I am hopeful of Bhaisa TBH 🤪 but let's see.

On the contrary, I ain't... 🤪

So true! 🤣 🤣 🤣

But in our defense, last year bhi maine bas hawa mein vote nahi kia tha. Tumhara FF incomplete tha to ignore kia but shots perfect that to ussi pe vote kia. And I am sure ki tum bhi bas naam ke liye vote nahi karogi. In fact, abhi bhi agar tumhe lagta hain ki koi shot/FF bakwas hain, you have full liberty to vote another one. 👍🏼

To itne andhe to hum bhi nahi hain. 😛

Well, I agree on this... Hum log at least full andhe hokar to vote karte nahi hain.

Precisely! 🤗

Okay, before anything else, I need to rant a bit... Not about the show or either Raghav or Pallavi but a general rant.

First, a description of the promo:

In the latest promo, we are shown a clash of ideologies... which btw was bound to come sooner or later. Pallavi working at some place and having a flashback of her talking to Raghav about the money he earned by illegal means and Raghav saying that even she is with him because of his money.

And then we are shown Raghav having a mental breakdown/mental trauma and nurses and wardboys along with the househelps trying to control him and Pallavi watching him with pain in her expressions.

So, my general rant is about the people with their usual comments ki "RR to ek baar mein 5-6 logon ko maar sakta hai. How can he be so helpless? Hume RR ko pagal nahi dekha... We don't want him to go mad."

I mean is mental breakdown/trauma specific to those people who are physically weak? Can a physically strong person not have a mental breakdown? Besides, mental health doesn't see money, power and status, right? In fact, any sort of health issues don't...

They have always shown Raghav having anxiety attacks. Pallavi has been that emotional support for him and hence these attacks had reduced. So, why is that people can't accept that he is having a mental breakdown? Isn't he also a human like others who can face such issues?? Just because he is physically strong and can easily beat people to a pulp, he can't face such issues? Also, having a mental breakdown or anxiety is equal to becoming mad??

First coming to RR... I simply refuse to believe ki ye banda ek Don hai. Ye sirf ek self proclaimed Don hai. Reality mein, he is just a super rich businessman jo customs mein gadbad karta hai and had anger issues (as a defense mechanism) because of his loneliness and guilt. Isse zyada ye kuch nahi hai. 🤪

Now, on a serious note I'm almost sure they definitely won't go for a complete sudharofying of RR... He has been established as a grey character so, I doubt if they'd turn him into a complete seedha-saada person. Yes, they probably will go for them having a middle ground here. They probably will try to go for a sort of minor change, maybe him realising the issues that his illegal dealings will create for his family and such stuff.

For Pallavi... I'm damn sure, she won't be leaving/divorcing him. She loves him way too much.

Fans to definitely find ways to praise their favs and bash the one that they don't like.

And the FD too is a toxic one... but still, its somewhat less toxic as compared to a few other FDs. But toxic to hai... no denying of that fact.

PS. I'll watch the clip later on... link delete mat karna.

Precisely my point! I would love to believe that both of you and Madhura can't be wrong and gush over a character if they hadn't shown proper substance.

But from the point I have started to keep a tab, RR is nothing more than typical Gul's MLs who have issues from their past, vents a lot and is actually a businessman. In fact, it reminds me of Nazifa's Dad's dialogue from PM that every businessman at points get involved with illegal works if they want to survive the competition and thrive. Some do small things and some do KAANDs.

And honestly, I have seen better written grey character(s) even in ITV. Won't even brag about International shows here. So why add the DON tag and then show this shit? Even a grey person can have lakh times more complexity and that can affect his relationships. It's not necessary to even bring a middle ground and prove the FL to be another Mamta Ki Moorat who sudharofied the ML but here they are doing that only with Pallu always running to RR's rescue and those stuff.

So it's just a disappointment - that's all.

The first part of the promo is what I mentioned earlier - a clash is bound to happen but they are gonna go for the sudharofy way because it's too much to ask of an Indian FL to bend her morals. Cut to the clip I shared.

And the second part - people are just educated idiots at their best. Most of the people still don't know how mental disorder work or how it can exhaust someone.

A person who has so much issues and frequently suffers from panic attack would either leave it all and opt for a simple life as I have read about such stories of real life people.

Or like an addict they would run behind the exhilaration more, dive deep and eventually they might even lose themselves. A middle ground for a mental disorder is next to impossible to achieve and I salute them who battle this problem on a daily basis.

