As we know today Hanuman Janmotsav is being celebrated, many people are calling Jayanti, there is a huge difference between Jayanti and Janmotsav, Jayanti means birth Anniversary of a person who is not alive, while Janmotsav means birthday celebration of a person who is still alive in the world.

What Vibha said is right. Since childhood we are hearing it that way, Jayanthi means celebrating a divine being's birth , and janmotsav means, birthday of a human.

Weather is weird everywhere, we had snow storm yesterday, and nearly a million households have no power supply. Imagine their plight in the freezing weather.

Vibha yesterday there were lots of posts about this Hanuman Janmotsav by my friends and relatives, the explanation is given though. Hence I too felt relevant, thought sharing with you all.

Before posting here I too searched Google. Any how the divine power does not have any demise as in human form so Jayanti or Janmotsav does not matter to me. In both the cases I will be celebrating the Birth of Divine power called Hanumanji.

Yes there was snow fall, Rains in different parts of US. The place my younger son lives snows most of the year where as The Place where my Elder Son lives has pleasant most of the time, but it rains though.

The current fad our country is going through, they will bestow human power to Gods and divine power to humans and in my eyes, human is human, divine is divine, no confusion there, agree with Madi!
