Apart from Santosh Shetty and CD to some extent, not a single writer impresses. An absolute unimpressive bunch, they don't know what they are writing for Aahat or CID. They come up with such nonsense that it's not funny. FW needs to get a new set of thoughtful writers who have some understanding of Crime Thrillers if they want CID to do well in the times to come.

As compared Directors are more consistent but apart from B P Singh, no one seems to rise above the script. Their work is as good as the script which is bogus most of the time. Singh Saab can turn an average plot and make it interesting. His experience as a camera person shows in each and every frame he directs. Apart from him Santosh Shetty does well. I have seen him direct the better stories which he writes. He seems to understand the Crime Thiller format well with a Human Touch. He does a good job and I really hope better sense prevail in FW and he is moved from Aahat to CID with immediate effect. I look forward to his work in CID.

Other Directors Prominent directors like Nandu Kaale, Rajan Waghdare, Siba Mishra and Prabal Baruah as said before are as good as the script. Of these I like Rajan Waghdare, followed by Nandu Kale, they are more consistent. In recent times I am totally disappointed with Siba Sir, he has been a camera person too but his expertise doesn't reflect in his direction anymore like it used to once upon a time. He has lost his touch.

The name that spells doom these days is Singh Saab's son - Salil Singh. He ruins everything he touches these days. In his direction we have such cringe worthy forensic scenes that I end up saying "Bhagwan Uthale Mujhe", in his direction ACP turns into this Unnecessarily Aggressive Rude man (totally out of character), terrible support cast from whom he just can't extract any performance. When he started in 2006 he was decent but with each outing these days he is just getting worse. Salil please move to Aahat and seriously give CID a break.
