1) What is your view on the topic ?? Is celebrating a festival on an investigation show like CID a good idea ?? Which according to you is the best part of celebration of a festival on CID ??

View on topic - it is a light topic, not really the best for a debate/group discussion. I don't know whether it will draw many participants. Have to see.

Celebrating a festival on CID - it is not necessary. We have all those soaps celebrating them, so I wouldn't want an entire episode dedicated to showing our cops burning crackers. But as they showed this week, a scene showing our duo in some lovely silk kurtas for a change is nice. ;-)

The best part of the celebration - our trio smiling!!! Our duo in lovely clothes. (Though Daya and ACP could have worn something better...Abhijeet was looking toooooo good)

For me they are like family and I do want to see them in a casual mood once in a while...it's just a personal wish.

2) Which is your favourite episode till now that involved a festival ?? (It need not be that the case was based on festival)

Of course Khoon ki Holi. Can there be anything better than this?😃😃😃

3)Which festival would you like to celebrated in the future ?? How and why ?
Even if they celebrate a festival, there has to be a gripping story. They shouldn't make an episode, just to celebrate a festival. First comes the plot and then the festival.

4) Do you feel just for the sake of showing a festival special cases should not be made ??

Yeah....the episode can be centred around the festival, but focus should be on the case and not the festival.

I would change last year's Diwali special to stop 4 khoons from happening right under our cops' noses. If I try answering in more detail, I'll have to write a full story. Maybe if I get some time, I'll try it.

My view on topic is its good topic according to situation. I don't mind till I get feeling that I am watching CID. That doesn't mean to celebrate each and every festival. If they have good story or any strong message.

Best part of celebrating festival in CID is message (which I try to find) , good moments between team.

No doubt Khoon ki Holi, Khoon Bhari Holi was also good.

3)Which festival would you like to celebrated in the future ?? How and why ?

Any festival will be good with strong story. In future I would love that they celebrate some local festival of any region. I mean India is vast country with each place having one festival or other which is celebrated at large scale but that doesn't mean make an episode in which they just show chase sequence only.

4) Do you feel just for the sake of showing a festival special cases should not be made ??

If its just for sake of showing festival when they don't have story then its NO from me. But yes with good story, I am not saying super story but atleast with good story they should show festival somehow it gives feel yes they live in this society in this world (although CID actually its virtual world)

This question is short but demands quite alot. hmmm If I have to change I will change last years Diwali epsiode because every thing was going fine but for me it was not digestible that old couple did all that and that too very smartly making CDs in presence of CID.

and to make changes in that part story will be quite changed and virtually its like writing another story which require time.😉

The topic is quite in accordance with the episodes this week.

Yes i think celebrating festivals on CID is a good idea as long as the essence of the show is kept as a crime investigation show, and the story is strong.
Best part of celebrating festival in CID is a special case with some sweet moments of the team.

Khoon ki holi was a brilliant case.

I would like the team to celebrate any festival, if the story is good and the case is solved intelligently and we get some good team moments which are not unnecessarily dragged to fill the space created by lack of logic to the case.

I love special cases when they are worth being called special, so if they dont have proper story, just for the sake of celebrating a festival, special cases should not be made, just like special cases should not be made for promotions, if no proper story is available(reference Once upon a time in Mumbai)

I dont really remember many festival special episodes. Out of those i remember watching, i would like to add in khoon bhari holi a bit, just in the end i would atleast mention where did that little girl end up(if i remember correctly, there was no mention of that)? Otherwise i guess they were fine

Well the topic is definitely light. Sometimes it's good to have a discussion on a light topic for a change. It's also appropriate for this festive season.

In India festivals are part of our life. In Bengali there is an adage "baro mashe tero parban" ie, thirteen festivals in twelve months. So in most of the Indian serials we watch our main festivals being celebrated. But for any serial the main thing is not the celebration but the plot. Same is true for CID. I don't mind watching celebration if the plot is good.

According to me the best part of the celebration is to give a message. In one Diwali special I remember ACP delivering a speech in a Diwali fuction about pollution made by the fireworks. This definitely increases awareness among us.

This year's Holi special Khoon Ki Holi.

3)Which festival would you like to celebrated in the future ?? How and why ?

I would like to celebrate Durga Puja in future, but not at the cost of the plot.

A Kolkata based episode can be made with the celebration of the festival, but the story has to be a strong one, otherwise everything will be in vain.

If they want to make a festival special just for the sake of showing it and without a good story( like the Bhaiduj special) then a strict no from me. I will watch a festival special gladly if it is a proper detective story. In this connection I remember one excellent Feluda movie Jai Baba Felunath which covered the whole Durga Puja from the very first day to Bijaya Dashami without killing the suspense. It is a classic example how to include festival in a detective story.

I'll want to chage the recent Bhaiduj special. Well, making it in my style means writing the whole story which is not possible now due to lack of time. Following are the things I would like to include.

I would change the main villain. I simply hate the idea of a father killing his daughter.

I would try to show some bond between a brother and his sister. May be the plot is of a brother facing some problem and the sister doing her best to help him or vice versa.

Topic is according to the theme of the last week, and is really light for discussion. Considering response i think probably most of the CIDians share same views on this😊

if the theme of the show is not affected, festivals can be celebrated. I can recall just a few festival special cases, khon ki holi, happy diwali and diwali special of this year. And IMO they were well handled(except with few issues in happy diwali) Though last week's second case was again a special but there was no celebration, neither any msg was conveyed as such, so IMO it wasnt exactly a festival special(ok i was sleepy through out that case not sure if i missed something)

Best part of these special case is definetly to see the team in casual dressing, sharing some light moments😊

i agree with everyone in this. Once promo is out for any special episode, it is very much awaited by CIDians, boosting our expectations more than that for the usual cases. I would love to watch any festival special, but only if the plot and case is not compromised. Plot should be special enough to be considered special

During festival period, almost all shows present their festival specials, so i have no issues with special episodes in CID either, but they should not be made at the expense of the case plot

only episode special i wish to change is the Dusherra's special AC-9. I cant exactly suggest the changes but i would love to have sunny's or visrom's version instead of that. As for those cases in which festivals were celebrated in the show, though i liked happy diwali but mass murder right under the nose of CID, that too by a person who is unable to walk properly was a bit strange.
