Misti,
I forgot to wish you for your birthday. So, happy birthday and lots of best wishes from me.
1. I am with you on not letting this story affect me any more. It happened to me during the burning track as well as during ONS track. I hate this track and the way they have shown it. The only thing I like about it is Radhika's independence from everyone and finding a job on her own. It seems that she has now learnt enough that she can apply for a job. Most probably, she is going to a school to apply for a singing position. In any case, I am going to watch the episodes if I like them and skip otherwise. Also, I have stopped watching my other soap and I refuse to watch any more because if it is a movie and good one, it lasts for 2-3 hours. But, with soap so much control is with the writers and once you fall in love with some story and characters and the writers change it to suit their ratings, the viewers feel betrayed. I am feeling like that for this show. So, I am not going to let any other show including CB affect me anymore.
2. I agree with you that it is not Dev's child and he didn't have physical relationship with this woman and they will show some stupid reason for this which won't make any sense. Right now they are going for their usual stupid mystery and high melodrama as well as negativity towards Radhika (standard soap stuff and you can include any soap in it) to increase their ratings. I have a feeling that hte ratings would go up as all the shows on top have main characters suffering and crying all the time.
3. Is she going to be shown as a sister? It would make sense, but then when have these creatives gone for sensible. In fact, their worst episodes are usually right after the good episode. She is going to be shown as a wife. Based on Sandeepa's update, it does seem that she is little bit of strange character, but doesn't seem to look mentally challenged. Well, whatever. As you said, the creatives haven't yet decided anything concrete so far. I would like it if that young guy is shown as a husband to this girl. But again I highly doubt it. They mystery won't be solved tomorrow as the precap will be the last scene of tomorrow's episode so that viewers are eager to see on Monday if Dev turns his head towards Radhika and sees her back or her face (Radhika is turning her head as he is turning towards her).
4. There will be lot of misunderstandings on both sides. Dev will think that he is married (depending upon sister or wife), but will def. think that Radhika is married and is deeply in love with her husband. Radhika would think that Dev betrayed her and his family. Once she discovers about the memory loss, she will try to bring him back, but would back out if Dev is shown to be that child's "father". She will still try to reunite him with his family for Dadi and Vaishali's sake as well as for RP title, but may think about going out of his life (repeat of last year). Then, Dev will finally remember everything and will stop her and so on.
The length of the track will depend upon the popularity of the show and the track will be cut short if it starts tanking which I think it would. Nobody wanted teh story to go onto this direction. I for one am looking forward for it to get wrapped up by showing some good justice to Radhika and happy life for her (right now, have no sympathy for Dev). That is another thing. I always liked Dev's character, but now his character will be the one ping-ponging thus destroying that affection that viewers have for Dev. Oh, well they have destroyed all the strong characters anyway. Dev and Kanha were the only ones left. Why spare them in their quest for ratings.

Angie the ONS track cured me of this addiction........I have already lost RaDev and if they show any wife for Dev other than Radhika...don't care whether it is true or false..........I will loose Dev too...any child other than Radhikas...Dev is gone for me......I am watching to see Radhikas independence and her life........So will watch it and do this funny commentary........they might end up with Radhika asking Dev to accept Vishak as wife cycle here..only here they might show Radhika sensing that something is wrong and proving that this lady is not the wife and the child is not his.

Yes they are trying to stretch without letting the viewers know what this woman is in his life....but if they stretch it too much then the elastic will break.

yep sister is the logical option but logic anf these creatives don't go hand in hand...this girl did not look mentally unstable........she looked menatlly unstable and clingy in the fair scene,,,,but today she looked normal but not genuine,.........something was wrong..maybe the kid is also not hers.....she has been given a guy who has lost his memory as husband........the child as her child....a ready made family to play with......then Radhika will be after her........memory will be back and later on they will adopt the child..........kahani khatam.😆

ahh you are forgetting the locket........he will look at the locket and remember everything.😆

Wrapping up is a good option........Kanha has been destroyed long time back..........Dev was left and they will do that to him too.

Angie, I also have started to lose interest in watching other soaps, because ultimately they all end up going on the same path; their manzil is trps!
The only show I watch is 'Keshav Pandit'. The reason is that it's not a serial in the sense that there is no continuing story other than the underlying story of Keshav Pandit's background and purpose for being a purveyor of justice. Each week I get to watch a new mystery/case being solved by him and his two sidekicks/buddies. The show airs only once a week so there is no huge committment and even if I miss an episode here and there, I'm not compelled to scramble around for updates to fill in any blanks. With a show like this I'm not emotionally invested and I can just sit back and watch, guess the outcome (I do love a good mystery!), compare my guess with the actual outcome of the case, and then move on with my life after the episode is over. No needless worrying and analyzing about what's going to happen next or what the show's CVs are going to do. And since KP is an Ekta Kapoor show, I don't expect too much from it anyway. I just tune in when I happen to be home. So far all the episodes I've seen have been enjoyable, and like I said...no emotional investment/committment and no attachments.

