CID movie - Good idea or not?

As you all know there has been an article in 'The Hindu' about B P Singh's plans to make a CID movie. This is the link.

even i feel that cid 150 would be much much much better idea !!

I am against the movie idea. If they are focusing on movie that will be the end of our show. Dont want to see the end of our show.

If the director is serious about movie idea then it is really bad. They cannot reproduce a tv hit on silver screen. It will be worst ever. The same characters will never going to work on film. The team will be split up and will miss every single thing we have on our show.

The most important problem is we cant see cid on tv then. It will be suicidal attempt to kill a great series. They will loose the focus on programme and will be worst that ever.

Hope the idea will never come true.

BAD BAD BAD Idea !!! It's not only that I would hate to see Abhi-Taarika and all but CID's finding it very difficult to sustain 1 episode properly and a whole movie along with the biweekly is a horrible Idea !!! Our trio already seems tired shooting for this Biweekly format and now a movie along with it would definitely affect their health as well !! Shivaji sir + Narendra sir are quite senior people and I wouldn't like to see them exhausted in the episodes !! A movie is a come and go but Regular episodes is what we see regularly and I want our trio in that fully !!! Disappearing acts have also become regular due to biweekly and now a movie on top of that would lead to lots more of disappearing acts !!!

The main concentration of FW will be on the movie and therefore very less attention will be given to the episodes which means tons of Laash downpours happening and many more kabars being digged !!!!

No I prefer them giving attention in making better episodes than a movie !!!

they plan to start it by next february. But i never feel they will quit the show. If they stop the cid on sony then it will be the end of all their ideas. Hope they will realise how bad idea it will be.

IMHO the concept of a movie in and itself isn't bad, but they've chosen a really wrong time to do it. The quality of the show itself needs serious improvement and this is not the time that they can divert the attention to the movie. Moreover, we have the team allegedly doing the Aakhri Chunauti shoot abroad and it's going to be quite stressful, then this in February. How much can they handle? And shooting for the movie alongside also shooting for the regular show episodes is totally impossible on all levels, and they'll have to temporarily pause the show till the film shooting is complete. I'm totally against that idea.

And about the movie itself, I'll absolutely hate it if they do a Bollywoodized film with item numbers and corny jokes. Only if they properly make a really quality film with a proper and thrilling story and incredible action and suspense (like A Wednesday perhaps) will I accept it. But if that comes at the cost of our team being overloaded with work and stress and the regular show is paused or suffers because of it, I'm still against the movie idea. I think BP Singh sir should work more on improving the quality of the show itself rather than divert attention to movies or other unneeded stuff.

it will not be like wednesday. They will make a typical bollywood masala.
I hope the idea will be postponed soon.

Yeah I'm afraid of that too, the hip Bollywood masala stuff is what attracts 90% of the moviegoing audience and that's what they mostly aim for profits. I really hope this idea gets dropped.

If BP Singh is in charge then I have no qualms about the movie. Bollywood does not comprise of masala flicks always. There have been many standard movies sans item numbers. If thw whole team is back to force then the film will be really successful.
