salam,,,,,in my openion Idea of movie is best,,,all characters of CID drama are able to do great work on big screen,,,,,visrom app kasse soch sakti ho ka BP Sing ki movie ho ge or us main Abhi sir or Daya sir romantic ya tragedy song ga raha hon ga,,,

jahan tak mera khial ha jo Team apna drama main dressing or dialogs ka khial rakhti ha vo movie main ye sab kasse dal sakti ha CID aik goverment ka office hota ha,,,,,,,They should have respect,,,,,iss bat ka khial ha CID Team ko,,,,show ko ham kae salon see dekh raha hain baki channels par kia kuch nahe dekhna ko milta magar CID main vo sab nahe ha is lia to ham sab is show ka fan hain

mera khial ha CID Team apna fans ki feeling ko TABAH nahe kara ge,,,,agar CID movie old episodes ka patteren par bana ya Hollywood action style jis main songs and emotional scenes nahe hota like,,,,,, NIGHT AND DAYS,,,,EXPENDABLES,,,,,

pore Team aik mission par kam kara jasa ka har episode main hota ha and full of action ho to koe bad idea nahe ha,,,,

songs ya music back ground main ho to best ha,,,,

i don't think soo if there is a romantic story CID fans will accept it,,,abhi kuch haad tak romantic scene main acha lagta hain maga daya to kabhi bhe nahe,,,CID ka aik apna immage ha barkarar raha to acha laga ga,,,

baki to BP SING sahib ki marzee ha,,,jitna gurrrrrr dala ga utna hi mitha hoga,,,,ha na,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, visrom

"The idea of the movie itself is not that bad. It will be a nice change. But if made in Bollywood style with songs and dances and item numbers, it will spoil the image of CID as we know it."

Well, the idea of making movie is not bad itself, but when the creative team cannot maintain the quality in the bi-weekly format, I feel it's better not to venture it now. making a detective movie without song and dance items is possible but the question is whether they can do justice to the image of CID. It'll be better if they can make series of 5-6 episodes(not compromising the quality)in the weekly format or just go back to weekly format and give us 4 good episodes every month.

Okay, I was thinking of the movie idea long before they announced it and I'm actually all for it.

Recently, I was watching "A Wednesday" on TV. I was totally imagining our Shivaji Satam in Anupam Kher's shoes and the two officers as Daya and Abhijit 😍 I was totally in dreamland.... I wish.

And yeah if they do make a quality movie with that kind of an interesting story, I think it's gonna be rocking. And, watching our favorite actors on the big screen is heaven in itself...

Why think so negatively yaar? It's just not possible to make a typical masala movie out of CID...I can't imagine it to be that way 😔

Anyways, like I said before, this is the only Indian TV show that has the potential of being made into a movie (kay, comedy shows like Khichdi which has been made into a movie):

i think its a great idea.

there r many detective hindi movies which are not like traditional hindi movie with song and dance sequences, instead it would be a cid case of 3 hrs instead of 1 lets wait for its release

A Wednesday is a lovely example to give but how many "A Wednesday"s are made in reality. Of 800 movies made every year, at times a year passes and not a single film comes close to it. Such films are rare, very rare come once in 2-3 years.

My response is looking at the track record. We have seen them introduce silly comedy and stupid flirting in the show itself. In films getting these elements is a given. If I have to sit through a song between Taarika and Abhijit Sir, I might just die of heart attack. FW has a very bollywoodish approach to things, even the latest promo is a good example of it.

However trying to look at the brighter side. There was a film called Airbaar starring Dimple, Raj Babbar and Suresh Oberoi. It was a complicated murder case which was solved Danny. Something like this might work well. CID there just to solve a case, thats all. You know what I mean. Imagine Sridhar Raghwan's story, Rajat Arora's screenplay, Virendra Shahney's dialogs, some good bollywood tech for background score, etc.

But Bi-weekly with Movie shoot is not humanly possible, do they already have clones of the TRIO cause without them nothing will work. So will stick to my choice of - BAD IDEA

so many views on this Topic! I am really confused whether to go with good Idea or bad Idea... Well finally I have voted for a Good Idea.. Here I consider only this 'CID Movie' Good or bad... Thats all.. I have not taken consequences of this movie into the consideration...

You are absolutely right.
We have seen Byomkesh Bakshi as serial(both in Hindi and Bengali) and also films have been made on Byomkesh stories. Same is true for Feluda series.But these are exceptional cases. We cannot compare them with CID.
So my opinion is that it's not a good idea.
Priority should be given to improve the quality of the bi-weekly episodes.
