM and when matches are in New Zealand wake up at 3:30 AM, when in West Indies match start around 10 PM and had to wake all night. Now I have to keep record of Australian domestic and international Tests only 😛.
