Watched Locker No. 42. The episode starts with a very tense climatic scene. If that opening scene were to be shown in today's times, it would be something like this:

Duo: Sir, lagta hain bomb jaisa kuch hain
ACP: Hmmm...
Sachin: Sir, Dr. Salunkhe ko dikhate hain.

There was so much professionalism back in the day. The team tried to figure things out by themselves before turning to forensics. And nowadays, they would not even go in depth with the nature of the bomb, they would never use terms like 'anthrax', but would just call the 'bomb' a bomb.

And of course a lot of duo scenes!😃 The ending of the first part ended very chaotically.😲 Showed Daya Sir in the air, and Abhijit Sir getting shot in the arm by that guy But I liked that particular scene hats off to the cinematographer for that! The cinematography back then was top class too, wonder why it is so bad nowadays? What I found rather flaw-ish about this case was the beginning of the second half, when ACP declares that they will look for this Soham by inquiring on the highway petrol pumps. I think it would've been logical to ask the person who was caught to make a sketch of Soham and then inquire at the petrol pumps, would've made it much more easier. But anyways, guess they wanted it the hard way😛 The following scene was very realistic and impressive. If that scene was remade in the present, it would be something like this:

ACP: Tumhe yaad hain koi Soham aaya tha Fiat gaadi mein.
The petrol pump guy: Hain, hain, yaad hain...

The people are shown to have miraculous abilities to remember ordinary events from even a month ago. This wasn't the case in the yesteryears.

The last scene was the best! The chain of people putting guns on the other! And as always, ACP Sir prevails!😃 Very very nice case👏 No forensics involved, only pure investigation.

PS: Can anyone guess in which episode was the Rainbow Hotel room seen before?(very famous case)😉

i like that scene too, in those days ACP Pradyuman was the one who ended the showdown at most times thus, justifying his being the leader, but now, sadly, he is confined to shouting unnecessarily and delivering repetitive dialogues....total blundering up of a prolific character

Well....I had to clear last week's backlog before starting off this week. So I watched Blackmailing Witness today.
What struck me was how 'real' everything looked. ACP Pradyuman taking a pair of compasses and drawing a circle, then zeroing upon an Ambassador which is dark coloured and not a tourist vehicle etc and finally reaching Pavan Malhotra's house was excellent. They used their brains to track the car and didn't get clues out of the air like they do now.
If the same case were shown now, it would be like this...one chai wala would have seen a car hitting the woman and speeding away. In that split second in the darkness he would have noticed the driver's face and would have made a perfect sketch. Kajal would have scanned the entire Mumbai vehicle owners' list for the photo and found the guy along with his address and car registration number. CId team would have landed at his house, Daya would have slapped the guy and ACP would have given the phaansi dialogue.
I loved the way the case was handled....ACP was a calm, composed, thinking leader. Overall enjoyed it.👏

i agree Vis .... well said !!! well if something that has horribly changed in CID ... even more than stories ..... is our ACP sir ...... I miss that ACP Sir even more than our duo !!!! That calm and composed ACP sir was such a pleasure to watch !!! The pleasant feeling and the calmness that his presence would give to ones mind is something I horribly miss !!! Now ACP sir shouts at the top of his voice !!! Not only is the character's charm falling ... even it's affecting Satam sir adversely !!! Hoping to see my ACP sir again !!!!

The grey haired ACP I always prefer and liked more than today's one !!!

Sorry every one I wrote this as I watched it so dont mind if it is in the present tense and seems a bit disjointed

Watching Locker No-42

As the scenes are progressing I can faintly remember watching this one. Maybe the memory comes from long back.

First thing which has struck me is, they used to be so methodical in those days. Going into minute details, Little bit scary though Abhijeet getting an envelop.

Daya sir staring at the lockers openmouthed as if some demon will pop out of it , its so funny😆

Much more methodical investigation than we can see now. Every scene is looking necessary. No rubbish anywhere, No unnecessary forensic too. In those days they used forensic only when needed.

Bobbay Puna highway being shown . They are crossing such a pretty place but no unnecessary reference to it. No lonawalla Darshan

ACP sire more actively participating in the investigation. He behaved like a true leader in those days.

A bit of a coincident ti find the phone number written on the wall, but chalo theek hai

Oh Abhi sir in a yellow shirt!! Looking nice.
Oh dear Abhi sir getting shot.

Yes I agree with Deb the cinematography was very accurate in those days. Though now the technologies have improved I cant understand why there is a deterioration in the cinematography,

What I liked about this scene also is that they made it short. If it was today, they would have put him in the hospital room and made us very very emotional. And they would have cut short on the petrol pump scene. One photo and the person would have revealed his janamkundally

HeeHee!!! Why are all of them running towards the restaurant, cant they find a rik in lonawalla
I am not finding faults with an old episode guys but I found that a bit strange

I dont like to see an injured Abhijeet.

One dialogue worth repeating.......

Daya: Agar Soham mar chuka hai, to uski laash kahan hai?

Abhijeet: Ho sakta hai khooni ne laash jala di ya phir gaad di yaa khai main phenk di hogi!!!!

So many drop your guns going on here.Daya sir looking good in a french beard. I mean he is looking cute.

ACP sir savimg both Abhi and Daya. I liked that scene.

I also liked the way Asha hurredly picked up the guns

Melodramatic crane scene going on here

All in all a good episode. A bit of melodrama and coincidences but yed I enjoyed it

PS: Deb I dont know in which case this hotel room had come. You tell na please

Watching unknown body

Now this is called a team👏

The case starts on an emotional note . The dialogue goes like this

Everyone: Welcome back sir

ACP: With a sigh and tears in his eyes, Mujhe laga tha ki jab meri aankhen theek hogi to log kuch badle huye dikhenge , par sab kuch vaisa hi hai , bache bhi nahin badle. So sweet

Abhijeet: Aap bhi nahin badle sitr

Salunkhe: Aisa kaise ho sakta hai jab ACP Praduman nahin badal sakta to ham kaise badal sakte hain.
ACP smiles says Salunkhe!!! and wipes his tears

I wish people were like that in real life too.
