Nope, i don't think the track is being stretched. Infact it has not even come to the point of being stretched. They are taking it in a normal pace actually...this pace is needed to bring out the emotions in every character...to explore various aspects.
When Rohan's truth came out, everything was done in single episode, quick and fast...was it liked? No, it seemed absurd! Atleast for me! I was least happy in the manner the things were done back then! I really didn't want Rohan to be punished in such a manner! Whatever punishment did he get back then for harming RaDev so much? Nothing.
If things go fast in a rushed manner, audience can't connect to whatever is happening in the show. So its always enjoyable to go slow and steady than running.
Plus, when has Evil Barkha won after Kanha entered as Rads? Everytime Barkha has fallen flat on ground.
Be it her accusations on Rads killing her, or whether her trying to prove Rads is fake, or her dream of breaking Karwachaut fast with Dev, or faking the bhoot drama to do whatever she wishes to for lifelong...or trying to frame Balram twice! She has never succeeded in any of her plans!
Even now, although Barkha thinks she has succeeded in her plans by saving her skin at the end moment ...has she really? No, she has not. She has become all alone...plus she has added some grave opponents in her kitty! Why will BB or Virat would support her? By Virat's looks it seemed that he can turn the world upside down for destroying Barkha! Virat and BB are the only ones who know about every single deed of Barkha and the moment their day comes, Barkha would be left nowhere. Well, poor Barkha didn't have a choice either. Hadn't she turned the tables on Virat, she would have been trapped by BB/Virat. So the situations that were created...were all for Barkha's destruction. She didn't have an option!
Also Virat needed some good punishment. Although he might not be as big a sinner as Barkha or Rohan (both murderers) but yet, he had added a lot of sins in his kitty by siding with Barkha a many times! So this punishment was suitable for him.
However, had yesterday Barkha been declared guilty...what would have been her punishment? Being divested off from RPtian tag, thrown out of PF and asked to stay in mutt huts, and clean mutts. Well, for the sin she has committed, would this be fine?
No. Virat got the punishment because this punishment is suited to him not to Barkha. Barkha deserves a far much much more worse punishment than this.
Coming to Dev, yes, this character has been dumbed down a lot. Dev in his perfect happy world is not willing to look beyond the superficial boundaries...because the day he did, his entire world would crumble down. On that day, he would shatter down because he would realize that the grave mistakes he has committed!
