p.s.: I hesitated for a long time to say this to you, but thought if there is any incorrect information, we can clarify it.

Mishti,
yes, she definitely was part of all the tracks you mentioned.
But I don't care about this one person. Rubbish people are there in every walk of life, every religion, every language, every caste, every state, every country.
Like I said in the other thread, I will hold only Deeya and Tony Singh responsible for such utter crap, even if they tell me they do not have time to watch this show. They are funding this crap and making money in return.

Thank you everyone for such insightful thoughts expressed in this thread. While I started to respond to each person individually, time became an issue. Reading your posts, I want to put all the thoughts together – yours and mine.....

The Creatives have turned their own beautiful story into a piece of GARBAGE using religion as the background. I am not a religious person but I RESPECT religion, any religion that elevates human existence, makes a person stronger and makes him/her compassionate towards their fellow humans.

I have forgiven the Creatives many transgressions and lapses in the story because I believed that they would continue to make a character that is weakened by the circumstances of her birth into a strong and powerful character when exposed to unconditional love. What is a story without obstacles and difficulties? Hence twists were acceptable. How the twists make a story move forward gets your attention and you continue to watch.

Lately the twists have taken a whole new meaning.

Instead of taking a moral high ground (this is a religious story, isn't it?) to beat the opponents of the protagonists, the story spews FILTH from the mouth of one set of women towards a whole group of generally smart and morally intact group of people and no one is allowed to say a word in their defense and provide responses with logic. There is plenty of material to counteract the opponents, but that is sidelined in favor of nauseating FILTH! Somewhere in the FILTH Kaanha is shown. Because of that are viewers expected to forgive the FILTH that follows? 2 characters are given prominence and the rest are logically- challenged and speechless bystanders.

There are many who feel that they are fine with the GARBAGE as long as the lead protagonists fight their adversaries together. In the last few weeks, I have yet to see the protagonists open their mouths in a meaningful dialogue to fight anything that is happening to them. Good characters are deprived of thinking and possessing a brain to help the protagonists. The bad ones bombastically keep going on and on and on and on until the story has lost direction. There are no counter arguments and no logic as to why the story got here in the first place and nor is there an end in sight for this FILTH.

One of the most appalling things for me is that women are portrayed as either weak and unable to defend themselves against abuse and tyranny or as the lowest of the low forms of human species in a day and age when women have made such strides in my country of birth through education, societal acceptance in a male-dominated world, independence in thought and action, participation in male-dominated workplace, politics, etc.

Looking at the current story track, I have questions for the Creative team:

Did you watch the earlier episodes before you started writing for this serial?

Where did the uniqueness and beauty of the show go?

Do you have the intelligence to tell the difference between what was aired then and what is aired now?

Do you write your stories with ALL viewers in mind?

Are you comfortable and feel justified in writing about Kaanha and the other FILTH in the same story?

Do you have female children and relatives at home?

Are you comfortable having your children and family members - old and young - watch your show aired on TV about one night stands to get pregnant out of wedlock?

Are you comfortable having your children and family members - old and young - watch your show aired on TV about falsely "accusing" an innocent person of fathering an illegitimate child that was not his?

Are you comfortable as women to write the FILTH that you make the female characters vocalize in your show?

As female writers are you comfortable degrading women to such an extent?

Are you so sadistic that you keep bashing up your lead characters in the worst possible way time after time?

Do you think of your own personal family and moral values when writing these stories?

Do you think of your responsibility to the society in general when writing these stories?

Does reality of Indian life and realism of your story ever enter into the equation when you write?

Do you stop for a second to think of your responsibility to the religious sensibilities of your viewing audience when you make your characters follow your script?

At the end of the day, is commercialism all that matters to you when you have access to the most powerful medium in the world that reaches millions of households – television?

With the recent GARBAGE that is aired in CB, this show has lost opportunity to redeem itself or reestablish itself to its old glory! The responsibility of the ruination lies squarely on the shoulders of the DJs and Zee TV.

Gardes, before airing friday episode, Devki, Vaisali and few others( Radh, Amma) know that Dev never had any physical relationship with Vish kanya...
But they turning the plate on theiir own face now. Like laying on ur back , and spitting into the air,..naturally it falls on ur face only. That is what the CV team is doing now. Just give them a loud roud of claps...for showing themselves so low.😡

You hit the spot!! There are some serious morality flaws in the creatives. I can accept some immorality but that immorality must be shown not to flourish or go unpunished. To-date all the acts carried out by Amma and Vish have gone unchecked and unpunished... they seem to go scot free, especially Amma - especially so after burning Radhika!! Really makes a mockery of faith in goodness and god.
Like to add one more point. Devki was supposed to have gone on a yatra (not sure what it means, but i assume some sort of a pilgrimage) If she had gone on a type of pilgrimage and if she had done it with true bhakti - she would not - under any circumstances - at least at this point in time - just immediately after her pilgrimage (with true bhakti) when her mind would be filled with devotion and spirituality - she would not be swayed by Amma - not matter what she says. I believe totally in the power of the mind and a mind immediately after a pilgrimage well done - would be be clear. It may change with time living under normal circumstances and become cloudy and filled with doubts later. But if Devki had done her yatra right - she would not hesitate to tell the truth - she would see through Amma's lies immediately.
But if her yatra was done with less than pure bhakti then she would return from her pilgrimage in the same cloudy mind that she left.
