I didn't like the attitude especially lately!! I think Samrat takes the cake for me!! Because even with his sister in the picture , Gunjan was still the most important person in his life!! He was very loyal , supportive and trusting towards her!! He had his own insecurities but I don't think he ever raised his voice at her!! :)

Shreya

totally agree with you Shreya...😊.here many ppl have not seen the MJHT and Sajan's bonding so they dont know abt their relationship..but the fact is...Samrat clearly wins this poll...there was no one in his life more than important to his chashmish...he always took a very good care of her and her happiness..his first preference was only and only his chashmish's happiness...arnav and maanav are good at their own place...but they are not like Samrat...arnav khushi fans should watch MJHT..in whole show they remained Gf, BF..but still their relation was based on unconditional love and trust...there was only one scene of Sajan as husband & wife but it showed how beautiful and lovely their life was....when Gunjan woke up n said to him.."Alarm bajne kyun nai dia..ta k meri neend na tootey he na..." that was soo cute n romantic scene❤️..and he made breakfast for her...Husband like Samrat is a dream for every girl...

Sonu, you live in India right?

Chalo then I too will sit and watch Humsafar carefully all over again some day. The thing about master pieces is that the more you read them, the more new things come to you leaving you with the feeling "oh how did I miss that?"

Oh and about Sher-E-Zaat. Falak's spiritual journey from a self-centered to a more balanced woman was the central theme. Right from the beginning they portrayed her as someone who had zero interest in religion. She didn't even know the basics. She was first portrayed as this obnoxious, insensitive, highly materialistic, self-centered girl who was convinced that she's self-sufficient. She received the blow when she realized that the central attraction of her life Salman dumped her for the most hideous thing she could imagine. That's what her grandma had told her in the beginning that it's God who flips hearts. Once Salman is out of the picture, she embarks on her journey of self-realization. Remember the faqir on the beach who tells her "A man is like a door. He either blocks your way or leads you to light." That really hinted at the central theme. Because she was so obsessed with Salman she couldn't see past him. Once Falak stopped perceiving him as her god (symbolized by smashing Salman's sculpture in the end), she could have him as a husband.

Sonu now I think the reason Pakistani shows (at least the ones you and I have watched) tend to be so meaningful is because they are adapted from novels.

Of course, Arnav Singh Raizada for Khushi.
But for myself, I would never wish to have a husband like him. My self respect wouldn't allow me to live a life with a husband like him, even if he loves me too much! For me, I think its Manav who is the best!

yup i live in india...awww i think u should do that...and i totally agree with u abt revisiting such classics u always end up discovering something new ...
thank u once again ❤️ i failed to interpret a lot of references... probably also how i watched the show back to back without completely absorbing it...just the other day someone had expressed certain doubts abt the show ... i shared your interpretation in her post ...hope u don't mind 😳

yeh the reason why they are good is a lot because they are adaptations of novels and have a well bound script in place...i know Indian shows don't have that luxury but take a show like ipk which i personally felt had potential...they had all the material available they didn't exploit it to it's full potential ...many of us have drawn parallels between the two shows when one show did complete justice to the plot the other failed ...i wonder why our writers just don't try harder at delivering a good product

I believe every other person is different from the other one and the one is best in their own way..things go around them the way they can bear or they deserve..

I wouldn't chose or vote for any person without being Basie or whatever...because being basie it would be always for me Samrat coz SaJan were first on screen couple that become my craze.. considering i love different person n having strong personalities i would vote for arnav for being such person.. where considering things to be ideal i would love to vote for manav :P :P but in real I would never chose or wish anyone of them :P

It depends on one's liking ,view or priorities what they chose among many options.. and everyone would chose what will go along their personality or thinking..you can't generalize things..even majority doesn't mean they are right :)

May be it is not only me who's think that it is not important finding right person ..the more important is being the right person ...

