Great take Diya !

I just read what you wrote in rima's post ...saw that you edited the main post to add that...very well explained and i completely agree. Whatever doubts i had in mind were cleared today. They have reworked the clash and its no longer between good vs evil but between ideologies. I hope they keep it that way. The execution was still patchy today and the point did not come across as well as it should have.

Wanted to add, Supriya really brought up the changed nuance of UB's character very well today. There was coldness and disapproval in her demeanour but the vindictiveness has been toned down.

Hope the video footage is completely forgotten and they do not regress UB back to evil again.

Nice epi. Slowly settling into the 'normal' mode with everyday clashes. I am liking this. Love the attention to detail. Loved how CC did not drag off the kids to the doc by herself. The undercurrents between CC and UB were tangible. In the scene where she calls her first three bahus and not looking at CC asks who removed the neem leaves, I could totally relate. Same with the car scene where she tells CC to hand over the phone to Manav.

Me thinks it is Mukut that Manav and CC sees too.

I am liking the undercurrents a lot ... love the way they are showing them .

When UB told Ranjana that she could not face Chhanchhan, I think she really meant it ... for she knows that Chhanchhan, the girl she detested, had actually saved her relationship with her son ... and for a proud woman to admit her fault is always difficult. She is now avoiding any open confrontations with Chhanchhan, because she can't wear that mask of sweetness any more, she knows CC has seen right through it, and it is actually embarrassing for her .

And those scenes you mention where she avoids talking to CC directly because she knows it will be open argument were equally real ... I too could totally relate to them ...

These everyday clashes are the small day to day issues that creep up in every home ... the first real test is going to be the Mukut Kaumudi problem. And CC and UB will clash again over how to handle it, but their clashes will be private between them ... both will follow their ways in the open ... but the fact of the challenge will remain private ...

Joked apart wonderful post and superb analysis...

Story is going grt and loved dadaji supported cc...

He is gonna play a major role in cc life...

An dregd precap..i guess its mukut or his gf..but sure chamna will knw abt mukut...

Thanks Kaajal ... my net is playing truant, I hope it stays alive a while longer 😃

Yep, Dadaji is CC's strong ally ... he and Manav both are firmly with Chhanchhan, and I'm glad of that ... CC as new bahu going against the entire family would be too SP perfect bahu-ish ... I love the way she takes her husband into confidence for everything ... that is most important for a wife, because her husband is her link to the entire family.

Was waiting for your take Diya. You and Jaya were right about UB yesterday.

UB and Chhanchhan have developed some sort mutual respect but not trust. UB realises that Chhanchhan is good for Manav but not for Borisagar family. So, I guess, this is an end to the 30 day challenge and Sonali and Thakkhar Bhai track. Don't know if these two will be back again.

With their stances clear both Chhanchhan and especially UB can drop pretences...the next phase of gaining mutual trust and understanding of each other's ways has started today. A big storm is going to hit the family tomorrow and the two women who have the same goals in life but different methods will try to tackle it, will this be their first step towards each other or lead to further mistrust of each other's ways? Today's episode was a glimpse of how both women will approach issues and like Dadaji said their thinking and methods need not always be mutually exclusive. They can find a satisfactory middle ground...that is the next quest.

According to me the only explanation for Chhanchhan destroying the evidence and forgiving UB is, she wants to start with a clean slate and not carry over baggage from the past. Chhanchhan is giving this all she got and doing it earnestly, so for that she has to let go of her earlier mistrust, anger and anguish. She also now understands the depth of UB's fears which made her do the unthinkable. Plus Chhanchhan has seen tears in UB's eyes and deleting evidence was her first attempt at making her place in UB's heart and gaining some trust.

Not super impressed with Manav' s drama, but it did manage to change UB's mind and that too rather quickly. Dadaji clearly is in Team Chhanchhan...but will he remain an outside support or ever become Chhanchhan's confidante.

The sagging TRPs have lead to change of tracks, we have quickly come from 30 day track to the crux of the show which is clash of ideologies, beliefs and methods. There is also quite a bit of tweaking of characterizations, especially UB.

P.S. Prabha and Diya, good point about undercurrents and even I thought that from yesterday's episode UB is trying to avoid direct confrontation with Chhanchhan and she is embarrassed to look Chhanchhan in the eye as Chhanchhan has seen her at her worst and it is difficult to face Chhanchhan directly.

To me , this episode was a clash of ideologies and two different schools of thought ...the whole chicken pox thing is abt that. feel this should Have Always been the premise of the show , a more relatable UB and a clash of modern viz a viz tradational thought , rather than good vs evil.

Regarding UB ...I don't think she is the manipulative person she was , anymore. She has accepted CC as her bahu and grudgingly also has begun to respect her but because of her set thinking , is convinced that CC maybe right for manav but not her household.

CC has sort of understood where UB was coming for and has sort of forgiven her ( too soon if u ask me ...) and is now trying to make UB understand that both ideologies can co exist in the same household. She is not being a meek bahu ...

In the last few episodes , I feel CV's have changed UB's character a lot , from being totally black to somewhat grey , where you kinda realise why she behaves the way she does . CC , in my opinion has behaved exactly the way she would have ...if confrontation was what she was after then she would have told the entire family the complete truth.

