Most of the serials do not stay true to the core issue they begin with
2. The way violence is shown in ordinary life I wonder when I don't see it around me and see happy faces always.
3. Most serials are forgetting that the little human emotions portray great stories. everyone is either complete evil or saccharine sweet.

I don't like the manner in which most serials portray women - as heavy jewellery clad vamps plotting against each other and stupid chocolate boys romancing silly girls with bollywood songs in the background.
Even an NK story becomes tolerable in comparision to these serials. At least we have our duo to admire.

Todays shows do not stick to the theme.
I dont like the way they show women
I dont like the vamps in household stuff. no one's house is like that
Women are shown forever scheming
The good people are allways the sufferers
Oh I can go on and on

i don't like the current state too. many of the serials tries to create extreme drama instead of turning to reality. There are only very few soaps from which we can learn anything.

Most of the times rona-dhonas & other 🤢🤢🤢 are shown so much........😡😡😡😡😡

people are forgetting to be realistic. competition for TRP is slowly destroying the things.

reality shows sometimes do not turn out much fruitful. i'm of course not against them, but sometimes they do not make senses.

I hope we all will get out of this situation soon.

Yup! Women are one big problem. One side they are showing one woman very pious, innocent (I wonder in real life such people are very rare, cos your respect to religion doesn't need to be shown like this. That's prevailing only in you). And also, those innocent heroins don't fear to sacrifice their lives for any person.....Does it happen often in our life, like it happens in serials almost everyday?

And on another side, they show a villain type girl, who wants to kill every so called good persons and sometimes they even kill. Are women so violent?

NO. m not happy about it coz most of the times, showz are dubbed from English channels (Paanchvi Pass, Dus Ka Dum, Crorepati, Zorr ka Jhatka etc.) Otherwise, I think That the soap stories should be something apart from family dramas, n such showz are developing now. Cant tell much about anything except Thriller n horror showz 😉

I dont hav any complaints against news channels. Only Aajtak Should reduce the commercials... 😳

I think the golden era of TV in general was back in the 90's. The last reminents of quality TV was in the early 00's(barring CID of course). From then on, TV has becoming nothing but a money-making industry, with no consideration about for quality entertainment for viewers at all. These so called youth shows are so terrible, it makes the youth look like some kind of immature teenagers flirting around, not giving a damn about studies. Basically, they don't look into the depth of life in general, I mean, there's more to life than flirting around with guys/girls. And the content nowadays is ridiculous and unrealistic! The common man cannot relate to it at all! Either the stories are in the backdrop of a really poor society or very rich one! I mean, the thought of it is nice, but firstly they should have a solid script to back it up, and secondly they should have proper characterization. Every soap has a bitchy character to add some 'masala'. And the poor audience has been forced to tolerate such crap, and the mind has gradually adjusted to such crap, now most people consider this as 'normal'. Soaps from the 90's though, were more realistic, much more relatable, with solid characterization to go with them. There was no such arrogance or an OTT sensation one feels the moment one sees a particular scene.I wish I was much older in the 90's, so I could catch hold of some of the other wonderful shows some of the other older members here have experience, but alas😔 I Anyways, I don't enjoy watching soaps anyways, because according to me, you can learn something from everywhere, even if it is the 'idiot box'. Anyways, I most particularly enjoy watching thrillers, and horror shows, and therefore, nowadays keep a tab on what thriller/horror show comes where. Even in this dull trend in Indian TV, there have been some noteworthy thrillers, but unfortunately they were discontinued due to lack of interest in thrillers. I however, enjoyed them thoroughly. I also watch singing/dance reality shows once in a while, and watch DID nowadays. Quite enjoyable, although the usual ritual of rigging comes into play. But such shows are for pure entertainment, nothing more nothing less.

Anyways, there have been a lot of brilliant thrillers during this dull time too, and I hope people finally realize the facade they are living in. Fortunately, there are such enterprises such as YRF that help in this step. The timings of such shows don't help though. But they are quite well-made, and even the soaps are technically 'soaps', they don't have that gimmick and OTT feelings in them, they are straight to the point and realistic. Such shows and more are needed to bring back the 90's of TV.

The Television industry has became the most bizzare world in this earth. Its scarier than Horror, Hilarious than Comedy and Emotional than feelings. Normally, now-a-days any serial or show starts with a motive to achieve. But after passing 2 or 3 month, its starting to go off the track. Sometimes it goes with a side track fully. Long term shows are very hard to run long.
I would say the golden times of television was then, when DD was telecasting all the fantastic shows like Buniad, Gul-Gulshan-Gulfam, Humlog , Flop-show, Dekh Bhai Dekh and all these. These stories went for long time but didn't lost their charm a bit. In fact, people were so eager and curious to watch those shows. They are pretty much popular till now. And they can beat any show of todays with so ease.
