I feel it's high time for Danish to do a critically acclaimed show that breaks the mould like SEA or a dark comedy like Ghisi Pitti Mohabbat.for it would be a notable feather in his cap. And if the character is meaty then it would be a chance for him to showcase his range.

I know it's too late but I am going to rant a bit about Ishq Hai 😆 So I apologise in advance.

I think they rushed into Isra x Shahzaib's wedding when they could have depicted more of their courtship period and,then,the brief breakup phase. Shahzaib's obsessive streak didn't last as long as I wanted it to. They could have highlighted the scenes that explore his desperation to be with Isra at all costs. Instead they wasted a lot of screentime on his annoying mom,bro,Nimra and that Haris. They could have done so much with the plot. Danish did his best but he deserved better from the script nevertheless. No offence to the rest of the cast but it felt as if he was working on everyone's behalf. And the color grading of the show could and should have been better 😤

Pretty much agree with what you said. At least the first four double episodes should've had Shahzaib and Isra's love story, maybe some flashbacks showing how they met.

Shahzaib's obsessive streak didn't last that long because he wasn't an obsessive character. He became so only because Isra was supposed to marry Haaris, he was to marry Nimra and no one was understanding him. He was a good guy who was getting wronged by everyone.

Actually if I remember correctly, the writer of the show had mentioned in her SH interview that the show was supposed to have Shahzaib being totally grey but because the first episode came out so romantic, they changed it completely. Maybe Danish and Minal's chemistry made a difference too.

Now when I look back I feel there were too many storylines which weren't needed. Like everyone had their own drama going on. Naina's unhappiness, neglect and then pregnancy, Hammad's stupidity, Haaris being Haaris, Raza-Sameera, Nimra, Khala Jaan... it was just way too much. Most of these subplots weren't even helping to take the story forward.

Danish chose this script for multiple reasons:

1. To give a solo hit without 7thSky

2. To work on a channel other than Geo

3. To prove his own stardom

4. To break the Sultan mould

Luckily he ended up achieving all of this.

And it seems KTK will be much better in every aspect and the budget seems to be a lot too. Fingers crossed and eagerly waiting ❤️

@bold: Itna tabbar bhar supporting cast lene ki jagah editing and lighting pe thoda aur paisa daal dete. Two scenes come to my mind when I think of their colour grading. One was when Isra rips the divorce papers and the last scene where Shahzaib and Isra return. Both had such horrible lighting, I swear I had to check if my laptop's brightness was on full. Specially that first scene because it was such an important one. Danish's expressions saved it for sure.