I feel , CC too has sort of seen the reason behind why Ub is what she is and both have the same objective ie to keep the family together. I think going forward , we will CC tackle a lot of " projects " in the household , the mukut extra martial affair probably being the first one ...pretty sure , the car crash is abt that.

Lets see how this reflects on trp's oing forward.

Guinea ... added an addendum to the main post ... I agree, the cv's have finally brought Umaben round to a more relateable person ... not black any more, and now she has lost the vindictiveness which made her so detestable. Now the clash of ideologies starts ... both women are stubborn, but while CC always respected Umaben, Umaben has now grudgingly started to respect CC too ...

CC is not a confrontational type ... she NEVER was ... she has never been shown to be that way. She believes in plain talking and sorting out issues through directly talking to the involved parties, but politely and calmly ... and that is exactly what she is doing now. She has won the first battle, that of Umaben accepting her as Manav's wife, without even knowing that she was fighting one ... now she goes on to the next battle, but this time knowingly ... she is now fully armed.

For Umaben, from wanting to get rid of CC at the first possible opportunity because of what she THOUGHT CC was, she has now turned to an acceptance, grudging at the moment, but there nonetheless ... that CC is not as bad as she thought, she does respect relationships, not only her own but all ... it's a start, but it's there ...

The nice part is that both women have started to understand each other and respect has crept into the relationship ... grudgingly in Umaben's case for CC, but it is there, and all the more sweeter for it being so hard won. And CC too, now understands where Umaben was coming from ... and is determined to prove her wrong ...

It's a more intellectual battle than the usual in your face saas bahu clashes ... that's probably why the more obvious clash over issues like vaccinations is needed also ...

Missed your post yesterday! Especially the doses of humor you bring in between the lines... Like today, I suddenly got to hear a loud laughter (by myself) at your Raam-Sita reference!

Winds of changes.. very apt title. And for sure, these changes will bring confrontations one after another.. Good to see that Chhanchhan is fighting for the right in every situation without caring how that might cause trouble to herself.

And this is something I like about the show, that CC doesn't compromise with her education and values whatever might be the consequence.. neither does she revolt in a disastrous way.. She is using tricks and also her better-half ( truly a better half in this particular show!) to find an alternative way..

And I am really proud of Manav that, he is also using his education and judgement although he came from the conservative background and continuously living in a conservative atmosphere. He has the guts to stand by his wife when its the right cause.

That makes me conclude that, this show is unique not only from a 'Bahu' perspective, its also a unique saas-bahu show where the 'beta' too has got some bones in his back and brains inside his scalp.

😊

And as expected, your post was bang on!!!

I was little bit confused after watching the episode. .

It was a bit confusing ... the thing to concentrate on is the Umaben-CC talk of Monday-Tuesday. I watched the entire thing at least three times ... what good actors both these ladies are! .šŸ‘ ... and then figured out the nuances. They are all there in that talk ... but they were not emphasized enough ... usually in saas bahu shows or family dramas, the same thing is repeated some twenty times with an audience of fifty people so that the camera pans to the shocked faces five times each ... you can't miss the turning points. Here it was done in a very realistic manner ... but it was a bit too subtle. A couple of dialogues should have been more punchy or repeated a couple of times to make the point clear.

And Supriya's acting changed dramatically in the keys scene yesterday ... Umaben's change was very visible in the Tuesday episode. Today just confirmed it for me ... and the Chhanchhan-Umaben talk filled in all the blanks.

Diya, just read the addendum, it was much needed and brought a lot of clarity to what UB and Chhanchhan are thinking and most importantly what creatives are trying to bring out.
Agree, finally we have come to the point where both women will start their journey towards an understanding and mutual trust and growth of respect, which took some root on Monday.

As well, the whole idea of going behind UB's back and taking the children to the doctor reeks of cowardice. And well, thus far, CC is not one so why show her as a coward now??
I just didn't go for that. I want to see the great clash out in the open field - a face off.

Mukut - he really needs to be taught a lesson in gratitude. In this respect, he is just like UB. They think it is their right to have everyone kneel to their bidding!

Loving Dadaji. Manthan is a reed swaying with the breeze.

Welcome back! Missed ya!

Not cowardice ... CC said in front of Umaben that kids should be taken to the doctor. Umaben left it to the mothers to decide ... CC and Manav told Kaumudi where they were going... she didn't hide what she was doing at all. Have to re-watch ... but I think Dadaji knew as well.

By showing CC dragging the kids in front of Umaben and Umaben trying to stop her, it would have just created a scene for drama purposes ... and not been a good example to set for the children, to have the parents and grandparents fighting over whether or not to vaccinate them. I hate when that happens ... its like using kids as pawns in the adult games on one upmanship.

Manthan is a dissatisfied member of the realm ... he follows UB's dictats chiefly because he has no support to oppose them. But he is quite happy when UB is beaten down ... he's fun to watch šŸ˜†

Mukut ... the quiet ones hold the longest grudges ... he is another dissatisfied member of the realm. Come to think of it, don't think there are any truly happy members, except maybe Babuji, who quietly follows his wife's commands. And Manav, who follows his wife's šŸ˜›