Life can't be compared from fictional characters or incidents..so it is so hard for me to even think or wish for any fictional character :P

I read replies.. It was treat to read mention about Pakistani dramas n their character being a pakistani <3 ..Humsafar n shehrezaat were amazing no doubt considering their positive points the concept n the chracters beside some flaws they stood up <3 Sonia Api whenever you discuss about humsafar Please Do pm me anytym available :P

The narrative from Hadith Really made me speechless <3 I m reading this one for first time n it made me just say SubhanAllah.. Ma Sha Allah !! I would love to write more but thinking this would be not right place to discuss or understand :)

You wrote Samrat didnt get to know about Gunjan's love..not supporting the fact but considering that realization took really late no doubt however he was already fallen in love with her best friend..[you wrote he was fallen in love later n dn proposed her..but i think he had realized late n proposed her while he was already in love with her ..supposing he consider her just a best friend n comes to know about her feelings i m pretty sure that he would marry her coz they always had put each other on priority ] but the fact was that their Friendship both of them don't want to ruin it..or better say it was the only cherishing thing in their life..So considering this fact that he didn't realize that girl's love i don't think so that would qualify him not to understand his wife's feelings...when he was able to know what she is going through when she was paralyzed...or when she lost her sister in accident coz of him..

Manav has no bad memories and a family guy that is the main difference from ASR and Samrat...comparing them would be unfair to samrat n arnav :)

For me Gunjan,Kushi or Chhan Chhan had made these men the real men :)

Coming back to the topic.. Being best doesn't mean that would go with any girl :) ..To compliment that best husband a best wife should be there too :) Like ChhanChhan :) ChhanChhan is more closer to the best girl character so far to me she is not shy reserved neither she is crazy..she is a constant balanced character closer to real today's girl.. ..

For bearing Samrat,You would have to treat him with silent treatment like his chashmish used to do to let him know what is bothering her..

For bearing ASR you would have to adjust your moods according to his mood...

For bearing Manav you would have to ignore him to let him know he is wrong..

For bearing Ashar you would have know that you are going to be torcher of silence n ignorance if something is going wrong even if it's not your fault..

In short you need to be a Gunjan to treat Samrat, Khushi to be with arnav..while for being with manav you have to be like ChhanChhan :)

I wouldn't mention here the Shehrezaat one coz he was indeed just a cupid to connect that girl to God. and there was not much in that to say..

i don't think so anyone would be here like Gunjan to bear childness , kushi to be seffless or ChhaChhan to take things in lighter n mature way So stop wishing for them:P and most important to Love them no matter how much flawless they are :)

Lol i didn't wish to write above line..Don;t take personally Just kidding :P

Wonderful Discussion Indeed done by you guys Enjoyed reading them more :P :)

Can u make a post whom you wish to be a wife like Gunjan, khushi or ChhanChhan ? 😆😳

Definitely its got to be Manav!
Samrat was a good friend and all cant really be sure about the husband part..
And Arnav Singh Raizada, well its all nice to watch the intense love story as a third person but who would really want to suffer through all that poor Khushi did.. Even after the second marriage she continued to suffer and as long as the ghost of Di exists she will continue to do so.. In fact anyone who has gone thru the horror of "looking for a suitable guy" in arranged marriages will know how much a married sister back at maayka affects..

Manav on the other hand is more balanced & grounded and a kind of person anyone would like to spend a lifetime with.. Yeah he's got his flaws but then he's hman..

My vote definitely goes for Manav..

P.S. Congrats to TM and the rest of the responders for a sensible discussion and not turning this into a war zone😊. Interesting topic..

Sonya, I haven't seen that scene where Nani tells Falak that it was God's will that Salman was apologising. That put everything in a different light. And you're right. Even before he cheats, I was like itna kya khaas hai ismein ? I mean, he's inattentive, treats her like a trophy, and he's so self-absorbed. But she's literally worshiping him. And you're right, the show was about Falak and her spiritual journey and the progression of her connection with Allah.
