You have selected scenes one by one very well, showing Radhika's silent love for Dev , her sacrifice, dedication, her caring only for Dev, since she was only a servant in the house. Poetry and melodie are great, thanks!
P.S. When your mind will be clarified with the right scenes for our melodies selection, I am sure that you will be post .

Thanks, Myra. Yes, we wanted to see Dev and Radhika that were introduced in the beginning of the show. Also no matter how much they inserted their ridiculous stories and artificial characters in the end, it remains the story of Dev and Radhika for me. Also even though I got hooked to CB because of Dev and Radhika of CB1 and Dev was my absolute favorite character there, I am more attached to characters of Dev and Radhika of CB2 as they were more real and complex. At least the way they were shown in the first few months. Of course while making these VMs, I do wish that we were shown complete stories of RB/Radhika/Dev and Chaya/Dev/Radhika.

P.S yes, everyone survived after eating the lunch i made the other day 😃 😆
Whew. You had me worried. I still want to make one more VM on just Bholu and Rohan. At this point, I have no song for them. But next time I will give you advance warning so that you can finish your cooking before watching the VM.

Thanks Cristina. I included the scenes where it shows that Radhika was the only one who couldn't tolerate humiliations of Dev and wanted to protect him. So she was giving him even more love. Also this was the time she truly understood his compulsions. Before she could not understand why he was so obsessed about ruining their relationship. But after she saw his treatment and also got to know him, she started understanding everything more.
I had thought of this poem in regards to Radhika for a while now. But I didn't have a song for this poem. So Misti's song was perfect to fit with this poem.

Friends, here is my next VM. I wanted to make on Veer Zaara song suggested by Hari. But then I saw Misti's song from the movie "Nazayaz". The song rightaway touched me because it has beautiful lyrics and it fit Radhika so much. I had a title and poem in mind for a song depicting Radhika's unconditional love for Dev and this song fit that title. So I decided to make it first.

Hari, Cristina and Myra: I have your songs in mind. So I will definitely make VM on them. But for now, this song made more sense to me.

Here too, I would have preferred a different scene for the last part of the VM. Unfortunately, the scenes are not there because I wanted a scene of Radhika and Dev after the truth about his parents and Dada's treatment of his mother came out. Those are the scenes that come to mind for this song. But the creatives preferred to show Radhika comforting Padma over Radhika comforting Dev. So here I have used scenes from the first half of the show. So to me this VM remains incomplete just as CB2 does.

So this VM uses the song "tujse pyar karte karte" from the movie Nazayaz.

The title of this VM is "How do I love thee?"; the title is taken from a famous poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. It is a beautiful poem that fits Radhika of CB2.

Following is the poem by Elizabeth Browning. There is no need for explanations as lines are self-explanatory. The poem reflects the unconditional love of Radhika for Dev.

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..."
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Following is the VM "How do I love thee?"

Note: Please do give me honest feedback if something is not working. I am always little wary when I add dialogues because they can be overwhelming sometimes. I wanted to add one more scene of dialogues within the song, but decided against it so as not to make it overcrowded. So let me know if it still is coming as busy. The last scene is somewhat repetitive as I have used part of it in other VM. But again there are not much-needed scenes from the second half of the show.

Thanks Angie. Sorry again for the late reply. This song has been there at the back of my mind for some time and it did describe Radhika of CB2 to me. Similar to you I also felt that if they had shown a Radhika-Dev scene after Dev gets to know about his parentage where he is sharing his pain with Radhika and her consoling him, then a VM made on this song would have been complete. Then I remembered Radhika feeding Dev in the cottage and Dev just looking at her and thought that maybe this can be used in place of the scene that was never shown in the show. I realised that you will have to use the cottage scene again to make up for the missing scene. The scene that you are looking for would have made this VM a complete one and for me too this VM gives an incomplete feeling...not because you did not use the right scenes but because the most important scene needed for this VM has not been shown in the show. At that time they focused on Padma and not Dev because that was the beginning of shifting the focus of the show away from Dev.

Now coming to your VM I liked the way you started it...specially the use of dialogues at the beginning because that gave an introduction to the song.I liked the VM and the scenes that you have chosen to go with the lyrics but I do have a question...and it is about the scene that you showed after Virat's dialogues...that clip that you have used has Virat telling Radhika not to serve Dev because he is just a servant...Dev feeling the insult and then Radhika standing up and saying that she has been told that Dev is a member of this family and that is why she is taking care of him...then comes the roof scene where Radhika is trying to give Dev support...the song starts here again and the sentences are "mujhe kya garaz hai ki duniya tujhe kya pukarti hain"...If she is feeling that she doesn't care what names people are using to refer to Dev why is she explaining her reasons behind serving Dev?

