finally,i managed to watch "kaalo" completely...what can i say, i am so joyous and satiated that words are not enough to express it. Before, i appreciate the man for whom i watched this movie,i must say one thing abhijeet satam is a very fine actor, a chip off the old block i.e. Shivaji Satam sir.
Now, talking about aditya sir aka sameer, he completely swept me off my feet with his performance and swini khara was so sweet,i had liked her in "Cheenikum" and simply loved her in "Kaalo" too. The first scene where aditya sir is seen walking on the dusty and deserted road left me mesmerised,he was looking so dashing that i found myself saying,"Is he any lesser than our bollywood stalwarts...." His first meeting with shona was very cute, her calling him "aakdu uncle" and his calling her "jhansi ki rani" later when her knitting needles accidently poked him made my face light up with a wide smile. When the bus's tyre got punctured and all the passengers clambered out, they found a ditch in the midst of the road.Shona was saved from falling into the ditch by sameer when she was trying to get hold of a toy "windmill" stuck at the mouth of the ditch...after that she thanked him and he simply grunted, this showed that though he had begun to warm up to her but because of being of a somewhat introvert disposition was finding it a bit awkward in displaying the softer side of his nature.
When "kaalo" first put in an appearence ,.i just loved the protective way in which sameer holds the girl and keeps all the selfish fellow passengers at bay who wanted to throw "shona" out of the bus so that "kaalo-the desert witch" could devour her... the intensity in the man's eyes really overwhelmed me.
I will not go into any more details or i wont be able to stop😆 ...coming to the last scene, when shona realised that sameer had used up all the dynamite in killing kaalo which actually he had brought with the intention of digging a well in his water-starved village, i loved the way in which shona said,"TOH AB AAP KYA KAROGE AKDU UNCLE".....to which sameer said,"KUCH TOH KARNA PARHEGA.....TUMSE KUWA KHUDWAUNGA..."it was so natural and sweet.
all in all, i really enjoyed the movie although "kaalo" failed to scare me.😉
