Thanks tvdost yes true I am surprised but I think the housewives watch these shows and maybe some working women if they get time and it looks like the more the torture the more the TRPs of some shows.😕 once the tv was privatised no curb was there on the story lines like doodarshan which followed strict guidelines on story lines and not repeating and were mostly story based.

Agreed DD had shown good shows with substance......even in the beginning zee tv also had good shows with strong storyline.....there were many shows like Hasraten..Astitve...Sarhaden etc......it all started with K brand.....perhaps she was influenced by Bold and Beautiful, which is running for years and still running....on a lighter note some thing good came out for the women , earlier it was always man who could marry again and again now it was women turn. to ride in the same boat.....women just became decorative pieces with no self respect or dignity......running after other person ,s husband as if they don't have anything to do....one side is pati parmeshwar kind and on the other side women with weird and vicious expressions.......there is no Grey color....this trend is still going on little bit from here and little bit from there.....Simplicity and normal life has flown out of the window.......every channel is trying to out smart the other channel with same ideas but in twisted way......DJ,s soaps were always good with different story line....because of its name i started viewing Chhoti BAhu midway , and was hooked to this soap.....it was a love story with new concept......it had freshness , innocence , simplicity with touch of LORD Krishna ,s presence.....Radhika played the different characters which came in to Lord Krishna ,s life....first as Radha , then Meera ,when she kept herself away from Dev., when got married then as Rukmini and when Dev rescue her from the producer then as Draupdi, ......i may be wrong also......later on they also spoil this story......funny thing is ZEE itself is copying its own soap.Chhoti Bahu ,in another soap which is recently launched... after Chhoti Bahu Lord Krishna, s demand has increased.....every other female is carrying Lord Krishna ,s idol in other soaps....yes i used to like Jyoti where she was shown dignified and with self respect , a normal girl...a normal family without any artificial frills....later on it also went overboard with its social reforms.....now i don't find anything interesting in hindi soaps......just copying each-other......

Neerja loved ur thoughts and I think most of us got hooked to Cb and were very angry that the story tracks started getting bad and worse with regressive tracks like burning widow ceremonies ONS started but still the leads had a charm and could not stop watching.Actually I have not seen any saas bahu serials as after a long time I started watching CB that too from in between. Now they r reapting in Zee smile which I regularly watch.

Would you please give us all the evidence/links that in Delhi these female sexual exploitation is on the rise?? And then you also go on adding that in rural areas as well....ARE YOU SUGGESTING DELHI COMES IN BEING a rural area??? Clarify yourself and elaborate on your statement if you may please??😲😲

Now in the second highlighted line do you in your little knowledge think and truly believe that slapping a person solves everything and you win your argument and no harm is done???
😕😕

SaNiCo,
No offense meant, dear. Let me explain myself on the 2 points you required clarification:
1. Delhi and rural areas: No, I am not classifying Delhi as a rural area, first. Secondly, I have heard so many stories from my relatives living in Delhi, that it is dangerous for girls to be travellling alone in buses, at night, etc. etc. Also, eve-teasing is commonly recognised as an issue in Delhi, even channels like NDTV have reported on it. Remember stories about rapes, acid throwing on girls, etc. 🤢Have not the time to find and post links for you now, will do so later.
As for the rural areas, how many reports are there of girls being abused, even last night, there was a tweet from a friend i know, whose living in a small town near Salem in Tamil Nadu. Her maid's brother had a girl child born, and she was saying how her brother was sad that it was a girl, and this inspite of him having one son also. So see the state of some parts of India.
Don't mistake me, I am as patriotic as any Indian - my husband (non-Indian) will be the first one to tell you. 😆
2. Giving a slap - it was a metaphorical one, carried away by my frustration at seeing this girl in such an innocent state. I simply cannot believe that there is a girl who is sooooo innocent, what with the profusion of serials on Satellite and DD also. So what I was trying to say is just to shake some sense of living in the 21st century into this girl. 😡 That's all.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but come on, so many times we have said we want to kill Ammaji / bash up Mrin/ Abhay even, etc, and no hard feelings on anyone in this forum. Confused
So hope you understand my POV.
Look forward to your response.
