i was going through Ay musht e khaak's thread and i came across your posts. Thats where i learnt that you are Feroze's fan. So i was wondering how do you feel about the whole Feroze vs Danish bit? Where do you stand on this? 😆 sorry if i am being to nosy 😆
These two usually get casted as anti hero/angsty hero/obsessesive lover. There is a lot of similarly between the two if you look at the broader picture. So what keeps you interested in both?
Well I wouldn't call myself a fan of Feroze since I am apathetic to him off the screen.😆I do enjoy watching him act in shows where he plays an obsessive lover or antihero though because I have a soft corner for characters like those and he excels in them.
When it comes to Danish,I tend to have an overall approach. What made me interested in him at first was obviously the character he portrayed onscreen but his is a personality that went on to grow on me. There are very few actors who can make me check out every project of their's and Danish is one of them.
Now if I have to compare Danish and Feroze as actors then they do have certain similarities and notable differences when it comes to their acting styles because all good actors have a style that is distinct to them. It is like a signature. While Feroze tends to channel all his energy into the character he plays thus molding himself into the said character,Danish is an actor who turns his characters into custom made outfits created solely for him with each one differing from the other.
Both have an intimidating screen presence onscreen that can overshadow any of their co actors unless the latter hold their fort. This screen presence can prove to be advantageous when they are playing antiheroes or a character that is larger than life because they need to draw all eyes towards themselves. However this very factor can become a hindrance when the character they play is one among the many on paper. The challenge in such a scenario is to cloak their presence and yet manage to stand out. It is due to this reason that many actors who shine in charismatic characters fall flat in ordinary ones in which they are required to blend with the rest onscreen at times.
But Danish did prove that he can subdue his screen presence and even regulate it at will as he did in Meherposh. Shahjahan was no Sultan Durrani or Jaan E Alam. He was just a normal guy who had fallen in love. Yet it was due to Danish's performance that one could understand why it was Shahjahan's story all along. It appeared believable that this was a man who unintentionally hurt the woman he loved and did everything in his power to rectify his error. I think Feroze needs to work on that aspect because,in my opinion, this is the reason why he is unable to leave a mark in characters that aren't supposed to be monumental.
As far as the competition between the two is concerned then I am unfazed by it.😆 Healthy competition is inevitable irrespective of the field one belongs to.
