Hari, this VM is for you based on your song "tere liye" from the movie "Veer Zaara".

I have interpreted this song from the time of Dada manipulating Radhika to just before the marriage of Dev and Radhika. In my opinion, those are the scenes that fit Dev and Radhika the most. Now since there are limited joint scenes of Dev and Radhika during these episodes as Barkha was the lead. So there is one scene which has been repeated again because that was the only scene I could find that fit the lyrics.

Also I have added dialogues in the beginning to give more of a story to this VM as otherwise VM was coming across as little bland. Hope you like it.

The title of this song is "Undying Love". It is taken from the song of the same name by Eddie Cochran. He was a rock and roll musician whose songs were popular in 1950s and 1960s.

Following are the lyrics and link of that song.

Undying Love by Eddie Cochran (from the album "Singin to My Baby & Never To Be Forgotten"

You're the world to me, until eternity
It will always be, undying love
As long as stars will shine, I will call you mine
Till the end of time, undying love
Please don't ever leave me, grieve me, deceive me
Never let me go (never let me go)
Try to understand me, commend me, demand me
I'll always love you so
You're the world to me, until eternity
It will always be, undying love

Following is the VM "Undying Love"

Yes, Neerja. this one is based on Amrita Pritam's book. Also this is one of the few instances where the movie is better than the book. They showed more history of that time and also their characters of Ram (Urmila's character's fiancee) and other people had more depth. The book was more bland than the movie. So really credit goes to screen writer/writers who wrote the movie. Also I believe that Dwivedi was the director too.

Chalhov, thanks. They really brought down Dev in that Barkha track. They could have still redeemed the track by showing him realizing his mistakes. But writers thought that the character of Dev was insignificant. So they showed us that joke of an apology whereas Kanha was shown saying that Radhika suffered because of her mistakes. But then these writers were not the one who created characters of Dev and Radhika and seemed to have no love for these characters.

I am watching the episodes on Smile this week the sindoor scene and the second marriage pheras which the family wanted so that he can remember everything and how Radhika took him and Dev to the temple and Radhika brings out Rohan,s truth in front of Dev and Rohan pretended to bring them together and cheated Dev earlier Dev wanted to sacrifice but when he knew that Rohan is deliberating cheating he refused to give up Radhika and started fighting back though still he was not fully prepared and when Rohan started insulting him at every step and Suhaag raat incident finally made him kidnap Radhika.

That Dev made sense who genuinely thought that Rohan was better than him. So obligations were not his sole reason. He wanted the best for Radhika and mistakenly thought that being RPtain and DIL of this family would bring happiness for Radhika. He was wrong but he was also being selfless. When he realized that he had misjudged the family, not even wishes of Dada made a difference. Also he didn't want unworthy person to be made RP even if it was Dada's wishes. That Dev was changed by the latter writers and creative team.

I liked you using the insulting dialogues of Rohan and Radhika coming and putting medicine and bandaging his hurt it was symbolic physically and mentally and liked the song from Radhika's perspective when she always gives physical and moral loving support to Dev which he likes very much and gives his heart 'sukoon' acts like a balm both to his physical and mental hurt. Lovely VMs Angie and very good selection of visuals for both.😃

Thanks. This song was from Radhika's point of view. Once she realized Dev's treatment, she wanted to give him hope and comfort and she did. That is the Radhika and Dev for whom I watched CB2 and where I kept on hoping that they would be brought back to the same level after a point.

Also the one you made on Rohan Dev and Radhika liked that the orge and the princess one.😛
Thanks. Misti chose a very funny song for that and there were enough scenes for this song as this song needed scenes from earlier episodes. Rohan was always the part of Dev and Radhika story. He had perfect expressions of a manipulative evil character who also was very entertaining.

Hari, thanks. I think most of us wanted to see original Dev and Radhika. Radhika still was kept consistent to an extent but then at the end even she was changed as from Sawre ke sang rachi (Dev), she became this one-dimensional Kanha devotee. Of course, less said about Dev the better.

It is hard to get any show these days where it is consistent from start to end. There was only one show and that got closed because of low TRPs. So this obsession for short term ratings has resulted in bad quality and killing of good stories.

