I wondered what the next scenario in CB would be after this terminal Vivaah track and it suddenly struck me that this can happen .
Shastri has somehow come to know that his sainted Amma was the one who has burnt his daughter Radhika and his house down and made satyanaash of the wedding that was going so well . Radhika has of course , not revealed Amma's name , but the police clearly indicated about the lock and the oil and informed him that there was foul play . He remembered how Amma had suddenly changed and realises the truth . He cannot give his kasam to Radhika as she is in ICU but he gives it to all present to tell him if any fact is being hidden and Vishakha tells him that it was Amma.
Shastri { deeply shocked } : Amma, aap ? aapne putri Radhika ko jalaya ? Itni nafrat ? aakhir putri Radhika ne aapka kya bigada tha Amma jo aap is had tak utar aayi ? Maine aapko kitni baar shabdon se samjaya lekin aap nahi samaj payi . Isliye aaj main kruti karke dikhaunga . Atithi Vishakha , tanik ustara lao .
Vishakha : { misunderstanding her father's actions] : Nahi Babuji , main aapko apna wrist slit karne nahi doongi .
Shastri : { quivering with deep grief looking at Amma's chubby unrepentant face } : Theek hai , aakhir atithi se kya ummeed ki ja sakti hai . Devkiji aapko mere mare muh ki kasam , aap lao varna aap suhagan nahi rahegi ."
Of course Devki brings the razor blade with trembling hands and gives it to Shastri . The kasam leaves no options and saying " Bhaad mein gayi tumhari kasam Main ustara nahi doongi " is sacrilege in Vrindavan .
Lots of Govind Gopal Radhe Radhe music . Shastri slowly takes razor blade up up up to his face while camera zooms on the horrified looks of all .........wondering if Shastri is going straight for the jugular instead of the slow slitting of the wrist .
Devki , hand on her mouth : Hai Ram !
Vishakha : Babuji , nahi !
Amma ; Lalla jo hua so hua tu us chori ke liye kyu gala kaat raha hai . Jo paap lage woh moko lage toko naahi .
Dadi : Shastriji apne aap ko sambhaliye .
Dev : Dadima theek keh rahi hai Babuji. Agar aapko kuch hua toh Radhika mere saath sindoor lagakar bhi ghar nahi aayegi seedhe aapke paas swarg aayegi . Mujh par taras khao aur rukiye Babujii .
Susheel has stopped chewing gum and is staring with fascination .
Mrinalni is not rolling her eyes for a change .
Arjun is trying hard to wipe the ill timed smirk from his face but it is unfortunately not going due to sheer habit and it is proving embarassing for him .
Vaishali looks hopefully on . Will Shastri's sucide really make Radhika give up her life and go to swarg as Dev said ? Is there hope . after all ?
But music changes , the Dheen Tak ! track starts and Shastri , instead of cutting his jugular , starts shaving his head instead . Snip Snip Snip . all the locks of hair fall in front of Amma;'s unholy chubby feet , and it dawns on everyone that he is , instead of a Tarpan , doing a Mundan.......to denote that his mother is dead for him from now on .
As each lock of hair falls for the next fifteen minutes , there r sighs from the Vrindavan crowd . Someone has informed the Turbaned Mustachios who hurry over there and try to stop him in vain .
Turbaned gang : Shastri aap zinda aadmi ke liye mundan nahi kar sakte . Yeh Shastron ke khilaaf hai aur iska jawab aapko panchayat mein dena hoga . Aapne aise kaise mundan kar diya . Aap vrindavan ke niyam achchi tarah jaante hai . Pehle Tarpan , phir jalsamadhi ab Mundan . Aap niyam par niyam tode ja rahe hai Shastriji . Iska jawab dena hoga . Agar Doshi paaye gaye to aapko Vrindavan chodna padega aapki is musibat Amma ko lekar . Hume aajkal unka dar lagne laga hai . Na jaane kab aakar hume bhi jala dengi .
Shastri { totally shaven now , with an unrepentant look on his face } : Jo mujhe theek prateet hua woh maine kiya . Aapko jo theek prateet hota hai aap kijiye . Mujhe koi aapatti nahi .
Vishakha goes and tells Radhika in the ICU about the drama outside .
Radhika : Nahi , main aisa hone nahi doongi . Jab Tak Main zinda hoon Babuji ko Vrindavan se koi nahi nikaal sakta . Ab main theek ho jaoongi Vishakha , meri beti hone ka dharm nibhane ka phir ek mouka aaya hai . Mujhe theek hona hi padega Vishakha . Main kanha ki kasam khati hoon , jab tak main Babuji ke sir par baal wapas nahi ugaoongi main Purohit Bhavan ek vadhu ke roop main nahi jaoongi .
Scene ends .
Is this scene far fetched ? In Vrindavan , anything can happen . I know , no one of us can laugh but even if this brings a smile , ill be happy .
