Was waiting for your take Diya. You and Jaya were right about UB yesterday.
UB and Chhanchhan have developed some sort mutual respect but not trust. UB realises that Chhanchhan is good for Manav but not for Borisagar family. So, I guess, this is an end to the 30 day challenge and Sonali and Thakkhar Bhai track. Don't know if these two will be back again.
Yep, there is some grudging respect for each other, especially from UB towards Chhanchhan. As for Chhanchhan, her trust in UB has been badly shaken, and it will take a while to restore it. And UB knows that, hence her mask of false sweetness is off, she will not try to deceive CC again, but since she also does not like open confrontation, she is trying to avoid any direct talk completely! But all further disagreements will be done openly.
I guess Sonali and Thakkar are done with, since UB has agreed that CC is a good wife for Manav after all. đ
With their stances clear both Chhanchhan and especially UB can drop pretences...the next phase of gaining mutual trust and understanding of each other's ways has started today. A big storm is going to hit the family tomorrow and the two women who have the same goals in life but different methods will try to tackle it, will this be their first step towards each other or lead to further mistrust of each other's ways? Today's episode was a glimpse of how both women will approach issues and like Dadaji said their thinking and methods need not always be mutually exclusive. They can find a satisfactory middle ground...that is the next quest.
Yes, and actually chicken pox is a good example to use! The vaccination is required, but in case anyone does get chicken pox, then bathing with water boiled with neem leaves as well as spreading neem leaves on the bed is very good for itching as well as to minimize the scars of chicken pox! So a perfect blend of traditional remedies and modern ones! All tradition is not bad and everything modern is not good ... but conversely, lot of evils have crept into traditional practices and modern thinking is required to sort them out ... both have their place.
On a side note - that is probably why the TRPs are low! Neither side is shown be be completely right or completely wrong ... hence it is difficult to pick sides here! đ
According to me the only explanation for Chhanchhan destroying the evidence and forgiving UB is, she wants to start with a clean slate and not carry over baggage from the past. Chhanchhan is giving this all she got and doing it earnestly, so for that she has to let go of her earlier mistrust, anger and anguish. She also now understands the depth of UB's fears which made her do the unthinkable. Plus Chhanchhan has seen tears in UB's eyes and deleting evidence was her first attempt at making her place in UB's heart and gaining some trust.
Not super impressed with Manav' s drama, but it did manage to change UB's mind and that too rather quickly. Dadaji clearly is in Team Chhanchhan...but will he remain an outside support or ever become Chhanchhan's confidante.
Dadaji is the right example of tradition giving way to modernity, and as babuji also said, making sure that traditions do not come in the way of the well-being and safety of the family members, and of the family as a whole. Chhanchhan needs the support of Dadaji ... Manav is firmly by her side ... but he can only wheedle his mother on the small issues ... on the bigger ones, she needs a person with more authority. It's good that they are not showing the usual pious bahu who knows everything and does everything for everyone ... she needs support to make changes, and she gets it.
The sagging TRPs have lead to change of tracks, we have quickly come from 30 day track to the crux of the show which is clash of ideologies, beliefs and methods. There is also quite a bit of tweaking of characterizations, especially UB.
I'm quite glad about the change in Umaben, the saas bahu fight was too one-sided and she was too evil. Now the show should get more interesting ... always supposing it lasts long enough to show all they had planned đ I really hope it does ... it is an enjoyable show and for once, evil is not winning all the time, the good is more often shown getting the upper hand here. So much nicer to watch!
P.S. Prabha and Diya, good point about undercurrents and even I thought that from yesterday's episode UB is trying to avoid direct confrontation with Chhanchhan and she is embarrassed to look Chhanchhan in the eye as Chhanchhan has seen her at her worst and it is difficult to face Chhanchhan directly.
