to be honest he is good looking, but not a good actor though. his acting needs to improve truck loads & his expressions are totally frozen, they never seem to change
one thing i can't stand about dev's character is, that he is a total leech, very selfish, he is always thiking about his self
if you love some one you let them be & find your happiness in there
happiness
but he is always forcing his selfish needs on her, now that she doesn't want to rerturn, her father respected her wishes, why? because he loves her unconditionally & respects his daughters wishes
just for her happiness he walks away
but this obsessive leech dev gets angry & tells her like posessed man. you will come back
if you love her so much mister then respect her wishes [his expressions forever the same & can't stand dev's grin when he thinks his selfish needs are fulfilled]
i was glad her father didn't force her, but mr chipkoo will never rest
but you don't know the meaning of love mr leech dev, all you care about is that you get to see her & hassle her to come to you
only reason i hate this show, is due the male character, wish dev's character wasn't so selfish & love was portrayed as in pure form, rather then dev actiing like a psycho obsessed lover, who manipulates situations to be near her
avi & ruby are great looking pair on screen, acting wise very wooden
the girl playing vishaka is a far better actress

i dont think his dancing needs work at all. i think he was stiff because of that huge sherwani he was wearing.... but if you watch the episode of Dance India Dance where he danced to Alvida it was amazing... i watched it a million times but neer get tired of it.

if dev was like you want him to be according to what you've listed the drama would be going anywhere.and dont you think Radika is a little too much sacrificing?
she talks about bhakti and crap but shes doing a huge sin herself by lieing to dev i.e. her husband. and trying to get him and vishaka together when she knows that vishaka doent want to be with him in the first place?
after all that i think dev has all the rights of the world to go after his love. and why shouldnt he? radika loves him back too so what should stop him?

They are both amazing actors - watching the CB 150 celebration i could see that Rubina is actually domineering and very self-confident, and Avi is not so dominant, but a total prankster. Funny that in the show they play nearly opposite roles, and make it look natural. I'm especially impressed with Rubina!
So, let's hope someone takes their amazing on-screen chemistry to the big screen soon, I predict a block buster...........

It is amazing how we have one post today comparing him to SRK and another that pays peans of praise to his smile!😆
I remember SRK in Circus on DD, long ago. Who would have ever thought that that "bandar" will come such a long way! Well, well- anything is possible. what one is meant to become one will.

The only thing that I feel he should improve upon is the way he delivers dialogues esp those emtionally packed ones....like when he speaks to himself and says he must go on with his duty and try to forget everything else......since he is compared to Amitabh, I would say that he has to put in more punch and emotion into his dialogues (like amitabh's famous dialogue "mein aur meri tanhayi"...
rest everything is perfect :-) and I don't care about his dancing skills so much coz i don't believe it has any connection to acting.

monologues are quite pretentious. Amitabh does it so well as he had a poet for a father and has shayri in his blood. Our Avi is getting there. I agree dancing is not truly relevant, but in B'wood to survive, he needs to learn to be more fluid in his movements. Dancing improves poise anyways.