Your choice of poem made me smile...I have written a version of this poem for Dev and Radhika of CB1...its in the poem thread (https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/chhoti-bahu-sindoor-bin-suhaagan/1327360/dev-and-radhika. )

Thank u angie for such a beautiful VM and

I always wanted to see the Radhika and Dev whom they showed in beginng, ut as the story moved on they always drifted off from their original characterisation.Expecially Dev... and also Radhika...
Hope I get one show where I can get consistency in characters from start to end with some good developments,

But sadly even though I got one show like that it was ending in a very little time

Neerja, thanks for liking the video. As soon as I heard Misti's song, I could see that it fit Dev and Radhika. This movie is from Mahest Bhatt and I believe Ajay Devgan won a national award for this one.

Misti, no problem about replying late. However, I do like your feedback because usually when I am feeling some problem with the VM, you either are in sync with my own views or you show the area where there is the problem.

This song has been there at the back of my mind for some time and it did describe Radhika of CB2 to me.

Misti, this is a beautiful song and it is so fitting for Radhika of CB2. I had this poem in mind for a while now but did not song for it. Your song was perfect.

At that time they focused on Padma and not Dev because that was the beginning of shifting the focus of the show away from Dev.

Yeah, I was feeling quite wistful when making this VM. I did like that cottage scene. I don't like to repeat entire scenes. But that was not the sole reason as that scene was indeed beautiful. I did use it as a substitute though. The main reason was that I wanted to use the scene you mentioned. I did think of using that Radhika putting ointment on Dev's arm scene. But that was meant as a carrot for viewers to pacify us and didn't have the feel I wanted for the song.

The real scene of him sitting in the window feeling alone and betrayed (that too was such a short scene) and then Radhika coming it to comfort him would have completed this VM for me. But...those creatives who neither had respect for characters nor for viewers. Really, what else can one say.

Thanks Misti. You gave the feedback in the area where I thought there was a problem. I didn't quite associate with that line "mujhe kya garaz thi?" with that scene. But the dialogues of Radhika to me were not really fitting the song as I would have liked. In the context of the episode, those lines made sense. Radhika was new to that house and had really no say with only Maheswari supposedly on her side and Dev being the servant. But she stood up for Dev the only way she could. So I included this scene in that context of showing that Radhika is the only one for Dev.

But you are right. It conflicts with the line afterwards. Now that you have mentioned it, Radhika giving tea to Dev, Virat objecting and then Radhika ignoring him and giving milk to Dev would have completed the story. The lines of Radhika were redundant and conflicted the lines afterwards.

I was going for three scenes here. One was Rohan insulting Dev, Dev feeling deeply hurt and betrayed, leaving the room in anger with blood dripping from his hand, Rohan forbidding Radhika to go after him and Radhika going to Dev's room openly and defying Rohan. I cut this scene in half as wasn't sure if was too long for VM.

The second one was supposed to be Radhika giving respect to Dev by giving him tea, Virat forbidding Radhika to do so and Radhika doing it nevertheless. Should have cut that Radhika coming across as defensive. Will change it here.

The third one was Padma forbidding Radhika to go to Dev's room and asking her to take care of Rohan instead and Radhika defying Padma. Did not include Padma's lines as wasn't sure if it would become too busy.

I wanted to show Radhika defying everyone for Dev and giving him love/comfort that he didn't get from anyone else. Hence these three scenes.

Then I wanted the final scene as Dada saying that Dev would have remained a servant if it wasn't for the prophecy, Dev feeling sad, lonely and betrayed from someone whom he had loved so much and Radhika coming to his room and giving him comfort. This is what makes the VM incomplete for me.

Your choice of poem made me smile...I have written a version of this poem for Dev and Radhika of] CB1...its in the poem thread (https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/chhoti-bahu-sindoor-bin-suhaagan/1327360/dev-and-radhika. ) Misti, that was a beautiful adaptation. I must have missed this poem because there was no like on it from me. Your poems lines for Dev matches Radhika of CB2 and the poem meant for Radhika can be used for Dev. Really liked it. Also later on I thought that the poem you gave from Shelley in one of the post is the one I could have used for my "A Dream within a dream" VM. The poem by Poe did not suit Dev in that VM even though it is meant for Dev in sad context. Your poem was the one that matched Dev in that VM even though I like both the title of Poe's poem as well as Shelley's for that VM.
