Winds of changes.. very apt title. And for sure, these changes will bring confrontations one after another.. Good to see that Chhanchhan is fighting for the right in every situation without caring how that might cause trouble to herself.

And this is something I like about the show, that CC doesn't compromise with her education and values whatever might be the consequence.. neither does she revolt in a disastrous way.. She is using tricks and also her better-half ( truly a better half in this particular show!) to find an alternative way..

And I am really proud of Manav that, he is also using his education and judgement although he came from the conservative background and continuously living in a conservative atmosphere. He has the guts to stand by his wife when its the right cause.

That makes me conclude that, this show is unique not only from a 'Bahu' perspective, its also a unique saas-bahu show where the 'beta' too has got some bones in his back and brains inside his scalp.

Thank you, Golpokobita! 😃
Your last point first ... I agree completely, it is so refreshing to see a 'beta' who is neither a maa ka bhakt nor a joru ka ghulam ... he is trying to balance both and is doing a pretty good job of it too. I love the fact that he is not afraid of going against his mom and supporting his wife .. and that he is educated and uses his brains as much as Chhanchhan does.

It was very smart and wise of Chhanchhan not to take the kids alone to the doctor - she did it with Manav, and with Kaumudi's knowledge - all said and done, Kaumudi is the mother and has the right to make decisions for her child and the other two since she is also the eldest. And if UB has to argue, she can do so with Manav ... a son is always forgiven more easily than a DIL in real life too ... that is the best way to handle these situations!

Most of the people just watch it once and that too not with full concentration...so i guess they needed to spell it out more clearly. Maybe a reflection and monologue from both UB and CC would have helped as to how they are going to approach this from now on.

Agree with you abt Supriya's acting...very well done. In fact today i saw shades of her mom's character in Khubsoorat.

Agree ... Monday's verbal battle wasn't ended properly on Tuesday ... Umaben had good dialogues, but Chhanchhan's were a little vague ... Yesterday's talk between CC and Umaben made things clearer from Umaben's angle, but I think the makers are treading a thin line between making CC a typical adarsh bahu not going against her MIL, to please the TRP junta, and making her more forceful in making her point, as originally planned ... so her thought processes are not as clear. I think they could have avoided that line from CC about not going against her MIL while trying to prove to her that she is a good DIL as well as a wife ... because it's quite obvious that CC WILL go against her MIL on many occasions ... she has already started doing so!

Supriya ji is fantastic ... her eyes are so expressive! Till Monday-Tuesday she had that mocking look and extra sweetness in her eyes and voice, which showed she was doing a drama all the time ... and on Tuesday in the keys scene, it was gone! That was what gave her more the Khubsoorat Dina Pathak touch ... the evil vindictiveness was gone. Now hopefully she will only be the traditional rigid disapproving lady.
If the TRPs remain so low, the show is not going to survive too long, in which case they can go more along the lines of the movie now ...

And they got their medical facts right which really made me happy. I mean i was really tired of watching totally nonsensical stuff wen it came to medical aspects in tv shows..
Dadaji rocks!!!!! I'm liking him more n more everyday..

Thank you! Umaben was clearly embarrassed ... good to see she also feels some human emotions! 😆 I think she had no choice but to give up her plans to separate Chhanchhan and Manav, as they failed so spectacularly, CC came across clearly the winner, and a very magnanimous winner at that! Thoughly embarrassing for Umaben ... she thought she was being diabolically clever, and this chit of a girl had seen right through her!

Medical facts are partially correct ... if the kids have been exposed already, vaccination may be too late, but they can be given gammaglobulin. Either way, CC is right to take them to a doctor.
And the neem baths etc come for cure, not prevention, even in traditional remedies ... UB has it all wrong in this one! 😆

Episode was good. I'm happy that the CV's have finally brought some changes in UB's character as it makes much more sense now. She is still not nice to CC but atleast she isn't plain evil. Like you mentioned the equation between UB and CC has completely changed after the confrontation, which I think is very good as both understand each others views but are not willing to accept them! CC has a tough job in hand to convince UB that modern ways are also useful to solve problems because UB has been following her principles for years which are not going to change any time soon. I liked the idea of chicken pox that the CV's used to show the two different mindsets.
Ranjana is UB's puppet, she'll always agree with her to stay in her MIL's good books. Poor Kaumudi never speaks up even though she understood CC.
I loved the CC- Manav scene, it's nice to see how CC always tells Manav everything. Dadaji was amazing today with his example which left everyone stunned! 😆
Precap seems interesting, I'm sure it wasn't Manav's car which met with an accident!