Angie ... they may go the Daag way ... and somehow will explain why Dev and that other girl did not have a physical relationship

Misti .. agree with you that they will not go with the "child is Dev's" or show the two of them having a relationship - that would be total harakiri

As far as attachments to shows or characters are concerned, I am very attached to Dev's and Rad's characters in that order. Just like they have progressed Rad's character I would have liked to have seen Dev's character grow, mature, become much smarter and craftier in the way he deals with people, lose some of the innocence and naivete that he had - in other words, a more complex character

CB was easier to watch IMO... post August last year till ONS this year ... barring fire track for a couple of weeks which they quickly resolved ... they had problems but everything was resolved in a couple of weeks. I may not have liked Rads or Dev's characterization in some of the episodes but in general it did not bother me a lot

CB will definitely be the last soap I will watch on a regular basis ... however hard I try to stay detached, once you like the characters and the actors who play them ... it becomes hard to let go

In any case, whatever route they chose to go, I hope Avi and Ruby get to display their acting skills and win awards and accolades ... and hope for their sake that the show continues to run as long they want it to

Misti,
I just finished watching the soap. I don't like the new character even if she turns out to be Dev's sister. The reason is that they are making her another Vishaka. She is shown to be same way self-centered and selfish. They will show her semi positive with her mother being the main villian for the time being. Then, they will turn her negative just when Dev and RAdhika are about to be reunited or just after their reunion.
So, they nixed Vishaka because of the audience reaction, but brought another Vishaka anyway. What does it matter if Priyanka or Sonia are playing the roles. During the ONS, I believe that they were going to go with Vishaka being pregnant with Dev's child and then family torn between the two sisters. They are going to do the same here except that Deepak won't be Dev's child.
I was attached to Radhika initially and then became attached to Dev more and was rooting for their union mostly because of Dev. Last one year, I was sympathetic to Dev especially during June-pre engagment as Radhika was quite unjust to Dev. Today, I have lost all the feelings for Dev and Radhika and Dev are just ordinary couple to me even if the child is not Dev's and Kanika not his wife. So, like you I will be watching for Radhika only to see if she gets the justice in anything.
Again, from today onwards I prefer to see only Vivek, Birju, VAishali and Radhika as a family (Dadi is gone for so many months starting from Holi season; she was her old self in few episodes). Mrin is not funny anymore and she is actually tedious. What a waste of talent as far as Kirti is concerned. They have turned her from a grey complex character into a joke.
In today's episode, I like Radhika's quiet dignity and found her to be pretty. After she finds out Dev, she should loosen up and look after her more. Maybe dress a little bit more modern (palluwise) and leave her hair open from time to time. I hope they show a singing career for her and I am now rooting for her to be successful.
So, they need to show Dev's back history and his relationship to this new family by Monday, otherwise I am fast losing interest in this track. Kind of curious to see what has happened to ratings this week. They are showing all this negativity for a month now (Dev had an accident on May 20th) and needs to bring more lightness to the show otherwise they will lose their remaining audience. But, then the sensitbilities of Indian audience seem to be different. All the top rated shows have lousy tracks and too much negativity along with good characters acting as sacrificial lamb to the evil ones.

now the story has really progressed a lot ,,earlier they used to play the game "mera pati sirf mera hai" ...and now they will play the game " mera baap kaun hai"(deepak) or " meri asli family kaun hai"(dev),,,

but did u notice a drastic change ,,hairstyle swapping,,,between radhika and dadi..

and I just loved mrin' s acting today,,she was too comic,,

and the way the family deals with dadi,,,radhika's old practice of telling lies has helped her a lot,,,

who is the father?.........there is one thing that I am hundred percent certain regarding this kids father.......its not me and my guess is it is a man.........not Dev. That does not mean that I am saying that Dev is not a man........Dev is a man but not the father.
Yes I noticed the change of hairstyle between Radhika and dadima.
Shiny dadima is close to the edge.......the only thing that is keeping her alive is the thought that Dev is alive and is with them........she cannot see him but she thinks that since the family is telling her he must be around........its the thought of seeing Dev that is keeping her alive.......so do you think that it is a humane action to hide the truth from her so that she lives or to tell her the truth so that she looses all will to live...........I mean what is the use of telling the truth to her now? I know that Radhika has lied before which to viewers was not the right thing to do, but before when she lied she did not want to face the truth.......she was manipulated and used by the very people whom she considered as famliy........do you hink that anyone living in those conditions will have the capability to differentiate between right or wrong.....she ddin't have anybody to depend on...its only after Dev gave her the confidence that she was able to face the truth.
