Written Update 14th January 2009
Dadi halts her and Deepika drops the ghoonghat. (haila! Dadi tu kab se villain ban gayaðŸ˜) Everyone looks at Dadi. Dev does some grimace like off ab kya Dadi. Dadi says whatever the custom dictates, but I won't look at my Choti Bahu ka cheera like this (areh baba!😡) otherwise what will we do for 'moo dikhayi' (a rasam where the family gets to see the bride!) Dev looks annoyed. Aama at that smiles. Deepika says ok but how will Dev put the Sindoor. Dadi retorts ghoonghat se andhar hi barenge. Dadi asks Aama is that ok. Aama stutters and says yes yes yes, why Devki it's ok nah, Devki says yes. Dadi asks Dev is it ok, Dev replies yes whatever you say a bit disappointed. Dev puts Sindoor in Radhika's maang without seeing her face. (Shaadi mubharak ho!) Everyone claps. Pandit says from now you are husband and wife. Vishaka is hiding and watching all this. Dadi exclaims happily ab mujhe meri choti bahu mil gayi. The samdhis -Purohitji and Shastriji greet and hug. Dev leans towards Radhika and says congratulations Mrs. Vishaka Dev Purohit. From now onwards I am yours, officially, forever. (areh Dev wah! romance kabhi bhi chalu!🤣)
The couple stand up and take the ashiwaad of Dadi, Dadi wishes them happiness and sadha suhagaan raho and that within one year grant me a grandchild. Mrinali hearing this raises an eyebrow. She says did I make you feel shy. My mother-in-law had blessed us like that and this ashiwaad will be fulfilled. They take blessings from Vaishali and she wishes them happiness. They take Purohiji, Panditji ashiwaad. Then take Shastriji's who stops him and says that we don't make the damaad touch feet at ours. Dev says I am not your damaad, but your son. Think that you have given your daughter, and got yourself a son. Shastriji gives them ashiwaad. He says we are lucky to have Dev as a damaad, keep everyone happy and serve the elders well so that they feel lucky they got a daughter 'in 'law like you. They take Devki's ashiwaad. Devki says kush raho. Forgive us any mistakes. They take Dev brother's ashiwaad. Chachu ka ' he says may lakshmi mata ka ashiwaad tumhara saat rahe. Then says tum (Radhika), Mrinali is grinning, anyways lakshmi mata waise bhi merebhan ho gayi hai. You don't need my ashiwaad. Purohit and Vaishali looks tensed. They are about to take Mrinali's ashiwaad. She stops them saying Please you know that I don't believe in this rasam of touching feet. If you want to show that you respect me, there are many other ways to show me. Everyone from Purohit, Vaishali, Mrinali's husband looks a bit sad. Dev replies that respect dil mein hoti hai, dekayi nahi jati. Anyways ashiwaad to deh dijye. Mrinali says all right all right! Be happy! Devki looks tensed. Aama signals her. Devki says I will prepare for the bidaai and takes Radhika. Birju teases Dev and says you look very happy and look at your smile. Dev says that if I am happy, can't I even smile in peace. Birju when you went to talk to her, you saw her face didn't you. Dev says Birju stop nonsense all time. When I talked to her, her ghoonghat was covering her. Vishaka hears this. Dev says that nobody saw Vishaka in her bridal wear. Dev says it is a matter of few hours now, I will see her in the end.
In Vishaka's room Devki tells the other girls to go outside and to prepare for the bidaai. Devki is crying and lifts the ghoonghat stares at Radhika and looks at her maag bhari sindoor and mangalsutra aur shagun ka kangan. Devki says to help Vishaka how many times did you have to replace her, but who knew you would have taken her place in the mandap too. Radhika says maybe it was meant to be. Devki says shayad teri kanha woh bhi manzoor tha. Radhika agrees. Devki says I will go and prepare for the bidaai. Devki leaves, and Radhika is thinking to herself that perhaps that she was destined to be married to Dev, and that's why Kanha let this happen. He didn't let me know that Dev wanted to marry me till now. She smiles. (Hum dil de chukhe sanam is playing is the background). She is holding her mangalsutra, looking at her mehendi. She sees Dev, and she smiles then hide her face. Dev says why you are hiding now. I am the one who has all the rights on you now. (I hate lines like that! Eek) Dev says listen! Radhika stops. Dev says your Kanha hamari Jodi banayi hai. That's why when you are close I can sense your presence. I can hear your steps from afar. But today I have come to take you. I have waited a lot for this day. Dev is about to touch her face. Radhika closes her face. He stops and says phir bhi I will wait till all the rasams are completed and I am allowed to touch you, till then I will wait. He turns to go but his rakshasutra tangles with Radhika's shagun ka kangan. They stare at each other. Dev says even these innocent bangles do agree for us to stay away from each other. Dev says I will have to go. Every minute till suhaag raat will feel like years and years. Radhika is smiling coyly; Dev says perhaps this wait is a test for our love. I couldn't resist and I came here. I wanted to tell you I love a lot. Radhika closes her eyes. The door opens.
(Nahhhhhhhiiiii.......) Vishaka enters and there is no one else. Dream sequence tha. Radhika is shocked to see Vishaka.
Precap: Mrinali says that as dowry they got snacks, paapar etc. Chachu says if people see this they will laugh at us. We will have to take it quietly. Dev and Dadi are listening to this. Mrinali says it not only that but our reputation will get a blow. After all dowry is the bride's value.
