Sanaya Irani set to play a bride

After 'Chhanchhan', Sanaya Irani has been roped in to play a young Rajasthani bride in Colors' upcoming show, 'Rang Rasiya'. 'Rang Rasiya', produced by Saurabh Tewari, will be broadcast in the same slot as Bigg Boss, once the reality show's current season ends.

Sources close to Sanaya told us that 'Rang Rasiya' is about a young girl, Parvati, who believes deeply in the power of love, and what happens when her paths cross with a man who doesn't. The crew has been shooting in the harsh terrain and climate of the Rann of Kutch as the story is set along the border of India.

Will Sanaya be able to match the success of 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' with 'Rang Rasiya'? Watch this space.

Thankyou everyone ...sanaya is looking gorgeous 😃 , she seriously owns red ! The name of the character is lovely too ...parvati , suits her character and the background of the show . BTW though sanaya is dressed in red , she is not dressed as a bride ! Brides in rajasthan wear a particular kind of bangles ...I think sanaya is dressed in her character that's all .

Run of kutch is beautiful ...one wish list has come true , love the desserts of rajasthan ...

I was reading an old interview of Saurabh Tewari taken by TB before the launch of Do Dil where he said that his signature style is presenting his shows as larger than life and with a very cinematic look, so hoping their DOP does an amazing job.

Hi Sunara,

I have been busy spamming other forums 😆 Just wanted to stay away till the promos were out on the channel but stumbled back today and could not hold back seeing the new look, which looks good! and different from Khushi and CC. Was trying to steer clear of the show, the speculations and not form any opinion of it before it actually airs. Learnt from the CC debacle. So I may disappear once again. 😊

Looks like you guys have been having a blast here. The back drop seems intriguing. I just hope they have a decent story to back everything up. Looking forward to giving this a go. What is the tentative air date, any ideas?

Diya, does he only write dialogues or is he a story and screenplay writer too?

As far as I know, only dialogues ... I first heard of him wrt Maryada, which was combination of Waseem Sabeer as director and RS as writer ... the same team did the first few months of Veera. Both shows impressed me tremendously with their direction, the meticulous attention to detail, and also closing all the loops they opened. And the dialogues were always brilliant, power packed, yet non-filmy. I followed both the shows very regularly, and enjoyed them both.

He does dialogues for BV and DABH too ... while I don't like DABH, and find BV very slow, but I actually like the dialogues in BV a lot ... each character is very well defined. I don't follow DABH at all, so don't know about that, but have heard similar reports ... attention to detail and closing of loops. The director is different for the latter two shows, so I guess RS does have more input than only dialogues. He might also be partly responsible for screenplay ... I hope so ... he will bring all that to RR as well.

The only caution is that he doesn't seem so great for romance ... but if GH and LM are now associated with Nautanki, hopefully they will fill that gap.
