For a few weeks I have been disappointed by the Ashram track. As many have mentioned, the people in the Ashram appear a little odd and un-Ashram like (deefan, sigrid). I expected and wanted Rad to go to Ashram get the sense kicked in her by a ninja like Guru so that she can become Choti bahu.

But Guruji's words really struck me..."you can not come to Ashran to run..." Indeed Rad is once again facing the issues that she faced in the real world in the smaller testing ground of the Ashram

Knowledge is not a potion, but something that one has to want and own. Rad can not be told what to do. Again and again the puzzle pieces are laid in front of her. She is mystified by the fact that the same things are happening to her over and over. It is because she does not solve them. She runs from them.

Janki: We can all argue that she is a mini-Amma. Her thoughtless adherence to rules and no concern for who she hurts are the same hurtful principles practiced by Amme. Hopefully Rad can eventually speak up for one of those little girls and hence speak up for herself. If I see Janki as metaphor for Amma, I see these girls, far from their parents as an incarnation of Rads as a young girl.

Guruji: A larger Shastriji. He is unprejudiced and more attune than Shastriji. He unlike Shastriji can pick up the subtleties that are going on in Rad's mind. Rads never spoke to Shastriji in a truthful way that he deserved. She has the chance this time to correct this wrong. Can she tell Guruji her problem?

Kanha: a relationship that is one in which Rads constantly asks why? why? Can it be here that finally the answer comes not from Kanha, but from within herself?

Other Women/Society: Rad is ostracized wherever she goes. This is because she does not speak plainly. Her actions appear to be always illogical, She came to the Ashram not revealing the truth of what bought her here. She is again subject to idle speculation. Can she speak and speak up this time?

Sasural house: When she left RP mansion, she left undoing all the ceremonial steps that she took to come in. They show this. The ashram is not just Vrindiban with its Amma and Shastriji but also a sasural house (thanks avaiation-ca and blokes for this analysis). Indeed she is back in Dev's house. This time can she not be a stupid scapegoat that has no respect for her own reputation? Can she re-do this so that she emerges as a woman who respects herself and her reputation? While being a slave to what other people think is unwise, Rad's does not deem herself important enough to fight for what people think of her

Keshav: This is another loose end who is back. Their last meeting of significance was when she says "goodnight" after their date. She has never spoken clearly to him. Can she do so now?

Dev: Of course this is the big enchilada. He is here and he is asking her to be his life partner. Gone are the days before when she "played wife" in the RP mansion by doing everything for him secretly. Can she now in this new sasural house really accept this role?

Puja: Bhoomi puja-once again Rad has the chance here to do things right. Please do not pretend you are Vishaka. Take your rightful place as Mrs. RP.

Finally Guruji told Dev that he will find what he is looking for in this ashram. Is that the truth of his life?

Whoa, Julie- what an analysis! Beautiful. I hope the viewers are getting it. I do think that the creatives are hinting at some of what you have written about.

I would like to add this: There is no "running" away from this world- the world follows you when you want to run away from it. To truly renounce it, you have to truly leave it behind- not let one meeting with dev make u want to run back into his arms. And such a meeting will also not make you want to turn your face away from him when speaking to him.

No, our rads is far from the world she ran away from. Rather, it is larger than life now. She is going about renouncing it all the wrong way. She is yet to understand tht she has unfinished business pending that needs resolution before she commits to a lifetime sevika role.

Further, she needs to develop a sense of compassion. Right now she is busy making people "wrong" and "right". It is too black and white for her. She has to drop this rigidity to understand human nature.

Amma is her nemesis. Just as Rads is clear about her set of rights and wrongs, so is amma. hence the problems betwixt the two. Devki can never take a stand on ANY subject. Hence she is as good as not there. To get amma to drop her rigid stance is for rads to recognize that she is being obdurate.

I sincerely hope that even it takes a month for rads to realize some stuff about herself, she is better off understanding them and coming to Dev stronger and wiser. She would then make a better RP too for Dev.

Hopefully frequent meetings with Rads at the ashram (with the help of Guruji ie) will also guide Dev into making wise decisions about the mutt and realizing rads inherent problem solving skills that are not emotional in nature.

yes it seems Guruji is all knowing

Is he reading Radhika's mind or he has learned from his sources who she is & her incrimination by panchayat.

radhika does have determination , but it is not being used in the right direction Hope Guruji will be able to guide Radhika to the right path .

Nice post, you are slowly tying the pieces of the story, something is at the back of my mind ever since Kanha stopped making his appearances, I am just trying to figure out why, the only time he seemed to make an appearance easily is when she does something physically harmful to herself, but the emotional harm he figures she can handle on her own, that to me is puzzling..