As for fans, let them go to hell. Give them shirtless pic, they'll rally behind RR but when you show them a story they can't invest themselves. Don't get yourself involved in a battle where it's Actor driven not character driven.

See, I do love RR's character but I'm not blind to his faults. He has his own faults which he is trying to overcome but hasn't fully overcome. I love him for his plus points but at the same time, I criticize him for his faults too just like I do with Pallavi.

He is indeed just a businessman who has anger issues due to all the loneliness and guilt and now is finally trying to lead a happy and peaceful life with his family.

Bold: Precisely... Businessmen at certain points do get involved in illegal works and that is exactly the base of this track. He is involved with evading custom duties to get the diamonds into the country.

Obviously there have been better written grey characters and there (probably) will be better written characters in future. Nowhere do I say that RR is the best grey character.

Also, like I said earlier, I never took his Don tag seriously.

Ab idhar dekhna padega ki exacly kya karenge ye log.

I don't think they'd have Pallavi bend her morals but at the same time, I also don't think that they'd have Raghav bend completely and turn into a saint. Raghav needs to realize that money is not everything and at the same time, Pallavi too needs to see the grey shade of the world out there. As we were already shown, with whatever he and his family faced due to their extreme poverty, Raghav's belief has been altered into thinking that money can buy everything. He needs to let go off this notion. So, I guess this particular track will be more of this aspect.

At the same time, we have Pallavi who is shown as completely righteous, someone who is unaware of the grey side of the world out there. So, I guess they might touch on this aspect too provided they handle this track properly.

Found a quite interesting analysis of the promo:

Generally I'm not into analysis and stuff but I kinda liked this thread... so, sharing it here.

Exactly... They are just educated idiots. We have already seen Raghav's panic attacks. We know he is emotionally vulnerable at times. They just don't understand the fact.

Plus just because a person appears strong physically, you can't say that he is mentally equally strong, right? He/she might be suffering from some trauma/anxiety while appearing completely fit and fine from the exterior...

A middle ground is obviously next to impossible to achieve. And definitely, even I salute those who are battling these issues on a daily basis.

Totally agree on this... They are just crazy after RR because of his looks, personality and of course, shirtless RR. They don't give a damn about the story...

Already they have started cribbing ki makers can separate Raghvi or might even kill off Pallavi if they want but we don't want a poor RR nor a mentally ill RR.

You didn't get my point dear. It's not about whether he is the best or not. His entre backstory like how he watched his father getting humiliated and then his and his brother's death - he has all the reasons to believe that money is the solution to everything. On moral ground it's wrong but if you see from his perspective, he is 100% justified.

And as much as he's trying to improve, some darkness always leaves its shadow. There's no escape from it.

Sorry for bringing TVD again but that's exactly how they showed Damon. He was sweet and earnest to the fault, had a terrible father, the girl he loved chose his brother over him and when he became a Vampire, he became roothless. Even when he tried to be better, that impulse never left him. On so many occasions he chose to do the wrong thing because that would justify why he didn't get peace after everything. And till the last episode of TVD this insecurity was there and Elena always proved the others wrong. She might have fought with him, broken up with him but in the end she chose to be with him.

Of course a bit of moral compassing was there too but she stayed knowing she is a positive influence on him. She wasn't pulling stupid stuff like they are showing Pallu to lead a middle class life to change perspective of RR and Damon tried to behave. But both had to bend. There was no Pyaar Ki Taqat or FL glorification. I mean the Pyaar Ki Taqat was there but with so many other things included like his love for his brother Stefan or his willingness to protect Bonnie - everything added to the plot

That's what I'm saying. A person with such a past would never get it all. Major clashes will be there and then both will have to bend. And when you add the tag DON it becomes multiple times difficult since he's bound to kill people at points.

Sickand can do anything but he can never write a character like Damon or Klaus because there was no whitewashing or Taadka, just raw emotion.

So this is where I am saying this plot doesn't interest me because they won't address the repercussions of a dark past but get into gimmicks like Middle class lifestyle. That's it.

Exactly! As I told you in the last reply as well, it has to be a joint effort. RR has to try but it's also inevitable that his past will always haunt him. Whereas Pallu needs to understand that if he loves the man, she has to accept his darker side also. She can't have it her way always.

Cool! I liked the way she used symbolism here. 👍🏼

Since we both agree on the last two parts, I am not quoting that portion.
