These are two powerhouse actors. Whether alone or together, both actresses express all emotions beautifully. Just love them. They can tell a story just with their eyes, their faces and hands. I remember scenes from CB1 where just their faces told the whole story. There was no need for words or dialogue. I remember when Dev was jealous when Rads went out with Keshav in CB1. He was walking around outside waiting for their car. And the glare he gave her when she got out of the car. Just magnificent. And Radhika's look as well said volumes.

Fine actors and deserve every adulation and respect.
Cheers

Thank you Misti for opening this thread ,,Avinash and Rubina + CB are the topic i can go on ...They both have matured and come a long way from CB 1 but their innocence is still their...Both have complex character to play this time , more of Avinash ...Last few days both excelled themselves where both have to express their inner turmoil without saying a word ...Their eyes and facial expressions were enough to convey to viewers what they wanted to say ...Have not seen this kind of talent in current lot , where their eyes are the mirror of their heart ...In the current lot they are one of the best in looks as well as in talent ...Their is freshness and innocence about them
Last two days Avinash was brilliant when he comes to know about the secret of his birth , his anger, pain , shock , betrayal, bewilderment then the look of a lost boy , who was standing alone in spite of such big gathering ...His loneliness , dejection touch your heart ...So i do not have enough words to describe both of them , they complement each-other ...I have watched start of DD then Zee came , many versatile actors came , they both have their place in one of them ...I do not like Hindi soaps , but Avinash Rubina + CB hooked me to this show , and now it appears as if they have put life in to Dev Radhika,s characters ...Have to stp now , these three are the topic , i can go on and just carried away ...Hope Zee and DJ,s do justice with them and give them due which they both deserve ...

Angie ... i would like to reiterate what you said about avinash and rubina's acting the past few days

Rubina was extremely impressive on thursday, friday and you could see the tension radiate from her face

As far as Avinash is concerned, I have always thought he was extraordinary with his dialogue delivery but the past few days have shown us how much he can convey even without dialogues. The range of emotions that flitter across his face as dadaji tells the story of his mom and dad are wonderful to watch

They should definitely win some awards this year ... at the least I hope someone who is big in showbusiness is watching them and gives them a chance to move on to something bigger and better

Rajsri, the first half of the Mahaepisode belonged to Rubina and the last half belonged to Avinash. Avinash had a more difficult job as he had no dialogues. It was similar to Thursday episode last week where he was given minimal scenes and no dialogues. Yet he showed all emotions - anger, helplessness, despair and defeat without saying a word.
Friday's episode belonged to Rubina. She showed this broken girl who has lost all hopes. The way she breaks down in front of Barkha when Barkha wants to take on Rohan was great. Then for the Mahaepisode, she breaks down in front of Dadaji as he is her last remaining hope for saving adharam as well as Dev. Her entreaty to him when she wants him to stop Dev's humiliation as well as relief that finally Dadaji did that was also very good.
Their scenes from last week and this week should be used to nominate them for awards. I do not understand why the awards for best actors/actresses in Indian TV industry always go to the leads of top shows. Each category is different from other category. So even if writing doesn't get the award, the acting should get it. In fact, I have to appreciate these actors more (Avinash and Rubina) as in the past they have been given atrocious script and still to act with those limits deserves accolades.

Misti - thank you for this post:)👏
I will admit both Avinash/Rubina have grown as actors. Since they left PH... they both were a pleasure to watch as Dev/Radhika. More matured since CB1... 😃
I hope going ahead CV's give them some good scope of proving themselves😊

Misti, thank you for this post.
Avinash and Rubina have been perfect actors, who with the time have grown. I am a new member. But I did watch CB1. But did not know anything about the IF. But now, I know.
I have never been hooked on any show before. It was CB, which got me hooked. It was not the story but the leads, Radhika and Dev, to whom I was drawn. I watch the show for them. As I read in the thread, yes they do have the x factor, which draws the viewers to them for their mind blowing acting, voice modulations and expressions. Kanha bless them, they will reach the moon and stars.

Thank you for this wonderful post Misti.
Many in this thread have already written what I would have written about Avinash and Rubina so I will try not to repeat.
I had never watched any Hindi soap before CB1. So I have nothing to compare it with. But I can tell you Avinash and his portrayal of Dev was a major factor in reeling me in. I started watching after the first wedding in CB1. Avi's acting during that period was just superb. I could feel his pain and could totally sympathize with his character. I would urge all Avi fans (we fondly called them "Avians" during CB1) to read this thread from July 2009. (Blokes' description of Avi is very interesting)
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/chhoti-bahu-sindoor-bin-suhaagan/1223031/avinash-sachdev-an-actor-par-excellence
You can see that from very early on he had cast a spell on the viewing audience. If any of you Avians get a chance, you should read the loads of posts in CB1 forum that are dedicated to Avinash 😉 Searching them through the 750+ pages will be a daunting task though.