Krishna, exactly ... the two have progressed from complete dislike and non-acceptance on UB's part to some understanding and tolerance, if not acceptance of the other's views. And CC is now more sure of her footing ... till now, she knew subconsciously she was under trial, and that UB had not accepted her ... but with UB"s mask in place, she was never sure where she stood. Now she is sure of her place ... she is part of the family, even UB has accepted her, even if under compulsion ... earlier she was going along with all the traditions and practices of the house, even if she felt they were wrong ... now she can start to speak up. 😃 As she did promptly in the case of chicken pox. Earlier she would not have contradicted UB so openly.

I love the Manav-CC bond too ... it's so great to see a couple who share everything! That's one of the best things in the show! Dadaji is another 😉

We are getting the story which was promised to us from the start the clash of nayi v/s traditional soch where neither is wrong. I'm interested to see how CC deals with a saas like UB who is stern to her beliefs and obviously won't change overnight, its going to be a tough challenge but one I look forward to seeing.

Mandy, I felt the same ... esp the UB-CC talk when CC asked her why she was throwing them out ... UB made it clear she had accepted CC as Manav's wife but not as BS bahu. And it was good to see CC stand her ground and tell her that she was doing things the wrong way by trying to separate them from the family. By closing her doors and windows, UB cannot prevent the changing wind from entering her house.

It's going to even more interesting now ... just hope Sony gives the show some more time ... 😕 Make that, lots more time ... I really want to see how CC deals with things ahead. Damn the TRPs! 😡

Don't know how I missed your post Dia. especially as I was looking for it...but I guess I got caught up in some other posts which kinda threw me off. Anyway it's good to read your take and know that I'm not the only one who can understand CC's actions particularly her seemingly apologetic demeanor...therein lies her strength.

The episode and each characters reaction was perfect, apart from that mother's first right and son's first right line but perhaps that was for the trp ladies. The thing is that Manav knows how to sweet talk his Mom but had it come to staying at home and leaving CC or leaving home with CC I'm sure he'd make the right decision about who has first rights over him.
I'm confused as to why people don't see the beauty in the simplicity of the CC-UB confrontation and how two women of different generations and upbringing can connect on common ground, in this case it's Manav and love of family that joins them though they are travelling parallel paths at the moment. UB has already accepted that at times she goes too far and that she has nothing against CC personally but fears that CC will break her home ,so how can CC not forgive her when she understands where she's coming from. UB even acknowledged that she had misjudged CC. It doesn't mean CC will forget or not be careful it simply means she has the ability to take hatred out of her heart. UB is still egotistical but I found her words to Ranjana interesting, where although it came across differently she pretty much told Ranjana that she couldn't face CC.
Initially I thought the chicken pox scenario was a little extreme until I read Sunara's post which proves that even in this day and age people do react like UB.
I love Dadaji...so concise and to the point...you have to move with the times. The little ChanMan scene was cute...I love Sanuj😳. I found it a little strange that ChanMan would go off with the nieces and nephew (how many kids are there?? I thought it was just a boy and a girl but another girl seems to have appeared from nowhere, who does she belong to?) and take them to get vaccinated without the parent's permission or knowledge and I hope Manav will take responsibility for that decision.

The pace of the show is fast and that might be throwing people off as I guess they want to see scenes such as CC introspecting and perhaps her thought process as she agonizes over the decision she has to make but as Sanaya said this is a light hearted show (which doesn't mean it's a comedy as some people seem to think) about how CC deals with everything.
I'm loving the flow of the show and I hope it has a long way to go.

Almost time for the new episode, but just had to say ...

I loved your words about what links these two women ... love for Manav and love for and belief in unity and importance of family ... although they are travelling parallel paths at the moment.

And also agree completely about your reading of the Umaben-Ranjana scene ... Umaben basically admitted that she could not face Chhanchhan ...

