For once, I wish he had used the "umar me badi, zyada duniya dekhi hai" dialogue on Uma. Because MatiLal will clearly never see any wrong in Uma. I don't think it's an accident. Manav probably stopped the car suddenly in shock at seeing his eldest khadoos bro playing Romeo. And I think they won't say anything, but the kids will see their dad/Tayaji and blurt it out at home as kids usually do.

LOL ... you bet ... no antibiotics please! Chhanchhan did say vaccination, so I'm hopeful!

I loved Dadaji ... what he said was so relevant and true ... if Umaben has no problem using gas cookers, and mobile phones and cars and the rest of the mod cons, then why not vaccinations? And chicken pox vaccination was not even available in the days Umaben is talking about ... her MIL did not have the option. She does ... or rather, her grandchildren do.

Matilal has no 'mati' of his own ... 😆
The next track is definitely Mukut Kaumudi ... it has been building up slowly the last couple of weeks. ChhanMan will discuus what to do and probably keep quiet ... how I love this show for showing such a normal couple who actually communicate with each other!

They are all there in that talk ... but they were not emphasized enough ... usually in saas bahu shows or family dramas, the same thing is repeated some twenty times with an audience of fifty people so that the camera pans to the shocked faces five times each ... you can't miss the turning points. Here it was done in a very realistic manner ... but it was a bit too subtle. A couple of dialogues should have been more punchy or repeated a couple of times to make the point clear.

And Supriya's acting changed dramatically in the keys scene yesterday ... Umaben's change was very visible in the Tuesday episode. Today just confirmed it for me ... and the Chhanchhan-Umaben talk filled in all the blanks.

I think they needed to give a proper ending to Monday's verbal confrontation..it was left open ended and then continued in bits and pieces yesterday and today. Most of the people just watch it once and that too not with full concentration...so i guess they needed to spell it out more clearly. Maybe a reflection and monologue from both UB and CC would have helped as to how they are going to approach this from now on.

Agree with you abt Supriya's acting...very well done. In fact today i saw shades of her mom's character in Khubsoorat.

Nice analysis as usual.. Never thougth someone as diabolical as Ub woukd bother to feel embaraased or guilty which she clearly was today..
And they got their medical facts right which really made me happy. I mean i was really tired of watching totally nonsensical stuff wen it came to medical aspects in tv shows..
Dadaji rocks!!!!! I'm liking him more n more everyday..

Nice take!
Episode was good. I'm happy that the CV's have finally brought some changes in UB's character as it makes much more sense now. She is still not nice to CC but atleast she isn't plain evil. Like you mentioned the equation between UB and CC has completely changed after the confrontation, which I think is very good as both understand each others views but are not willing to accept them! CC has a tough job in hand to convince UB that modern ways are also useful to solve problems because UB has been following her principles for years which are not going to change any time soon. I liked the idea of chicken pox that the CV's used to show the two different mindsets.
Ranjana is UB's puppet, she'll always agree with her to stay in her MIL's good books. Poor Kaumudi never speaks up even though she understood CC.
I loved the CC- Manav scene, it's nice to see how CC always tells Manav everything. Dadaji was amazing today with his example which left everyone stunned! 😆
Precap seems interesting, I'm sure it wasn't Manav's car which met with an accident!

Hey Diya, things were made much clearer in this episode UB has finally accepted CC as Manav's wife but not as her bahu, I'm liking this! We are getting the story which was promised to us from the start the clash of nayi v/s traditional soch where neither is wrong. I'm interested to see how CC deals with a saas like UB who is stern to her beliefs and obviously won't change overnight, its going to be a tough challenge but one I look forward to seeing.

I agree that the transition is what left us all flummoxed... both UB and CC changed overnight!!

Agree MANDY its going to be very tough jon for cc to win over Ub's ❤️❤️❤️❤️ as now she seems to have said that even though she has accpeted her as manav's wife nt as her bahoo//as ub defintion of bahooo is difftt..and cc defn of being a baho..for eg yesterday when cc wanted to take kids to doc for vaccination against CHICKENPOX and ub wanted to use all GAHRELLOO NUSKEE..Its toguh for cc but with a sweet doting hubby like manav on her side..its going to be much easier..

Great take Diya !

I just read what you wrote in rima's post ...saw that you edited the main post to add that...very well explained and i completely agree. Whatever doubts i had in mind were cleared today. They have reworked the clash and its no longer between good vs evil but between ideologies. I hope they keep it that way. The execution was still patchy today and the point did not come across as well as it should have.

Wanted to add, Supriya really brought up the changed nuance of UB's character very well today. There was coldness and disapproval in her demeanour but the vindictiveness has been toned down.

Hope the video footage is completely forgotten and they do not regress UB back to evil again.