In CB2, the scene where Radhika nurses his blisters was the most touching for me. The way he just stares at her... so poignant! This guy, who grew up without a mothers love, does not really know the meaning of unconditional love is so much in awe of Radhika and her actions at that moment. As if wondering to himself - is this real? Avi excels in emotional scenes because his emotions look very sincere and real and that is why we are able to connect with the character he is portraying. Very Often in the CB1 forum people used Avi and Dev interchangeably. The lines between real and reel were blurred and that is a hallmark of a good actor. The best scene I liked in CB1 was when Rads and Keshav go on their "date" and Dev is outside waiting for them to return. The range of emotions he showed in that scene were mindblowing. From worry, to anger, to jealousy to hurt to relief ... all this in that one look, that long stare ... oh I can still go back and watch that scene over and over again. Another one that stands out was when he returns from Phool Bangla and is lying down with his head on Dadi's lap and she tells him the meaning of Radhika's actions is that she loves him. His expressions in that scene were a treat to watch. He was blushing and happy as though all that was real. I can just go on and on about CB1 and its memorable moments related to Dev & Radhika and Avinash and Rubina.
Rubi was raw in CB1 but she had an innocence and charm all her own. The beauty of her acting was the fact that she was not a seasoned actress and that lent a certain raw earthiness to her character of Radhika. It caught our attention and whether we agreed or disagreed with the character, we were emotionally attached to the character. I am very sure had a seasoned actress played the role of Radhika, we would not have gotten so attached to the character.
At this point Rubi has it all. She has blossomed into a very fine actress. She has refined her skills without any formal training, which shows her dedication to her craft. We saw her range as an actress when she played the role of Imarti who was totally opposite of Radhika of CB1. Her Radhika in CB2 has a totally different flavor. Even though the CVs goof up by repeating the scenes of CB1, Rubina manages to keep the distinction between the two Radhikas. She is a natural beauty who is comfortable and gorgeous in both western and ethnic avatars. She has a keen sense of style and always manages to have her own trademark look without imitating anyone or following any common trends.
Above all these two are gorgeous human beings, inside and out. Just like the characters they play... A bit of innocence, a whole lot of charm and an ability to embrace you and make you feel like you have known them all your life.
Thank you Avinash and Rubina for all the joys you have given to a lot of us through your portrayal of Dev and Radhika.

Thanks Misti, great post first of all...👍🏼

Coming to Avinash and Rubina, where should i start, okay i will start with Avinash...😉😛😳❤️

Avinash although having a very complex role is just stealing the show with his powerful and natural expressions, his eyes are like the ocean of emotions...

He is one actor that dont need dialogues to pull off a scene but the ways he emotes and uses his eyes reflects how he is feeling, his facial expressions along with his voice modualtion is the best in the business, its time ZeeTV give him some awards for CB2 because by far he has the most difficult role of all zee actors to portray and he is excelling in each frame.

Once scene that from yesterday episode that brought tears to my eyes just because of aavi's brilliant work was when padma said that her husband maintained a relationship with Chaaya despite being married to her and the result of that is standing right in front of her, Dev just closed his eyes at that remark and the tears started flowing then he opened his eyes and his facial expression was of someone in despair and pain.

He is an actor in his own class for sure, simply the best! I applaud you Mr. Avinash Sachdev..👏

Rubina, the actress who fits any scene and can portray almost anything!!!

Ruby has come a far way since the first season of CB, she has developed into a fine actress and one whom facial expression is the mirror of her soul, just like avinash her eyes does the talking and she is also very good at emoting.

One scene lately that i liked with her, it was in the ME where she told Rohan what love! Rads is very innocent but not weak so when she goes into tigress form is always worth looking at over and over!
The way Ruby switches from one emotion to another is superb, Avina complement eachother very well and we r seeing the beautiful result of it onscreen!

CB1 belonged to them and CB2 is no different, they are the soul of the show!

I wish them both success in every arena of life, they r two superb actors with stunning personalities...

Dear Misti, thank you for much needed appreciation post of AviNa. Yours & everybody else appreciation on AviNa is the result of the finest performances of talented actors AviNa. 👏...At times their silence is their work of art. And probably that fine art kept us pulling to them and we wanted & expected more from them which they kept on delivering to us either with their silence or with their voice , but however they performed they kept us glued to the small screen. Now I am not even interested in watching any movie on big screen anymore.
What can I say about them. They have stolen our hearts through their powerpacked perfomances, and their charismatic presence on the screen & of course their eyes & their smile. We started to see their hard work in CB1 & continued in second season and both of them have surpassed our expectation in CB2 with their memorable perfomances. They have exceled and exceeded in bountiful leaps in acting.👏👏
Thank you all FM for penning our thoughts on AviNa in your wonderful posts...

dg86 hope you would not mind , here is what Bloke had written in this thread ...That time i was not in this forum , but i agree with her ...
... If there is one thing that keeps me coming back to Choti Bahu is definitely Avi's acting. He emotes beautifully and looks good contorting his face in every emotion. I sincerely hope he makes it to the big screen soon. And it is subdued and never over done. I have watched the way he acts so naturally with his "grandma", with his brother, mother, Mrinalini and Birju. Of course, his scenes with Rads are amazing.

He has the body structure of a young Amitabh, but by far handsomer. He has the "pretty" looks of Shahid Kapoor with the clean jawline of John Abraham- makes for a great screen presence. His dancing needs work- that dream dance during Holi with rads was stiff. But, like Sanjeev kumar, he can work towards an amazing acting career without having to shake much of a leg. His body language and poise is wonderful.

All the best Avi, hope to see you in a film soon.
