This show is a joke!!!!!!!!! Nothing progressive about it!

I am a Sanaya fan and was so excited to watch her when the show started but it was a huge let down with her mismatched pairing with Farhan. Then my hope for a revival of the show started when Anuj stepped in. It is good to watch the scenes between Sanaya and Anuj as they share a good chemistry and look comfortable emoting together. However, the story line sucks. Umaben's character sucks big time. It is unimaginable how she plays one bahu against another just to have her way and be one up on Chanchan. Chanchan is supposed to be a modern bahu but so far everything about her character is regressive.

It appears that the PH and the CVs banked on big names like Sanaya and Supriya to rake in TRPs but sadly this is not the case. Without a strong story line, Sanaya and Supriya's enormous talent is just wasted on a typical saas bahu story. Have viewers in India not seen this a 1000 times earlier? What is new about this show? The doggies have disappeared and I hope our new ray of hope "the handsome hunk Anuj" also does not disappear soon.

I do feel it is still not too late for the CVs to put their thinking caps on, brainstorm and change the story line for the better.

yeah its your opinion .. 😊

Chanchan is supposed to be a modern bahu but so far everything about her character is regressive.

I really disagree with the above .. where did you find her regressive .. 😲

after marriage she voiced her own modern opinions so many times .. but she did not force it on them.. she wanted to use her own way which she nicely did ..

And im sure she will use her modern or progressive thinking in her possible ways .. I do like the fact that being a modern girl she did not over react that much to get her own way to everything in that house ..

Well, you are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine. I have stated what I feel about the show this far. A huge disappointment to see Chanchan's character relegated to making chappatis, cold coffee, lemon tea and meals for the family post her marriage. The poor girl has not stepped out of the house and I guess Umaben does not believe in padh pheres too lol!

The CVs spent 3-4 episodes on the progression to salwar khameez issue. Now, the honeymoon issue ...oh what a pain!

how can someone survive without making food?.😆...if she dont cook she wont be a bahu at all and modernity is added to it when she executes it in a different way like talking in skype with the help of elder bhabhi and cooking... and making ice tea instead of coffee...
in most of the old indian saas bahu shows these r not shown...sooo we call it as "modern bahu"

Manav's whole family is a joke except the hunk Manav LOL

This kind of regressive, cave-era Neanderthals like UmaBen is not my cup of tea also !
I only watch Sanaya-Anuj scenes and fast forward the other over the top drama !

my mom is as modern as it gets... n she cooks too..
n right now I cannot even make a cup of tea..but i intend to feed me n my hubby one day when i get married..i expect him to do half the work is beside the point..but i also like CC intend to figure out how to cook anything beyond microwave meals n pasta...

anyway CC is the opposite of regressive!

other shows glorify regressive customs..in this they make then LOOK regressive and are dealt with..

Sari - regressive if forced - dealt with
HM - regressive not being allowed, n they r allowed. its another factor it is emotionally blacjmailed out of her
going home - its been 3 freaking days in the show!!! who goes back home that soon? 😲
interaction with in laws - they show not allowing that regressive and breezily break that tradition cz 1st morning itself Simple landed there.. 3rd morning both siblings n friends landed there..

UB says - women's talk n not to tell men. CC directly questions its a family matter they should know too.

3 bhabis fast - CC offers to help them wherein in ANY other saas bahu show i can bet my life on it that the girl would have also started fasting!!

and one last thing//the saas in this will never dare tell CC that she cannot go to her parents home when she pleases or she cannot go out..she might be subtly manipulating.. but the saas would never dare to go for a head on collision.

there r so many of things...

it might be ur opinion.. n u r entitled to it..but for me the least of the faults with this show is it being regressive..
it might not be the best thing that ever happened.. but its not regressive,, at least not to me..

Yeah CC is the story of a regressive family that is over conservative and treats women like shit and a progressive and modern girl enters the house as their bahu and now the conflict of ideologies begin.
It's been just three days after CC has entered the house. She can't state that now all women will work at office or proceed their studies etc and etc.Roti making is not modernism but atleast use of technology is and CVs should be given that credit.Lets see how the story shapes up.So I won't call it conservative unless I see CC accepting those regressive traditions.
CC and Manav's chemistry is amazing.I guess it's my first Indian show where husband and wife are really looking newly married and not behaving like siblings. The romance is sweet and chemistry is sizzling. It was great to see Manav helping CC wear the sari and in the kitchen.Hope he keeps doing the same and supports CC throughout.
So right now I'm enjoying the romance and the bliss of seeing UB's plans failing badly is something that can't be described in words😆especially when she sees ChannMan's romance,so I really am not upset anout Sanaya picking up this shoe, after the entry of Anuj of course.