But coming back to your post, much of Radhika's problem lies in the fact that she did not have her own self worth or identity to begin with, she is slowly working on that aspect but currently people see her a blank sheet of paper that they use and abuse and then throw away. Dev is the only one who has realized her worth and she doesn't know how to handle this.

I think she is shocked by what is happening around her but at this point she thinks it's too late and that is the approach I think she is taking in her actions. I like her equation with Guruji, somehow she doesn't have the weight or debt of paying back anything from servant of God, so in that sense, she is more open when it concerns him.

Somehow I think Dev will know about his truth soon enough in this ashram. Lots of loose ends but it's looking like Purohit family will see Vish with Purab dancing at the wedding and Dadi and Vaishali might ring Dev who lies about Vishaka being there, which will keep them guessing, this will probably go on till the bhoomi puja...

JP Nice post..Deepa you wrote wht i am thinking..only i don't know how to write..Radhika is black paper..all come & write wht they want...

When she learn for herself that all her problem gone. She never ask for her always how to help other. she grown up with Vishakha but never learn one simple thing for her..

I hope Guruji heared wht they talk...He might help her..First Radhika has to stop running from Dev and problem..

I think it is high time, Radhika should realize that renunciation is not running away or hiding away!! 😊 For a moment I thought she had truly renounced her rights towards Dev, when she was walking towards Dev with a loving smile. I thought she will bypass Dev and go towards the girls. That would have been a true case of renunciation. But thank God(Kanha), she came to Dev!!! 😳 She got so perturbed after seeing Dev, that gave us so much hope! I think Guruji has realized this or maybe in throes of this realization.

Now my take on this!!!

Remember when RaDev got married, Radhika, was seeking kanha's help in deciding what to do?

She has these visions of their meeting,

the way Dev looked at her at the raas leela and then at nidhivan, then the Purohit khandani kangan put on her and stuck there, Dev holding her hand and saying- 'yeh kangan tumhare liye hee bane hai', then Dev's mehendi on her hand and she trying to wash it away, the water from the ghat being splashed on her, etc.

Deep down in her heart , Radhika knows that she and Dev are ment to be. She also says this to her mother after the wedding.

But when Vish returns and amma gives her weired logic, Radhika goes into denial mode.

When Dev came to know Radhika, his DG as Vish sis in haridwaar, and he says that

'janti ho yeh kyon hua, kyon ki mera pyaar saccha tha , tadap sacchi thi, tumhara aas paas hona muzhe hamesha se hee mahsoos ho jata tha, tumhare dil ki dhadkan muzhe bahut door se he sunai padti hai',

she is shown nodding to his statement as if saying, my love I know all this but the world does not want us to be together.

The same Radhika can be seen during phool bangla when Dev comes back to fetch her and says

'muzhe ehsaas ho gaya tha, ese lag raha tha ki dil ka tukda peeche choot gaya ho',

the way she reacts is of surprise and denial.

She knows that Dev will always love her and will search and find her from where ever she is.

This evident from the dream which she has when she is in the ashram and she imagines Dev comming to get her.

Later when Dev really comes to the asharm when she has juist finished her tapasya and both see each other, she is the one who walks to him as if her heart was waiting for him.

Here Dev for the first time has a look in his eyes where is is a passive partner and just stares at the love Radhika has in her eyes for him.

But when Radhika comes out of that trance , Dev realizes that Radhika is back in her shell and becomes aggrasive again and then stops her to talk to her.

My prediction is that, Radhika will stay in that ashram a little longer because she has to get her guard down a little where Dev is concerned.

She has to come out of the Denial mode to accept the fact that her rightful place is besides Dev, with him.

She has to be away from amma, Devki, Vivek, birju, Vishakha,and the Purohit clan, and all those who do not know the truth or who want to hide the truth.

She has to be on her own to avoid any influence on her decisions.

The vetal baba can be suttle with his gnyaan and Dev can keep on visiting the ashram and be persistent with her, pulling her inch by inch towards himself.

Dev's constant presence arround will keep reminding her about her goal (being a wife to Dev) and in the mean while Dev can keep digging or stumbling on the truth from, Nandu, Devki, Photograph (Birju shoud get to cleaning the Vrindavan house for the preperation of bhumi pujan so as to stumb;e over the photo).

Yes jpalagrawal, the ashram will be a place where Radhika - the untouchable will hybernate to metamorphise into the Rajpurohitayeen, wife of Dev Rajpurohit, into Radhika Dev Rajpurohit.

you are right April sunrise Rads have to stay for in the ashram for little longer and have to realize about Dev's love

if she returns to his father then amma will start cursing her and blame her for all this happenings though because of amma only Rad left her house

as all are saying Kanha is not coming to help Rads these days ........

but dont you know guys disguised dev is that Kanha who is helping Rads always when she is in pain ........Kanha wants Rads to realize this so he is not appearing ...............

i think creatives are going in that angle and tha's why they are not showing Kanha