Angie, always when I remember Dev's character in CB2 I censor my mouth as much as I can. And Radhika at first was gud, but since when those whose name shouldn't be mentioned came, the started to make Radhika one dimensional and fnally she was made any thing but her saware ki rang rachi😡😡. I am keeping that to a side for now.

and yes coming to shows... I don't know which show u are talking abt, but there was one show in a new channel to which I got addicted after CB ended becoz it shows what in reality was!!! but the channel which was 'Not Okay' at all ended that show despite its superb story line and consistency and gud way of production saying that it had low trps.

but still I had no regrets becoz, the show was superb and made a gud place in my heart after CB. and One thing I can't stop from praising is... though they had veyr low time to wrap up, the show makers didn't leave any stone un explained and they showed every character equally and explaine every thing till the end, though it was rushed it had a perfect completion. 😊 which makes me remember of CB2 which had the most imperfect ending 😡🤬

Hari , loved all your emoticons, specially the censored one which are glaring at face ...Hari as going through the old posts , it as the same story in the end ...They took viewers for a ride second time ...when they did not do the justice first time , how was it expected the second time ..

Hi Angie, Very nice VM. It felt so good to see to some of the emotional scenes after my hiatus when the storyline had some sense. I had really liked Avinash in these scenes...his eyes spoke volumes. You have connected the essence of the lyrics and scenes very nicely. However, I thought the last post-poison scene did not fit in the VM as I thought in this VM you were capturing Radhika's perspective when she was asked not to marry Dev and stay away from his life... sorry for the last comment, but it was my first impression after watching this VM, and you know it is so easy to be a critic;)

I think it's best VM made ??by you, Angie. You started with the moment most tense, dramatic in the life of the lovers(Dadaji decision) and you're finished with that scene full of tenderness and love. The song is superb, and lyrics poem suits the scenes that you are chained. Thank you so much!

Thanks Neerja. This song to me is more Dev who used to express his need for Radhika. Radhika did not need to do so as she was quite confident about her love. Dev was the one who used to make mistakes with Radhika. Then he would tell her over and over again that he loved her the most and wanted her to reassure him about her love as he was insecure about her.

Ami, thanks. I too liked Avinash in these scenes as his expressions made me relate to Dev's character more than the lines given to him. He is a very good actor and he does have very expressive eyes.

Ami, thanks for the honest feedback. I don't mind your comments at all. Actually, I welcome criticism because sometimes it is difficult to judge your own work especially when you have spent so much time watching the same scenes over and over again in order to fit them with the song. Sometimes I lose patience and just finish it even if I am dissatisfied. Sometimes I feel satisfied but later on find out that it has not come out the way I interpreted it. So if someone gives a constructive feedback, it helps.

I had some difficulty with the last part as I did not know how to end the VM. There are very few joint scenes from the time Dada manipulates Radhika to the time she and Dev get married. So I ran out of scenes. Then I decided to go with the way the movie picturized this song. There they had met in the end and were just thinking how much was taken from them by others. But despite that, they still managed to be together. So I decided to include this bedroom scene where Dev is pensive. Here he is talking about feeling regrets in not being able to give rights and love to Radhika the way he wanted to do so. So his close brush with death ended up being his wake up call and then he was vowing to Radhika that he would not let his mistakes mar their relationship anymore.

So that's why I ended that way where first he says that people are ignorant when they think that he and Radhika can be separated. Then in the bedroom scene, he is talking about everyone doing injustice to them, but still their love remained intact. So then Radhika is also laying her head on his shoulder where they are sad about what had happened in their life combined with happiness that they were together at last.

Now there was one more scene I could have used here. That was when Dev comes to Radhika to give her prasad after the havan where he had lied to everyone that Barkha was his wife. There too he is trying to tell her that regardless of whatever has happened, they were going to be together. But that was an incomplete scene for me because they were not together. So I tried to make it the same way it was shown in the movie where in the end they were together.

So I started with Dada's manipulations to the ending where Dada was finally defeated by Dev when he broke free from his convoluted teachings. So since Dada was given Purshuttam title by Kanha in the show and was never shown to pay for his crimes, this was my way of showing his defeat. Also I made this song more from Dev's point of view even though Radhika's point of view is also given here.