Vaccination ... Kaumudi is the mother, and Manav Chhanchhan told her, so I guess that does take care of that. And Manav did not need to be persuaded, he also knew the kids needed to be vaccinated.

I am loving the show too ... there is so much to relate to ... hope it stays on air for a good long time

Late arrival...so I maybe repeating a few things already mentioned here...

The story is poised at a place where creatives can really take it up a notch...
UB has dropped her sweetness and facing headlong Chhanchhan as a bahu whose mentality does not match hers and Chhanchhan has her work cut out...she is here to stay but needs the blessings of her MIL to make her place in the family. Supriyaji is doing a fab job of showing the discomfort of UB in interacting with Chhanchhan, Sanaya too is good in facial expressions, but wish she is given better dialogues.

Of course the scene of the day was hospital confrontation...though I don't condone Mukut's behaviour but can understand to some extent where he is coming from...to live like strangers under one roof is nothing less of punishment...there are lot of good people in this world but that does not automatically make them good life partners...both Kaumudi and Mukut are living in their private misery. We will soon find out about UB's hand in this affair.

Doc Mayuri seems to know of Mukut's marriage and kids and has no reservation, curious to know what convinced her to get into this relationship. Life is not black and white, there are many complex relations in this world...hope the creatives are able to tackle this track well, it has lots of potential and if the extension news is true, then they also have time to do this properly without rushing. Plus this is their chance to entice viewers, if storytelling improves.

Two other scenes which stood out for me - the kid calling out to her dad and the UB and Chhanchhan conversation, UB may have a point there but Chhanchhan too should be given something to say, though in this case she might not be out of shock after what transpired in the hospital.

Hope the creatives don't cop out and take the easy route of Kaumudi the idol "bharati nari" and unlike Sonali give Mayuri a story instead of painting her black. Liked that they kept Mukut unapologetic...makes it interesting...and the actor was good in the scene. Anuj did well too.

My two cents...Kaumudi did not hear anything, but she will sense there is a problem...

Showviewer - Am with you in most of your points ... I also wished CC had been given stronger dialogues in the UB-CC confrontation - she should have looked firm and unapologetic, and her tone should have conveyed that as well. Granted she was more worried about what she and Manav had just seen, but she didn't need to worry about what Umaben was accusing her of, or be distressed about it ... she had other things to worry about. That should have come through better.
Manav's reaction was good, the simmering anger and his trying to keep it in check and keep quiet till he and CC could discuss it further.
Umaben was good - she is upset about the changes in her house, but her debt to CC means she cannot express herself openly, and she has had to accept that CC is a good wife. Now all she can do is try to prove that CC is trying to undermine all her rules, and hence is not fit to be a BS bahu.

Mukut-Kaumudi - I liked the hospital scene, the way Mukut defiantly owned up to his affair. Also noted the way he said almost the same things to Manav that Kaumudi had said to Chhanchhan about the differences between the Manav-CC relationship and the Mukut-Kaumudi one. Both Mukut and Kaumudi are unhappy in the marriage, but don't know what to do about it, since separation or divorce are unthinkable in the BS house. So Mukut has found the easy way out ... but what about poor Kaumudi? Stuck in a loveless marriage where her husband doesn't respect her for her good qualities, and is neither friend nor companion. He has found someone he can share his woes with, but what about her? She has no one in her sasuraal ... Ranjana Sanjana at least have each other.

Mayuri stayed silent ... I think she did know he was married, but maybe he had painted a very different picture of Kaumudi to her - the usual "my wife doesn't understand me" suffering husband ... so she was seeing the other side of the picture for the first time. In the episode she didn't look or behave like a typical vamp, will have to see how she goes ... and how the cv's play out the track. I will be disappointed too if they just make Mukut accept his fault and go meekly back to Kaumudi ... but the way the story is structured about UB realising her mistakes, I think this track WILL expose UB's mistakes in fixing the alliance in the first place. Also this is one of the original tracks of the show, it started when UB said in the first week that Mukut had left home and she had brought him back. So there should be a solid story here. Here's hoping 😛

I have a feeling Kaumudi will think there is a problem between Manav-CC, and will call Mukut to discuss that! 😆 She just overheard them talking about a problem, but not Mukut's name.
