Thank you very much!!

Thanks Sonia. That movie has beautiful songs and I like the song "akhiyon ke jhorakon se". I will see if I can use this for one of my VMs. I use a song if I like its music and lyrics. Lyrics are an important part for me. But sometimes even if I like a song, I am unable to make a VM on it if I cannot find scenes for it.

Myra, thanks. I really like the description and am happy that you liked them to this extent. There is a big difference in CB1 and CB2. Even CB1 was flawed especially after the first year, but they really had emphasis on these two characters. In CB2, there was no attention to Dev's character almost from the beginning even though it was a love story.

I liked the lyrics of this song as the first two lines translate into "I am a planet and you are a planet and we will meet again in the world of stars" (assuming this is the right translation of the word Saiyaara). Also some of the lines perfectly suit Radhika where it talks about Dev being an answer to her prayers or being the one who taught her to believe in herself. Also the song has a dreamy as well as sad part to it. So I felt that it suited Dev and Radhika of CB1.

This VM is titled "Star-crossed"; the phrase first came from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. It represents two people who have strong connection to each other, yet there are outside forces that try to keep them apart.

Hi Angie...this is the first time that I have ever listened to this song. By the way does this Tiger movie have Salman Khan in it? Somehow I remember a movie with Tiger in the caption and Salman Khan's picture associated with that caption.

Coming to your VM, this song does suit Radhika more. You have again matched the perfect scenes with the song's lyrics. I also liked the VM that you posted before this one.

My next VM is based on a gazal by Jagjit Singh. It is "Koi Fariyaad" from the movie "Tum Bin". It is a long gazal (about 9 minutes). I thought of Dev of first few months of CB when I decided to make this VM as it suited him. Also I ended up watching few scenes of first 80 or so episodes I had not really watched before. There was a difference in quality of CB1 as it was shown in first few months. There were details given to characters that were not shown later on. Also I wondered why was the need to show that burning track. Amma was shown pretty much an evil woman even in the first few months as she was shown to be this ritualistic woman who had no remorse in committing any wrongs to achieve her goals.

I have titled this song as "An Entreaty", a literal translation of "Koi Fariyaad". There is one poem by Edith Nesbit that I liked. But it applies to Radhika rather than to Dev whereas the VM is mostly from Dev's perspective.

Entreaty (By Edith Nesbit)

O LOVE, let us part now!
Ours is the tremulous, low-spoken vow,
Ours is the spell of meeting hands and eyes.
The first, involuntary, sacred kiss
Still on our lips in benediction lies.
O Love, be wise!
Love at its best is worth no more than this--
Let us part now!

O Love, let us part now!
Ere yet the roses wither on my brow,
Ere yet the lilies wither in your breast,
Ere the implacable hour shall flower to bear
The seeds of deathless anguish and unrest.
To part is best.
Between us still the drawn sword flameth fair--
Let us part now!

Following is the VM "An Entreaty".

Misti, thanks. Yes, this one suits Radhika more.

Yes, this song is from the same movie. I have not seen this movie, but heard this song a month ago. I liked the first couple minutes of the official video and I liked the lyrics and the tune. Since Radhika came immediately to my mind, I made it.

Myra, thanks. I found the lyrics to be bittersweet. There was hope in the song but it was about meeting in a different world at some point in future. But the presence was all about separation. So I liked it for that reason.

Most of fans were upset with the 5-year leap especially when they had only shown Radhika suffering and all culprits going free. For no reason, they made Shantanu a murderer out of blue. Instead the track was supposed to be struggle between two brothers. Then on top of that, they made Radhika suffer for 5 years and then totally dumbed down Dev. As you said, they could have made a separation of just a year or so. But they were obsessed with bringing in a Vishaka type person. What they couldn't do with Vishaka, they tried to do with another woman.
