There are several ways to look at this. For one, there were actually several torn photographs in the room and the team only put together one of them. They didn't even try to piece together the others. It is possible that the criminals brought photos of all members of the CID team and then had the doctor do all those measurements on them to figure out which face he would be able to duplicate on Rocky.

Another way to look at it is that the photo(s) of Daya with the measurements was/were deliberately left there by the criminals in order to mislead the team. That's why they didn't destroy all the evidence: they planted them to mislead CID (in which case they did succeed to a great extent).

Yet another thought which came to my mind at one point during the episode is that there could be multiple imposters and we were only shown one of them in the beginning so that we'd be shocked when the twist is revealed. But they didn't do this and went in another, peculiar direction.

Problem is: they should have explained all this in the end. Instead the viewers are left confused. I think the writers and director(s) were being oversmart in their attempts to mislead the audience. 🤔

The ACP's sudden incompetence was frustrating. This is the man who could pick out minute details which no one else noticed. This is the man who led the team even when he was blinded for a while. And he gets fooled so easily? 😕

Whatever we get next week, one thing is for sure: this show needs a completely new and more competent creative team and a break to relax and brainstorm on ideas. 😉