Capri,
I guess they have re-worked Umaben's character to make it softer ... she did seem like a changed person between the confrontation on Monday and the keys scene on Tuesday. I think the CC-Umaben talk on Wednesday was also to explain to the audience the workings of Umaben's mind ... although Supriya's acting was VERY good and showed the change, many people don't watch so closely, I guess. The talk cemented what I had thought already.

Sanaya although a very good actress, is not as good as Supriya yet ... the change in Chhanchhan with a slightly added touch of firmness came across less obviously to me ... I had to re-watch to catch it. Now Chhanchhan is also more settled in the house, she knows Manav is with her, and she knows that Umaben's attitude has changed, she has accepted Chhanchhan's place in Manav's life finally ... The first phase of a bahu finding her feet in her new home is done ... she is no longer unsure and wanting to please everyone and not rock any boats.
Now the next phase starts ... Chhanchhan can be more herself and voice what she agrees with and more importantly, what she does not ...

I hope the Sonali chapter is over and this new phase is only about the ideological clash ...

Was waiting for your take Diya. You and Jaya were right about UB yesterday.

UB and Chhanchhan have developed some sort mutual respect but not trust. UB realises that Chhanchhan is good for Manav but not for Borisagar family. So, I guess, this is an end to the 30 day challenge and Sonali and Thakkhar Bhai track. Don't know if these two will be back again.

Yep, there is some grudging respect for each other, especially from UB towards Chhanchhan. As for Chhanchhan, her trust in UB has been badly shaken, and it will take a while to restore it. And UB knows that, hence her mask of false sweetness is off, she will not try to deceive CC again, but since she also does not like open confrontation, she is trying to avoid any direct talk completely! But all further disagreements will be done openly.
I guess Sonali and Thakkar are done with, since UB has agreed that CC is a good wife for Manav after all.
😆

With their stances clear both Chhanchhan and especially UB can drop pretences...the next phase of gaining mutual trust and understanding of each other's ways has started today. A big storm is going to hit the family tomorrow and the two women who have the same goals in life but different methods will try to tackle it, will this be their first step towards each other or lead to further mistrust of each other's ways? Today's episode was a glimpse of how both women will approach issues and like Dadaji said their thinking and methods need not always be mutually exclusive. They can find a satisfactory middle ground...that is the next quest.
Yes, and actually chicken pox is a good example to use! The vaccination is required, but in case anyone does get chicken pox, then bathing with water boiled with neem leaves as well as spreading neem leaves on the bed is very good for itching as well as to minimize the scars of chicken pox! So a perfect blend of traditional remedies and modern ones! All tradition is not bad and everything modern is not good ... but conversely, lot of evils have crept into traditional practices and modern thinking is required to sort them out ... both have their place.
On a side note - that is probably why the TRPs are low! Neither side is shown be be completely right or completely wrong ... hence it is difficult to pick sides here!
😕

According to me the only explanation for Chhanchhan destroying the evidence and forgiving UB is, she wants to start with a clean slate and not carry over baggage from the past. Chhanchhan is giving this all she got and doing it earnestly, so for that she has to let go of her earlier mistrust, anger and anguish. She also now understands the depth of UB's fears which made her do the unthinkable. Plus Chhanchhan has seen tears in UB's eyes and deleting evidence was her first attempt at making her place in UB's heart and gaining some trust.

Not super impressed with Manav' s drama, but it did manage to change UB's mind and that too rather quickly. Dadaji clearly is in Team Chhanchhan...but will he remain an outside support or ever become Chhanchhan's confidante.
Dadaji is the right example of tradition giving way to modernity, and as babuji also said, making sure that traditions do not come in the way of the well-being and safety of the family members, and of the family as a whole. Chhanchhan needs the support of Dadaji ... Manav is firmly by her side ... but he can only wheedle his mother on the small issues ... on the bigger ones, she needs a person with more authority. It's good that they are not showing the usual pious bahu who knows everything and does everything for everyone ... she needs support to make changes, and she gets it.

The sagging TRPs have lead to change of tracks, we have quickly come from 30 day track to the crux of the show which is clash of ideologies, beliefs and methods. There is also quite a bit of tweaking of characterizations, especially UB.
I'm quite glad about the change in Umaben, the saas bahu fight was too one-sided and she was too evil. Now the show should get more interesting ... always supposing it lasts long enough to show all they had planned 😕 I really hope it does ... it is an enjoyable show and for once, evil is not winning all the time, the good is more often shown getting the upper hand here. So much nicer to watch!

P.S. Prabha and Diya, good point about undercurrents and even I thought that from yesterday's episode UB is trying to avoid direct confrontation with Chhanchhan and she is embarrassed to look Chhanchhan in the eye as Chhanchhan has seen her at her worst and it is difficult to face Chhanchhan directly.
