Dev always took Radhika for granted and so whenever anyone pointed fingers at Radhika, he asked her to prove her innocence, in the process he can prove his trusts on her.
He did that when Bh asked to test Rads and once again when Barkha questioned his trust, he asked Radhika to prove herself, but was DUMBFOUNDED when Rads / Kanha took a firm stand and told him to STOP testing her.
Though this was to guide Dev in the correct path, but it was also for Dev to learn and not take Radhika for granted and always put her through test. He was reminded that Rads may take a hard step once again, and his fear guided him to the correct path.
Dev's belief in Radhika had not only to be strong, but he also needed to learn to support it coz when the main truth will be unveiled in front of the society, they will raise innumerable fingers at Radhika and if he grouches at that moment then he will also take the same stand as Lord Ram and leave her and hence once again put Radhika to misery for no fault of her's.
