Pant a bit of a left-field choice, but has been in good form for India, so they probably thought he'd carry on that momentum.

Btw, one of the reasons DC appointed Iyer as captain originally was because of astrology!

@Bold- true, has gone for plenty previously for Delhi 😃

But good death bowling is tough for any Indian seamer not named Bumrah, Bhuvi, Shami (and now perhaps you can add Natarajan to that list). Everyone else leaks runs and can be taken for plenty.

Yes, but blocks an international spot. Smith can captain, but has a poor T20 record.

Rabada and Nortje 100% guaranteed a starting XI place, and so is Hetmyer- that's 3 overseas spots gone.

Stoinis and Woakes far more important to the balance of the team than Smith.

I thought siraj will be great but i guess need to pick him after he takes some wicket. Bumro was great. Koach was okayish should have done 50. Should have picked the other Pandya brother

I didn’t think about it that way. Smith isn’t that important for Delhi and will probably not make it to the playing 11
