Talking of epicness Sonu. Remember Ashar's dialogue in the final episode: "I would have never approached you after what I did to you [because it rendered me unforgivable] had it not been for our daughter who needs her father and mother in her life. [So bear me for her sake]." Now how epic is that! Without even asking for an apology, he earned one! Compare this to Arnav's superficial "I am so sorry for what I did to you." Yeah right man. You can keep that apology for some other time when it can have some impact. I mean seriously.. what the hell was that?! Oh well no wonder why I never felt IPK was an epic show.

Coming to ChanChan, the show was doomed from day one. How did the casting team even pick Farhan Khan? With my zero expertise, I would have rejected him after his screen test. That goes to tell you so much about how well-thought out this show was. Then the writing... ChanChan was supposed to be a modern, strong, well-developed character. She didn't create that impact. There an endless list of flaws when it comes to writing, Sonu. Hence, I believe we cannot blame it on actors unless we are picking out Farhan. See you just acknowledged that you did not like Sanaya's performance despite the fact that we saw her portray Gunjan and Khushi with perfection. So it's not Sanaya but the writer. The same goes with Anuj. I believe he delivers more than what his character Manav is given. So to me Anuj is a good actor unless I later see him an an author-backed character and he disappoints me. I could not tolerate Barun in his Sony show. I did not follow the show but watched few episodes here and there. I wondered if we could even classify him as an average actor so I was shocked and disappointed when I heard it's the same guy playing the lead in Sanaya's next show post MJHT. But then he pleasantly surprised me...

The reason I asked if you followed ChanChan or not is because it partly explains why you wouldn't appreciate Manav as a husband much. If you didn't follow the show regularly, you wouldn't know how awesome he was as a husband. But I totally understand why you'd be disinterested in following the show..

@ bold: awww u summed it up so beautifully ❤️ the acceptance of the wrong he did and doing everything in his power to set things right yet never imposing himself / the relationship on her or never even expecting her to forgive him is what redeemed him in our eyes... the dialogues of the show were exceptionally beautiful ... i remember a few people being disappointed with how the show ended but i found it very befitting ...the road to recovery was shown gradual...u don't just see ashar and khirad going to be like they used to be back then ...the show was just so so beautiful. and captured the essence of human emotions beautifully...now that u bring it to my notice once again i realize how flawed ipk was ...even if i feel like revisiting the show i prefer watching the show in isolation...when u view it in a flow the flaws become all the more glaring...

i personally enjoyed barun's stint in bhpk...the show had absurd tracks but the humor was good ... probably u've seen the not so good portions ...that happened to me when barun had just been signed on for ipk and i watched this one video which i didn't like at all and i was so skeptical abt him ...but now that i have followed a good amount of the show thanks to my friend shilpi who goes through all the trouble of screening the good scenes for me ❤️ ...u may write him off when u first see him but with time he grows on u...well ur right abt writers messing it up there is only so much an actor an do ...i guess i was too arrogant to think actors could rise abv the script ...well now all hopes pinned on her next...

May be samrat or Manav,, But nvr ASR,,,,
I still get scared to think the way he treated Khushi,,, I just wish no one gets to marry a man like ASR,,, He nvr felt sorry for his deeds,,, n evn after getting facts correct,, he was all in for forcing Khushi to give in,, he nvr gave her tht required space... Moreover i guess Khushi was more at fault,, She nvr stood up for her self respect n dignity,,,, i would say i nvr liked both the characters ,, they were larger than life,,, not evn a single trace of reality in them,,,

Lol i know that this isnt the place to talk abt all this,,, but plz bear with me,,

You know, Sonya. All three were different stories. Sanaya's characters in all 3 shows was different. So you can't compare who was better. Because Samrat was really young, he was just a kid,and even with a 3 year leap, he was still only 25-26. Guys that age aren't very mature. Arnav had baggage that no man should have to carry. He cam with his own demons, and he was nothing like the cheating self-obsessed man from Sheher-e-Zaat. I was really disappointed when Mahira(can't remember her name in the show) went back to him. In the original novel, she divorces him and lives happily ever after. Arnav was self-confident in his professional life, but he was extremely vulnerable about his personal relationship and had trust issues. So there you have a point, as much as we may love his Darcy-ish character, it would be difficult to live with. Manav is a happy go lucky person . No personal issues ,ideal home life, pampered son, absolutely no baggage. But if you see the recent episodes, you realize that he is a little insensitive. Esp at the beginning of the Rupali track. Remember? Now to come to your question, on-screen, I love Arnav and Khushi's love story, but in reality I'd need therapy if that happened to me. Samrat is too much of a kid, and at times, so is Manav. Plus Manav comes with a crazy family. So if you were asking me, my answer would be none.

I just went back and saw all the discussion on Ashar-Khirad. They were the best. And you guys have a point, Pakistani shows have women with self-respect, strength, and the absolute lack of any neediness for a man. No matter how much they love him, they see all his flaws and call him out on them . You see it in Humsafar, in Meri Zaat Zaara-e-Benishan, in Daam, in Shehr-E-Zat, and recently in Kankar .No running back willingly into his arms. I wish Indian TV would evolve enough to show strong women. Our "strong" women are the ones who deal with stupid MILs, evil plotting in-laws, jealous step-siblings and husband-stealing crazies.

ASR...I'm biased towards Arshi/Sarun...ASR hurted Khushi a lot but it's all b'coz of misunderstandings & his horrible past & later he became good husband 😊
I don't knw abt Samrat...Manav is also good husband 😊
