I read that in one of his interview, don't know where. In that he was basically talking about his film with Vani. He said he initially refused the film cause he could not believe that makers wanted him to play the lead. He felt he ain't good looking and he could not see himself as a hero. It took a lot for the makers to convince him that the film was written with him and only him in mind.

Call unconventional looks or whatever, I don't know but I find him very good looking and handsome. He has got great style.
