Take 5: Ba-ap Re Ba-ap!! - Page 2

Lady J,After seeing the episode, my mind has gone to the far far land in west where the Good,the Bad and the ugly resides. So my take is posted from there and here is what I felt the Good, the Bad and the the Ugly of this episode is.

The Good:- Absolutely loved the sets wherein you have more than 1 room that is functional and can be used for shooting, not unlike the PH that shall not be named which had only 1 room for shooting and the costumes. Actually Sanaya has so many good costumes in the first week of the show that I am really happy that she is coming with this PH and don't even remind me of the horrible wig that is so not here. Alas the good stops here. Side Note :- Loved the interaction of Chan's mom with the friends in the morning after, as I said earlier I am looking out for the side actors too and I was really happy with her performance yesterday.

The Bad:- The script is the boat on which the show sails and you need to have a tight script but here the script writers are leaving so many holes that very soon, the boat is going to be full of holes and I am afraid it will sink before it goes very far. What is with the loopholes man. In the promo Chan's friend was Nidhi, and here she is Purvi - Is she the same girl ? And then Chan's friends are slowly going missing, Earlier there were 3 friends and Chan, then it went to 2 friends and Chan and now it is only simple, purvi and Chan. Script writers please decide how many characters you have. If you have already shown them in the show then please a dialogue as to what they are doing would do a whole lot of good for people who are looking for continuity. Also a dialogue of the groom whose marriage got called off and the family would have been a better closure - wouldn't it. The groom was no where shown, nothing was shown if the family returned the 25 lakhs are not. Don't jump around so much. Take your time and close the loops properly and move on. And a man who can afford 25 lakhs for marriage and has a huge house is now homeless as it seems with the precap - Doesn't look convincing. And once you have taken a stand against something evil such as Dowry, show the ones whose got effected as being strong and not regretting the decision. I am okay with elevating the lead and glorifying the lead as this is Hindi soap but don't give out the lesson that you need to have Chan kind of friends to take a stand against Dowry and that is what I felt yesterday with both Dad and the daughter repeatedly confirming that without ChanChan's help they wouldn't have taken this stand. Not correct. Not everyone can boast of a friend who will always stand by them but people ought to take a stand against this evil and they better do it themselves and for themselves without leaning on or holding on to friends like clutches.

The Ugly:- Can the male lead please enroll asap in some acting school. At least know when to give which expression. You don't laugh when you learn the marriage is called off. Not cool man. And I do hope he improves going forward but I don't have very much high hopes on that. And oh yeah please shave - you are so not looking cool in that stubble/beard. And Umaben is a dictator saas and this serial is a *saas-bahu* show, all the promotion of this being different and progressive not withstanding. And when introducing the new family always start with basics - as to who are the people who stay here and their relationships because it helps people follow the show in a better way. And once again the PH fails in the casting of the bahus for the show with the elder one only looking good(she again is a product of saas bina sasural).

So yes for me too I have religiously followed this show for this week for Sanaya's sake but truth be told, not liking the direction the show is heading for. And actually I expected a family kind of sitcom here but nope sire it will be a saas-bahu takkar with the supporting cast just chipping in and really don't think I can stand it. So it would be record the episodes on a stretch and watch it off in one shot with FF button. And definitely this line goes true for me too

Because if I continue to do this daily, Devi Maiiya ki kasam - AD (asli duniya) mein dil hi nahin, AUR BHI BAHUT KUCH TOOTEGA.

Seriously I need help out here yaar. Why does the BG in the show go 'Tohfa Tohfa' when Umaben and Manav talk. I thought I was hearing things but yesterday too I heard the instrumental and the 'Tohfa Tohfa' tune when Umaben was disclosing that the shaadi broke - what's with that. Seriously the PH needs a music director and few tunes for different people as to they can play it when the characters come on screen.

I guess Sanaya probably selected this role as it gives her a chance to work with reputable actors and a more flexible work schedule due to 4 day airing and many supporting characters. Meens, there is a possibility that she is doing JDJ? That would be a perfect show to showcase her dancing abilities and Sanaya does love dancing. Yes, the limited hours here when compared to other channels does offer her the flexibility to try out something different in parallel.

On closer inspection of the pic, why were the said bahus wearing a ghunghat (at least over their heads), while the m-i-l was exempt from it herself?!
